  1. On the whole, I think Beane is fine. McD obviously has a say on drafting, which is why we keep getting suckered into ignoring WRs and instead go for a plodding, time eating offense, drafting TEs and RBs. Here's the kicker: We are seemingly cosmically unlucky. Von Miller got a matching offer from LA, starts balling out and gets hurt, derailing almost everything. Curtis Samuel: No one in the NFL could have predicted he'd be that terrible. Diggs gets all pissy and demands out. None of that is really on Beane, and I know it's easy to blame him in hindsight.
  2. Silver lining? McD is out of coordinators to throw under the bus. He's already blamed the ST coach, the D coordinator, and fired the OC midseason (this one was probably warranted) because of his signature losses. There's nobody left to shift blame to and I think that's why everyone is even more heated than they might have been last year. We should have stuck with Daboll and fired McD after the 13 seconds meltdown.
  3. I actually think Coleman ran a very good route there, he just isn't the first or probably second read in that progression. If he is, it should be an easy pass and catch. Honestly I think if the choice is throwing 6 targets to Hollins or throwing up 50/50 balls to Coleman, I'm taking Coleman 100% of the time.
  4. Coleman's not really that open. The corner is coming down on him as soon as he stops the route and there's really not a lane to cleanly throw that ball to Kincaid. He's being backpedaled, I wouldn't have a lot of confidence that he's getting it over the D-Line. Don't get me wrong though, it's 100% the wrong decision to throw to Hollins ever.
  5. It feels like Allen is hesitating because he can’t trust the guys out there, and he isn’t wrong, they are almost all WR6 on other teams. Coleman and Shakir are the only exceptions, and Coleman is too new to be relied on and Shakir is a high end slot WR.
  6. At least all my fantasy teams won today. I just can't even enjoy football today after that loss. Yet here I am, hate watching.
  7. It's personnel as much as it is scheme. Find me a OC who would be successful with Mack Hollins and this version of Curtis Samuel. I don't think you can. Nobody can get open. Coleman is learning but it's a process. Without Shakir, there's nobody out there that's remotely threatening. Hell, leave them open and they just drop it or can't track the ball. The running is supposed to set the pass via play action, but no team cares because they can easily cover 1v1.
  8. The problem is that now next week is a must win. I would have been happy with 4-2 at this point of the season before opening kickoff, so I don't think we have to completely panic yet, but Beane has to go get Allen help here. It's dire. Without Shakir/Coleman it gets really bad really fast. Arguably the worst WR core in the NFL by a good margin.
  9. After how many drops though? You can't trust him even when he's open. It's a joke.
  10. Another McDermott signature loss. Situational football is just a joke, again, for the millionth time. The defense made some huge plays, so respect where it's due. The offense stank, but I will argue it's not the scheme, it's the personnel. Mack Hollins should never see the field as an offensive player again, he was atrocious. Curtis Samuel either isn't putting in any effort or he's massively hindered from turf toe or something. MVS is trash. Cook is good. Coleman is fine for a rookie. I expect him to improve. Beane, go get Adams right now. Get Amari Cooper. Get DK Metcalf. Get two of them if you can. Screw the picks. It's absurd this is the product you're trotting out there with Josh Allen as your QB.
  11. It's the lack of WR talent and to me it's pretty obvious that's the major problem. They can throw pressure at Allen all day long because they know our guys can't get open 1v1, and when they do they will just drop it (Hollins is a freakin' joke and it's criminal he's on a starting offense). Part of it was Beane/Brady banking on Curtis Samuel doing anything, and I'd argue it's surprising how bad he is, so surprising that it almost doesn't make sense. I think the fix is really obvious. Go get Adams, Cooper, Metcalf, somebody who can win 1v1s without trouble. Hell, get two of them. Make teams play Allen rushing 4 again. And just a note about Coleman, I think he's been fine, but there's way way too much pressure on him to produce.
  12. Defensive head coach but we can’t stop a 3rd and 10+ to save our lives. I’m just tired now.
  13. Cam Lewis on Diggs. Genius coaching.
  14. This is what years of not investing in the WR room looks like. And when they do they go for ceiling. Maybe we can get another DE next draft. I’m becoming extremely cynical about this team, again.
  15. The fact that wasn’t challenged is fireable. Youre down 11. The half is almost over, what are you saving those TOs for?
  16. 8 million dollars for negative yardage. I can’t believe how bad Samuel has been for this team.
  17. Beane should be trying his best to trade for Adams AND Cooper. Mac Hollins should be left in Houston.
  18. This is a joke. This might be the worst WR core of all time without Shakir. Cam Lewis is trash. He’s not a NFL caliber player and the fact that McD refuses to see that is unbelievable.
  19. Amari Cooper please. Everyone can still eat, I just want Mac Hollins to have smaller portions.
  20. Hadn't heard that. Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can pressure without Von effectively on those 3rd and longs.
  21. Yeah, I'd wait until after Sunday to post something like this. We haven't played a team that is a downfield passing threat like Houston is, you could argue Miami but the pressure was getting to Tua so fast I don't think you can really count them. I've got a feeling they're going to get carved up by Collins, Dell (if healthy), and Diggs. We should want to be better at the position, because right now this group doesn't scare anybody.
  22. A dude famous for being unlikable to 90% of the country is still unlikable. Shocking. If nobody told you it was Brady, you'd have no idea it was him. That's how unrecognizable he is.
  23. Every time I've seen LA this season they've been in man coverage and Tre gets toasted. Here's the thing though: Tre was never spectacular at man coverage, he always really shined in Zone. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a combination of age, injury, and generally just not a scheme fit for Tre.
  24. Allen: "Can I get Devante Adams? Please?" Beane: "We got Adams at home" pointing to MVS and Mac Hollins.
  25. I'd take Hyde off the couch over Hamlin any day of the week. I'd take Cole Bishop over Hamlin right now too, even with the prospect of rookie mistakes. I think it would be good for Bishop to get some tutelage from Hyde regardless, nobody in that room right now is a mentor.
