  1. Um the entire 2015 draft was with the Bills in 2015. The entire 2014 draft was with the Bills in 2014. The entire 2013 draft was with the Bills in 2013, except for the kicker who got beat out in camp. what
  2. TBH, I think the 2024 Giants roster with Josh have a decent shot of having a better record than the 2024 Bills roster with Josh A DROY candidate in the first round? Man, that would not be like Beane at all. He needs guys to shed 30 pounds then put 20 back on while they are a healthy scratch
  3. If you had your way, we’d probably still be winning 6 games a year with Rex afraid to do worse and never have McD or Beane at all.
  4. Drought brain. ”Give Chan/Rex/Jauron/Greggggg more time! At least we are winning 7 or 6 games instead of 2-3. What if the next coach is worse?” That’s because fans still don’t realize that what ended the Pats dynasty was not them losing Belichick, but losing Brady. Really bizarre stuff.
  5. One game because McD coached us to 6-6 at the midpoint. or was that not his fault too
  6. why? isn’t McD kind of at fault for starting out 6-6?
  7. So wait, you don’t even think McDermott is the biggest reason we make the playoffs every year but somehow losing him means we wouldn’t make the playoffs anymore? Um
  8. Okay fair enough. Are you of the opinion that without McD, the Bills would’ve lost the division to the Dolphins this year?
  9. Peter is still a Rex > McD guy deep down. Bless his heart.
  10. Elam is lucky he’s a late first. If he was top 15, he would in the argument for sure
  11. The defense wasn’t even that good this year. Outside the top 10, and their efficiency numbers were legit terrible. Was there a game this season we won only because of masterful McD defensive coaching? What if McD says no, I’m not hiring a top defensive coordinator.
  12. I know you wrote all of this and it was hard work. the obvious point to “there’s no guarantee that they could do it here” is that there’s also no guarantee McDermott can get his defense right against the Chiefs. Maybe less so because he’s already tried and failed multiple times. Not only that, but to say “there’s no guarantee Fangio could do it here” then somehow use McDermott’s stats from Carolina/Philly while holding Fangio’s record against him in Denver when he had no QB seems inherently unfair. There was no guarantee that Fangio would turn around the Eagles defense when they hired him. He now has a Super Bowl ring. No guarantee though. There was no guarantee firing John Fox and hiring Gary Kubiak would get the Broncos a ring. Of course, they won one. But no guarantee. That’s all fine. If you think McDermott is all that holds us back from being terrible again, I get not wanting to move on. Personally if McD retired tomorrow, I doubt our SB chances take all that much of a hit. I would bet we still win 11 or more games, still cruise to an AFCE title and guaranteed top 4 seed. That’s me. Which is why I don’t think keeping him to fail against the Chiefs and get to 0-9 in the playoffs before we give up makes a whole lot of sense.
  13. Its why Marrone cut Tashard Choice's ass @Gugny
  14. So do you think McD vs (insert coach here) is the difference between being back in the drought, 6 wins every year and winning 11-13 games?
  15. Um, I don't think losing 1 or 2 games is going to cost us the AFCE. We clinched it like week 11 this year.
  16. They literally existed. Vic Fangio was out there, he just made KC play their worst offensive game in 3 years. Ben Johnson was available. He was the hottest offensive coach on the market and turned Jared Goff into an MVP candidate. Bill Belichick was available, he’s beaten KC in the playoffs. Lou Anarumo was available, he’s beaten KC in the playoffs. I’m really confused at this argument. I think McD is a top 10 coach. I think that’s very fair. He’s very good at a lot of things, and I’m personally very thankful for him being largely responsible for changing the culture and turning the entire franchise around. I think he came into Buffalo with a very tall task and him and Beane changed the cultural inertia of being losers and obviously hit on a future HoF QB. I think a lot of HC’s could not have accomplished that. That being said, we don’t really need that anymore. the goal is to win. The culture is changed. If McD got fired and Joe Brady took over, I really really really don’t think the Bills would go back to 6-11 every season and miss the playoffs for 17 straight years. I don’t think anyone does. Do you? I think McD would get a job instantly. But to get over the hump, coordinator/scheme changes work. We just watched it with the Eagles. Two years ago, they got lit up by KC in the SB. They turned into one of the worst defenses a year later and were an early playoff exit. The next season, drafted some good rookies, hired a new DC and were an excellent defense all year and completely destroyed the Chiefs in the SB. We just saw it happen. I think it’s more likely that if the Bills get a new rookie class and a new DC/scheme, they are better vs KC in the postseason vs keeping the McD defense with a new rookie class. He’s had what, 5 attempts at that? Same result, every time.
  17. Am I going crazy or was McDermott .500 through 8 weeks just a season ago and had to pull a rabbit out of his hat to get the team to 11-6? not saying it was bad, but is that really an upper echelon of regular season success that is difficult to replicate with the best QB in football?
  18. this feels like a word that should be censored
  19. I think the goal with a new coach wouldn’t be to go 16-1 or 17-0 but to not lose to KC in the playoffs again.
  20. How many Dolphins fans are sick that Marino never won a ring
  21. Fair enough I would consider never reaching the mountaintop with likely the most talented QB the team will ever have to be a catastrophe. So that paints the opinions. And I consider Josh Allen to be 90% of architect of that success that we have already had.
  22. Everyone has answered this question every year lol
  23. dilfer was okay, not great. Okay let’s put it this way. would you consider it a failure if the Bills never won a ring with Josh Allen? I would, personally. Despite enjoying every single season far immensely more than I enjoyed the drought. Thats all.
  24. Yep. Morrison is the exact player that this regime passes on and if/when he hits, it will pay off massively. If his medicals are bad and he’s there, I would take him. On the field, he has a chance to be one of the great CBs in an NFL with very few left.
  25. I take away from this game that Mahomes isn’t as good as advertised and I hope the Bills players take that away too. He can be flustered and he can play like dog ***** until garbage time. To me, this game was far different from his performance in 2020. Mahomes also sucked that game, but it was less of a personal disaster. Last week, Mahomes was the #1 problem with the Chiefs offense. The Eagles helped him along but Mahomes was the Chief (get it) architect of the beat down.
