I watched the whole presser and I felt like Beane was distancing himself from McD quite a bit. My memory is a bit hazy, but in previous pressers I felt like he used a lot more “we, us” language and talked about the team as a collaboration between him and Sean. This presser, I felt like he was, consciously or not, really separating his part of the job from Sean’s.
