  1. I don’t think this deal will impact Josh’s deal at all. He was always going to get 40+ million on his deal. The cap will start going back up, the Bills will be able to build a team around him.
  2. I can be convinced of the first 2, would definitely want Watt over Clowney though
  3. You guys do understand that the teams involved and Watt all have a better understanding of the situation than fans on a discussion board do, don’t you? I worry that some of you think that Watt and his guys aren’t talking to teams, or that Buffalo isn’t having meetings and discussions about guys other than Watt. In the grand scheme of things Watt taking a little bit longer than some people would like is not really that big of a deal. He’s not holding the team hostage, they are making plans with or without him. I can guarantee you no one is getting their feelings hurt because he is taking his time
  4. Jeremy Maclin went over 100 pages I believe
  5. He mentioned oxygen - we breathe oxygen in Buffalo. Although he said Friday MORNING fun, so that's obviously a knock against Buffalo...
  6. Facts really hurt several posters arguments on here though...
  7. Dude get out of here with that whole “no respect for today’s players vs players of before” absolute crap. To think that those guys wanted it more back then is garbage. They didn’t go after huge dollars because they weren’t allowed to. Free agency wasn’t a thing until the 90’s. Like it’s some sort of issue that these guys want to get paid...let me guess, you think Josh will take a major hometown discount because “he just seems like that kind of guy” and he’s all about the team, because when these guys get paid a fair salary they obviously are all about themselves
  8. Philips went to a team that up until the last couple of games in the season was still in the playoff hunt-it’s not like he took a bunch of money from the jets or jags. He also got hurt during the season. Most people on here have been loving everything that Milano had done for the last 4 years but now want to treat him like he’s nothing because he wants to get paid. It’s weak
  9. Just wondering, have you made that second comment about every other free agent from a good team? I hate when fans make this comment, it just REEKS of bitterness because these guys make a lot of money
  10. Seriously, go up literally 1 post from yours-he’s not washed up. Definitely had some injuries, not washed up. Also analytically the guy just had an outstanding season
  11. You avoided his question-it’s a fair question in rebuttal to your argument
  12. I think he’s still traumatized by something that happened when he was a kid...I mean, just imagine what would’ve happened if he would’ve been the starting pitcher instead of the coach’s son!
  13. Do you have a link? I’ve been looking all over and I haven’t seen anything about the type of money he wants
  14. You’re thinking about this as a fan, not a team or player. They all know how this game works-players or teams never shoot down these types of rumors because it does them no benefit. Every team in the league already knows he is only looking at a handful of teams. By not shooting down the Cleveland rumor, that could potentially keep teams like Seattle in the mix, or at least give that illusion. Teams don’t get butt hurt because a player doesn’t deny rumors. My guess is you are hoping he shoots down the rumor because then it still keeps the Bills in the running to get him. I want to see him sign in Buffalo as well but from a business standpoint it doesn’t make sense for him to publicly eliminate a potential team. Honestly think about it, do free agents ever deny rumors about where they may potentially sign?
  15. Why WOULD he dispute those rumors? The more he says, the more he drives down his price. Plus, why does he need to come out publicly and say anything?
  16. Of all fan bases you would think Bills fans would try not to be lazy and just listen to the narrative put out there about players.
  17. Do you think he will sign for less if the team throws in free duffs??
  18. So I’m following what you’re saying, but I do believe we are looking at this COMPLETELY differently. If the Bills have this amazing locker room chemistry that you don’t want to break up, there’s no way Watt would be able to disrupt that. There’s too much leadership on this team for that to happen. From Beane to McDermott, then the players-Allen, Hyde, Diggs, Hughes, Poyer, etc. perhaps you have read/heard/seen things about Watt I haven’t...I have always heard he plays hard for his team, works hard, ex-teammates always talk about how great a teammate he is. Does he have an ego? Sure-but so does every other player in the NFL. He is ring chasing at this point, I don’t think he has plans of coming in and being a disruption. Again I can see where a fan could possibly be worried about taking on a person who has Watt’s influence, but IMO he is definitely worth the risk
  19. So you’re pinning that current situation on Watt?? Yikes, that’s a big time reach
  20. What has he shown in his career that has destroyed locker rooms?
  21. He won’t be cheaper
  22. So you want the Bills to sign a guy for more money than what Watt will get paid and is coming off of an ACL tear and that’s somehow a win for Buffalo?
  23. If some of the people on here who always complain about the Bills cap ran the team, each pro bowl level player would only be allowed to play here if they took a hometown discount and the rest of the roster would be filled with guys who sign for the vet minimum
  24. Is it really a joke on social media if someone doesn’t get unnecessarily offended??
  25. Wait he got released AND bought a house in Cleveland int he same day?? Man, that dude was busy yesterday! Or did he already own a house in Cleveland because what superstar athlete wouldn’t want to own a house in Cleveland??
