  1. There is no chance the Jets trade him unless he's included in an Adams package. Trading for Davante then trading away Wilson would be so dumb.
  2. I have been banging the drum on improving the WR room for years now. I have thought about Adams more, and I think I like the other options that are likely available a little bit better. My reasoning is that Adams will likely be the most expensive, as he's the best. That wouldn't matter in a general trade because you are paying for the talent. However, there is the question of "can we take full advantage of Adams midway through the season, learning the playbook, building chemistry with Josh etc?" We aren't going to trade for Adams midseason and have him producing at a 1300 yard season pace on day 1. Will he work his way up to be at his peak with Josh by the postseason? Maybe. OBJ is the last big midseason receiver move I can think of. He put up 38 YPG in the regular season and then went off in the playoffs. Is a second round pick worth that? I guess if we win a SB it is. Could Amari Cooper have that same impact for a 3rd or 4th? I think so.
  3. Personally, I don't think its congruous to not be worried about if our WRs are up to snuff because of the first 3 games, but also worried about our safeties despite the first 3 games.
  4. Traded up for Kincaid and Elam as well.
  5. Would be very Buffalo Bills to trade for Buddha Baker to save the S room instead of WR.
  6. We better hope Coleman isn't great. Because if he's great, he's not gonna win a Super Bowl.
  7. AJE is not good. OCT had a good rookie year but has regressed badly and is likely the worst starter on the line. Bishop has barely played. Coleman was not our second, but a trade back of our first. James Cook is a running back. Adams went to the Raiders to play with his friend and get paid. They traded his friend and are worse now than they were 3 years ago with no chance of competing. I know draft picks make everyone crazy. "A second round pick for Davante Adams! Davante Adams is a HoF WR, but a second round pick could be anything! It could even be a HoF WR!"
  8. If Josh gives up on McD and Co, they will be fired lol. There is nobody with more power when push comes to shove in that org. This isn't Brady vs BB. If Josh threatens to walk, ownership will move heaven and earth to keep him. Like I said, don't worry.
  9. 4 seasons is wishful thinking. Young and talented player is also wishful thinking. Yes, that 2nd might be a great young player. He also might be Boogie Basham or Cody Ford. It's a no-brainer for a 2, imo.
  10. Has to mean that they are hearing Bills interest is legit, imo.
  11. Huh? No fans and limited media presence would be MORE reason for Herbert to leave. Also, this is the first I've seen that it spun as a positive that Herbert has played for 3 HC's already in his 5 year career. Usually, that's an indication that the org is a mess. Burrow made one SB with a good defensive performance 3 years ago so he is a Bengal for life is the argument? When they can't figure out the OL and he has been hurt every other year since? Okay. Josh is getting national Gatorade commercials in Buffalo. He is widely considered a superstar in the league, he is covering all the promos and video games and everything else. I would like the Bills to do a better job to support Allen as well, but please don't let this inferiority complex get you down. He is not going anywhere.
  12. Even if we got Odunze or BTJ, WR would still be one of the biggest needs on the roster. I'm not sure Beane sees it that way but I don't know.
  13. I don't know but Josh will extend here, like every other QB of his caliber does and the hand-wringing on him leaving us high and dry will seem silly. The Bills are a good team. Buffalo isn't a perfect place, but there is no reason for the inferiority complex that we will be the first team to fumble a franchise QB because we don't WIN THE SB. We compete every year, which is better than like 29 other teams. The Chargers are a mess and can't even compete. Their fans and the media was concerned Herbert would walk. He signed the first chance he could get. The Bengals have a terrible owner and are notoriously cash-poor. They had one good run. There was talk about them being so bad that Burrow should have pulled an Eli. He signed the first chance he could get. Dak has failed over and over and over again in Dallas. He was playing chicken with his owner in the media. He has gotten everything he wanted in negotiations, TWICE. Two notable QB's have walked in FA in the last 25 years when they weren't 100 years old. Brees, who wasn't a franchise QB and who had injury concerns, whose replacement was drafted and on the roster after being selected #4. Manning, whose neck was falling off and whose replacement was waiting for his old team at #1 overall. Barring weird injury stuff, there's nothing to worry about.
  14. That's fine, but we traded Diggs before the draft. 6 months ago now. At this point, that's like saying, "this team as constructed this year was supposed to have Hyde/Poyer/Tre as part of it." If we traded Diggs in TC, I would feel differently.
  15. The team deciding to move on from a WR and Josh Allen refusing to re-sign here as a free agent is apple to orangutans. He won't leave and he won't be traded.
  16. I really cannot wrap my brain around BB's philosophy. Puts together Diggs/Brown/Beasley/Davis. One of the better WR groups in Bills history. Talent erodes, they bet on Davis improving Desperately brings back Beasley and Brown both in mid-2022. Rolls with Sherfield and Harty as the 2 big additions in 2023. Goes backwards even further in 2024, then takes calls on Adams. Does he think the WR's are good enough? We rolled into this season with this crew plus a bunch of cast-offs who predictably remained cast-offs. Did he change his mind this week? It just makes no sense. It feels like he lurches from one side to the other.
  17. Maybe Kincaid isn't as good as those dudes....
  18. No, which is why it's silly.
  19. The last 2-3 years, they haven't done a good job taking advantage of the middle of the field. They still don't, with Shakir/Kincaid who should be effective in that area. You can't blame Allen, when he took advantage of the middle to great effect with Cole Beasley for 2 years.
  20. if you watch a Rams game, it looks like every other completion comes at Tre's expense. He looks like the worst CB in the league now. Sad.
  21. Cole Beasley was an All-Pro slot with Allen. He didn't play outside or deep.
  22. I know we all talk about how these coaches know much more football than us. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how we cannot figure out 12 personnel. Especially now, with more teams staying in Cover 2 shells. It blows my mind. Brandon Beane must be SCREAMING every Sunday that he spent a first round pick on a TE, and paid another TE like top 7 money, and we CANNOT get a staff who can figure out how to use them both effectively.
  23. ???? We basically HAVE a Pats level receiving core. In fact, lots of folks POINTED at the Pats about a team that won multiple SB's with unremarkable receiving talent. Mack and MVS is the kind of JAG that BB would feel right at home coaching. There's no great WR group to destroy. Also, BB can still coach defense and its inarguable. 2018 was a long time ago, but last year, with a horrific QB and horrific offense, his defense was 3rd in yards per drive and 5th in points per drive. They have been great defensively even til the end. Since 2021, the Pats' defense have been 6th, 5th, and 9th in DVOA. As far as the Falcons go, Morris is already actively losing games, and they have spent multiple top 10 picks on guys they cannot even begin to understand how to use. If the Falcons picked Morris over BB, it's a pretty safe bet they picked wrong. Personally, I think BB is never coming back. But wrinkling your nose at the greatest defensive coach of all time? Please.
  24. I actually agree with this, except for OCT. I don't know what is going on with that guy, but after a promising rookie season, he looks much much much worse.
