I love this and I definitely wanted him back. When he's healthy he is a FORCE in this defense. It's like he's tailor made for the McD defense.

I agree with all of this. If we don't see WR/TE/OL in the first 2 rounds I don't see how we get through the playoffs. Harty and Sherfield seem like okay pieces. McGovern is fine. Harris is a smart signing. Maybe okay pieces is enough to make the offense run much more smoothly, but I don't want to bet it on it. Getting a 1B WR means teams have to shift gameplans, because right now stopping Diggs is a surefire way to frustrate the offense.

Isn't this probably because he doesn't trust his line? You "feel" the pressure a lot more when you're used to the defense getting home fast.

The lack of investment in the offense is why Allen has to play like Superman every game. It's very obvious why Josh puts the team on his back, because the offense was Diggs and Allen doing superhuman stuff. Almost everyone else was a JAG.

I love drafting a WR, but I don't love it for helping us right now, this year. McD doesn't get rookies involved on offense. Even if we got McLaurin (love that idea) or Hopkins or OBJ, I still want the Bills to invest in a early round WR.

The Bills need a significant signing at WR. Beane overvalues his draft choices and picks. Gabe Davis is not a 1B or #2 WR. We have the best QB in the division and the 3rd best WR room. Invest in your superstar Beane. Get it done.

If the Bills let Hopkins go to the Chiefs then it's a failure of Bills' front office. The Bills should be in for any trade that the Chiefs are interested in.

Honestly, Oliver is fine, but you can get very similar production for much cheaper. I'd just take whatever you can get. If that's the holdup, it's Beane overvaluing his high draft pick. It didn't work out, he's not the game wrecker we wanted him to be, and that's okay. Just move on.

That's fair. I do think McGovern is an upgrade from Saffold, but you're right in that I'd like to see them do more (cough cough Spencer Brown).

Please correct me if I'm wrong but there's no O-Lineman of Hopkins' status available for a trade, much less a presumable cheap-ish trade. Just because you have deficiencies in one position group doesn't mean you shouldn't take a golden opportunity to massively increase another.

Yes, but the further and further you get out of round 1 the less and less certain it becomes that you can get a contributor that will make a splash now. The window is now and the division has gotten better and better.

For me it'll be more about how Beane overvalues and overestimates the players he currently has in the building. If you don't shore up the WR room, the conversation to the draft basically becomes "Well we have to grab a WR round 1, right?"

All he really excels at is running go routes. There's a place for that in an offense but he shouldn't be your #2 guy. (Wait, am I still talking about Agholor or did I start talking about Gabe Davis?)

This really isn't an update at all. And as far as "salary dumps" go, this is a very high quality player, make it happen Beane. Wanna be the best? You need superstars, not just solid guys.

I understand this sentiment, but he's also built for this scheme. He excels in this system when healthy. Personally, I'd like to see him back, but obviously the cheaper the better.
