Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bruffalo replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
You'd be right if it got to that point. The SRO didn't even make a report (I think), I don't think he was ever arrested. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bruffalo replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
A few years ago a the husband of a coworker walked into the school we both worked at, and started screaming for her. When she came out into the hallway he immediately grabbed her and tried to force her to come with him. When she refused, he began to choke her out, in public. Two custodians (who happened to also be football coaches) and I forcibly removed him from the premises. He luckily didn’t fight back much, I think he realized that the odds weren’t with him. She refused to cooperate with the school resource officer who showed up soon after, even though it was blatantly public. -
GMs deal with this kind of stuff all the time. The Bills will be okay.

What if we just replace the whole team with tight ends?

Of course. I don't want to make it out to seem like I've already decided his guilt or innocence. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

This is wrong but my first thought is "Does he have a morality clause in his contract we can leverage?" EDIT: Just in case this needs to be said. Abusing anyone is wrong, but especially a loved one. It's horrific behavior that creates generational trauma. I'm not saying Miller is guilty, just that the act of domestic abuse is disgusting. -
From a former McDermott Supporter: It is OVAH

We would have lost 1-2 games if that was the case. We would be at the top of the AFC if McD didn’t fail so spectacularly at the end of games. -
8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
Bruffalo replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
We needed McDermott to call a competent 4th quarter and we win. 32nd in the league during the 4th quarter over the last 8 games from our defensive head coach. Instead of blaming the side of the ball who got the lead with 1:45 left on the clock let’s call a spade a spade here. If the offense needs to be so much better then the defense is in the dumpster. -

"scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate" is what I said that you conveniently ignored. He's scored more touchdowns than anyone. You'd have a point if that wasn't the case. The pick was costly, then we marched down the field and took the lead again. Know what was more costly? The defense failing to get two stops in a row to end the game. -
8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
Bruffalo replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can if you're throwing 40+ times a game, and scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate and are a top rusher for your team. The average NFL game ends around 20-17. The average number of points scored by both teams is 46. If you're scoring 30 points you should win the game. This was a failure on the defense and the head coach primarily. It's a false equivalence to say the offense has equal blame. -
If they do go 5-0, it's because Allen is getting red hot with Brady at OC and they're blowing the doors off of teams. McDermott has shown without a doubt that he can't close out a game with his defense, you can argue whether or not it's personnel, scheme, or decision making but the numbers are out there. He's probably the worst 4th quarter defensive playcaller in the league right now.

Some impressive defensive stats to chew on today

I try my best not to. Unfortunately a big part of my job is putting out (metaphorical) fires all day. -

My output goes down significantly in the last 25% of my workday too, so I can empathize. I don't have millions of folks watching me live though. -
The perfect game against NE was the peak, but the credit really goes to Daboll.

Which WR prospect will the Bengals screw us out of?
Bruffalo replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d be fine with either, but I think Coleman has a skillset that will directly complement Allen, he has real WR1 upside. -
Beane wasn't even here for that draft.

It's possible but I can't see the Bills investing that much into WR while McDermott is still the head coach. Not enough left for McD's defense to get walked all over whenever it matters. -

Tee Higgins is going to be offered silly money, even after being banged up all season. -

Give me Keon Coleman, he's the guy who I realistically would want given the draft position. All of them are excellent choices though.- 229 replies

Ideally both but that seems unlikely. I have no idea what AJE's market is going to look like. He's a good player but he's probably at the high end of those 3rd tier DEs. Floyd will probably command a biggish contract on a short deal.

Way to put words in my mouth and come out of the gate aggressive. Great conversation starter, bro. You think that if we have an offensive head coach we still go Boogie Basham over Creed Humphrey? I kind of doubt it. Beane is a decent GM, who has focused on signing/drafting defensive players because that's what the head coach wants and believes will make the team successful. It's not a crazy concept.

Beane would stay. I'm fairly convinced a lot of the early round misses is Beane reaching for the needs that McDermott is perceiving on the team.
