  1. I think the reasons for this under achieving performance vs. the Patriots were: Under-estimating the opponent. The coaches rested folks in preparation for the playoffs only because they were super confident that the Patriots are simply not up to the task. Luckily, we dodged a bullet. Lack of preparation, sloppy play, i.e. sleepwalking; and Support from the refs. Opponents put up their best performance against us because they do not under-estimate us and come fully prepared with their A-game. We should do the same, particularly, against teams in our Division. I can see the logic to resting key players so that we are fully healthy before the playoffs. However, if we decide to do that, we need to focus even more on preparation.
  2. Agree with both, but the first was a head-scratcher because we were not able to stop them throughout the game, so why would you trust our defense to discover what they have been doing wrong for the first 57 minutes and suddenly fix it in the last few minutes? What insight did we have to make that decision? Conversely, they had not been able to stop us either. So, take the 3 point and the ball. In a game like this, the last person with the ball wins, just about every time.
  3. Is the 'Babe' coming? It would be sweet if she watched Travis Kelce get whooped.
  4. What about the Ravens game? Could not stop the run when we knew it was coming. Sleepwalking plus outplayed in every phase of the game.
  5. There are a couple of games this season where the Bills simply were not ready to play in the first half - what I call sleepwalking. This past Sunday they fixed that issue; however, the question is, will this good performance carry forward when we play top-teams like the Chiefs?
  6. Nope, they were amazing! Played well on all fronts and Keon Coleman was focused. Proud of this team!!
  7. Perhaps. singling out Coleman was a little unfair. But, our team has a history of taking it easy against opponents we are favored to beat. We shall see. I have always rooted for the Bills, but never hesitate to call it out when they under-perform or do not seem to want the win as much as the other team.
  8. If he has an outstanding game, I will take it back....
  9. Yes, he does. He is a great coach and probably the best one we ever had (maybe a tie with Levy). I would not change him for any other coach in the league today. That said, when our team sleepwalks through an entire first half, we should call it out and not make excuses for the team.
  10. Nope, it is the history of the Bills sleepwalking when they underestimate an opponent and lose games they should not. What our players sometimes forget is that those those "allegedly" weak opponents circle their game against the Bills and come fully prepared. How many games did we sleepwalk through the first half (including last year) before suddenly coming to our senses and, in some cases, too late?
  11. I wonder whether Keon Coleman is still celebrating 'Rookie of the Week' and the Titans win or whether he has turned his focus to Seattle.
  12. He is one of the highest-paid QBs in the league. So, I would not say that he is under-appreciated. His four-year, $212.4 million contract includes $167.2 million in guaranteed money; although, most of those guarantees are conditional. However, the contract also includes incentives based on performance and playoff wins, which could increase his pay to $55.35 million per year and the total value of the contract could reach $221.4 million.
  13. These are young men who can and do make mistakes, such as getting over-confident, losing their cool, making mental errors, committing penalties. etc. And, yes, sleepwalking. That is why they have coaches who teach them the skills needed for their position, prepare for the next game, and stay focused. They need some adult supervision.
  14. I really do like single malts from Scotland. There it is spelt whisky. It is called whiskey in the US and the product is not nearly as good as that in Scotland. I take it you prefer the US whiskeys.
  15. I am not as optimistic about Seattle. I have the fear that our champions are real happy about the Titans win and are taking this game for granted.
