  1. I'm just gonna say this: At this point, if Hopkins goes to another team for a reasonable price it's going to be a major condemnation of Beane. Say what you will about resource management, the offense needs another star caliber player, badly.
  2. I think you're all probably safe to go to bed now. If they're gonna sign him it won't be until tomorrow.
  3. Come on Beane, make everyone's day!
  4. The best defense is an unstoppable offense.
  5. I don't have any disdain, not really. Just trying to be a joker. It's true though, it might be my 2nd least favorite Beane pick his tenure. The first being Cody Ford over DK.
  6. Built for whatever and whenever... Except for reliable pass rushing. Doesn't seem particularly well built for that.
  7. The Titans are the fakest "contender" team to ever exist. If Hopkins actually wants to compete for a ring, there shouldn't be any way they are in the discussion.
  8. That would be the biggest steal since the last time Hopkins was traded.
  9. I'll take cheap OG lottery tickets all day. Maybe we get lucky and one of them will hit.
  10. I agree with everything you're saying, and I just want to add: By most reports, Hopkins isn't going to cost that much in terms of draft capital. Some are arguing because of his contract it might only be a 4th or 5th round pick and possibly a player. This isn't even mortgaging the future like the Rams have done. It's just making your team better right now.
  11. Dunne has a vendetta against the current Bills regime. I don't even think it's debatable. He's been consistently negative on them since the moment they took over. That being said, he's not entirely wrong that a philosophy change is warranted. He's just a jerk about it.
  12. I did say "if it's available", which would be a presupposition that AZ would be interested in the deal as stated. "Who says no to that?" is from the Bills perspective. I also said earlier in the thread that I think it's unlikely that Hopkins goes to the Bills. It's fun to speculate. Let people speculate.
  13. And Beane shouldn't be, honestly. He was a very high pick that has not been nearly consistent enough or dominant enough, and I think he's started to run out of excuses as to why. He's a solid, good player, but not the superstar that we drafted him to be. Good teams don't pay solid players like superstars.
  14. If I'm Brandon Beane I'm making that move in a heartbeat, if it's available. Then you're free to draft your DT of the future. How could you say no to that?
  15. Sure would be fun, I don't see it happening, but it would be really fun.
  16. There's an argument to be made that you'd rather keep Singletary and lose Hines, but then you're losing the return game as well. Overall, I'm happy with the RB room with how it's shaken out.
  17. 1 year "prove you can stay healthy" deal for way cheaper than Singletary, and arguably a better fit for our offense. I kind of love it.
  18. They were bad when I was a kid in the 90s. Bar Bill is one of the top choices for sure though.
  19. They certainly don't have them perfect anymore. The Anchor bar is terrible.
  20. McKenzie is a rosterable NFL player, so I'm not surprised he landed somewhere quickly. Good luck to him, I'm not sure sure if he'll ever be able to put it all together, but he's a nice depth/gadget piece.
  21. This is fine. He's not ideal, but he's still above Bobby Hart and that tier.
  22. Is it the worst idea if he's really cheap? Probably not. It's a flyer move for a guy who massively underperformed last season. I wouldn't hate it.
  23. I'll be incredibly surprised if the Bills or the Chiefs end up with Hopkins. I like the idea of OBJ or Hopkins as a stopgap for the next two years, because I don't believe in Davis anymore, and I don't think it's prudent to re-sign him quickly.
