That's what happens when you have a billion picks. They still have shown no ability to put it together. Maybe this will be the year but I'm not betting on it. -

Oh no, the Jets are going to lose 21-35 to the Bills instead of 14-35. The horror. -

To everybody saying stuff like "The Jets are killing it!" How couldn't they be killing it with the billion picks they have? Frankly the last 3 years I've heard the same thing about the Jets winning the draft, and every year the Jets end up 5-12. I'm not worried until they prove otherwise. -

I'd kind of be surprised. They brought everybody back in the RB room. -

A receiver means Rodgers might be able to choke in the NFC championship game instead of the divisional one. -

Old sunburnt leather people... It's definitely an accurate representation of a lot of Florida people. -

I didn't realize it was 2006 again, I have no idea who thought it'd be a good idea to get Cris Angel but they were wrong. That was just bizarre. -

To me this is where the draft is going to get really interesting. Now that CB is addressed there are so many different directions the Bills can go in. Our team is so deep that from here on out we can basically take value and feel comfortable with that. I'd love a WR, RB, or even some IOL depth but there are great arguments for LB, S, hell I wouldn't rule out taking another CB even. So fun. -
The 3-team deal I’d like to see the Bills pull off on day 2

What team is gonna pay you a premium asset after you've shown your hand and moved up to draft his replacement? It'd be just like the Baker situation in Cleveland, teams would just wait you out. Regardless, the Bills are really high on Edmunds, even if the fans are so-so. I think he's proven to be a solid starting LB and a decent enough signal caller. He's not going anywhere. -
The immediate reaction was so negative, I was legitimately surprised by it.
-
I guess there's an argument to be made for trading up and getting one of those WRs. The only guys I thought that would be worth it for the Bills would have been Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, or Garret Wilson and all of those guys were taken so early that you'd be giving up way too much.
-
We don't know that for sure though really, and we probably never will. Beane said Elam was the last guy left that they had a 1st round grade on, but we don't know if he had McDuffie higher on the big board. I think it's possible that they had size concerns about him.
-
I think Ford looked worse than he was because Daryll Williams was sucking it up bad at Tackle too. I'm not saying he was good, but I don't want to see the Bills invest a 2nd into IOL really. Give me a skill position guy like Skyy Moore, Christain Watson, or Breece Hall. I want to see an offensive impact moving forward.
-
I could totally see that happening, especially with the 4th round pick gone now.
-
If Bills fans are this upset, I can't imagine what it must be like to be a Patriots fan when they traded back to take a late 3rd round guard at 29.
-
Okay. So I'm going to ask you again, who was available at 23 or 25 that would contribute to alleviate that? Last time I asked you, you gave me a linebacker, which wouldn't do anything to answer the problem that you're putting out there. You seem upset with the Elam pick, mainly because you think the offense needs shoring up, right? Well I'm saying that there's nobody left in that first round that makes sense to take for our offense. So you're left with trading down, or filling that clear need at CB with a guy with incredible tools, something that Beane loves. I'm just trying to understand why you're upset. It just seems irrational.
-
I don't really think there was a clear problem. They were very good, one of the best in the league. I don't know why you're asking me that though. If you think there was a problem, by all means enlighten me.
-
I don't see how that's obvious at all. Why would the Bills draft a LB to sit all year when there's a big, gaping hole at CB. You don't have to agree with the Bills but it's clear they like Edmunds. You were also talking this whole time about how the Bills are doing Allen dirty, so I don't see how drafting a LB supports what you were saying previously.
-
I mostly agree, I was just arguing with the other poster who said the Bills were doing the same thing to Allen that Green Bay has done historically to Rodgers. Just pointing out that the Bills have used premium assets to help out Allen. I'm all for drafting weapons in rounds 2-3, I just don't see how it wouldn't be a big reach to have done that at pick 23, where just about all of the 1st round WR talent was already spoken for.
-
I'm dumb. Fixed, thank you.
-
Ah yeah, the great Can Newton. You know they went to a superbowl right? You could do a lot worse than that run of years Carolina had when he was at his peak. That's really not the insult you're trying to make it out to be. Allen has a much better throwing motion too so the window is just going to be open longer. Full disclosure, I wanted a WR too, but I don't want them to reach for one. There was no WR left on that board that had a 1st round consensus. It's just a fact. The IOL was gone. Going RB is just bad business. CB2 is a logical and good place for them to invest in, and now we have a cost controlled asset opposite White for the next five years. I really don't understand your logic here. Who was on the board that was the obvious pick over Elam, or even CB?
-
I know what you're trying to say, but re-read that sentence and tell me it makes sense. Beane used the 2020 first round pick to get Diggs, so you're objectively wrong about that. Green Bay hasn't hit really on any WR draft picks, we have with Davis. We've signed decent FA depth historically as well, while Green Bay has certainly had more trouble than this. It sounds like to me that you're having a tantrum instead of thinking about this logically.
-
Lots of options and paths for the Bills to go in now that they're set at CB2. RB is a fun idea, but WR, IOL, even TE are all in play.
-
I hope not. Knox is such a weapon and he's in the upper echelon of TEs.
