  1. I feel like the league and teams are setting themselves up for some big problems. So perhaps the players move to the city they play in full time so they can train (definitely not feasible though, especially for a city like Buffalo) or these guys are going to show up to camp out of shape
  2. Looks official-I mean he DID use the notes section on his phone...you would think though that all of his 21 followers would want to see the schedule on something a little nicer
  3. There is no issue with the salary cap next year for the Bills, people need to stop saying that. Case in point: KC is on this list-do you really think that with all of the contracts KC had on their roster they are in better shape than Buffalo? There are so many ways to manipulate the cap, it’s really not an issue. You mentioned that Buffalo is at a disadvantage yet they have a huge advantage over everyone on that list except for maybe KC-the Bills have Josh Allen. First, once he signs his extension his cap hit will go down significantly and second, guys are going to want to come to Buffalo to be on his team. There really is almost literally no issue in regards to the cap foe the Bills whatsoever
  4. I'm with you on this. I keep reading that Feliciano is our nastiest lineman and we need that nastiness. While that could be true (but VERY debatable) there's also a reason why he was cheap. I would rather have him as a backup and a spot starter - he's not good enough to be a full time starter. There were several times last year where he was completely knocked on his butt and the play was blown up because of that. Don't get me wrong, I think he should be on the team, but I don't like him as a starter. Nasty and mean and tough (and whatever other superlatives people are throwing at him) are fine, but I would rather have someone in there who is good
  5. Sorry I’m still confused, you’re explaining yourself pretty poorly when it comes to taking in that dead money. They intentionally took that dead money hit so they would have more money for future years. If they would have pushed that money further down the road as you suggest, they would’ve had even less money to spend. The other points you made in hindsight don’t look good, although some of those situations like Spain didn’t seem questionable when they gave him the contract
  6. There’s already a 2017 draft grade thread started
  7. You mean to tell me the Bills didn’t listen to you?? Why didn’t you tell them sooner that Williams was better than the guy they drafted?!?!
  8. I would be more on board with a CB if they feel the value is there....and I should say I'm not 100% for Etienne, but I do think Buffalo is in a great position of not needing to reach for a guy
  9. But again, you are suggesting taking a football player who is not as good as the player they are taking. It gets talked about all the time - in the first round take the best player available. Speed isn't the only thing - if it was Brieda wouldn't be on his third team in 3 years and that prospect you mentioned wouldn't be a 7th round talent. There are several edge rushers taken before the Bills pick in this mock, so you are taking the 5th or 6th best edge rusher in the first round. That is a terrible use of assets. I agree that the Bills need an edge rusher, but not an edge rusher at all costs in the first round just to take an edge rusher
  10. Look at this picks above the Bills pick - so you would rather take a clearly second tier (at best) edge rusher over a player who is clearly a much better player?
  11. Great, so now the Bills will have used 6 first round picks on him? Did we ever actually figure out how many first round picks were used on him in the first place??
  12. Sorry I’m not picking on you specifically, but my question is why? Isn’t this supposed to be entertainment? Aren’t these guys supposed to be having fun? It’s one of the few times the NFL lets these guys show some personality-I just think the whole “act like you’ve been there before” trope is so boring and played out. If they want to hand the ball to the ref, cool...but if they want to celebrate, let them celebrate
  13. Obviously it depends on what’s being offered. They can’t go back too far and still be able to give Tua reliable weapons to be successful this year. They will probably be the most intriguing team to watch on that first night of the draft
  14. Wait, you’re seriously saying he wouldn’t get on the field over Sam Rogers or John Holacek?? Yikes! Putting that aside doe just a second, you can’t compare older linebackers to now. Most linebackers from the 80’s and 90’s wouldn’t be able to play in today’s game-they weren’t fast enough or athletic enough. I understand that you’re voicing your displeasure about Edmunds and I love a good hyperbole too, just seems a bit too far out there
  15. I hate that he’s such a me first player. The guy has selfish written all over him. I just wish he would just be happy with any money and sign for LESS than the league minimum *to those who can’t notice the obvious sarcasm, this was written with a large dose of it
  16. I’m going to suggest that you change the trade compensation for Ertz before some of the other members here read your post. No way the Bills would give up a second for Ertz, ESPECIALLY if the Eagles get Pitts (not gonna happen) and have no need for Ertz any more
  17. Sounds like a great deal for the Falcons! They get this magical third round pick that people around here love to mention so much! And all they have to do is drop 26 spots in the draft to get it!!!
  18. On the flip side of that, is picking up an extra third really worth dropping 15 spots (just as an example)?
  19. Dallas would be foolish to make that deal-they get no future picks to trade back 20 spots and, as you said, are getting a linebacker that they are going to have to pay a lot of money to soon
  20. There’s really no downside for the 49ers here...they most likely keep Jimmy G with that salary for 1 more year-he starts the year then eventually gets benched for the rookie then they release him after the season, or they somehow finagle him into a first or second round pick
  21. Let’s not forget that the deal would actually be Allen at 40+ per year + a happy Diggs + a happy locker room + a happy fan base - the rookie growing pains - having to play against Josh this season
  22. I’m guessing you weren’t watching football back when they switched from 14 to 16 games, but have you been putting up this fight when someone sets a current record? This one extra game is not going to help set a ton more single season records...yes obviously it helps, but not even close to the rate you are thinking
  23. That’s fair-And now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure I have ever really called the stadium by it’s name. It’s always “I’m going to the Bills game”
  24. So to flip it around, why will you only call it Rich Stadium or Ralph Wilson Stadium if the name doesn’t matter to you?
  25. For a QB no, but I think teams have given up too much to get guys other than QB. The Saints trading up to draft Davenport comes to mind. I think you do what you can to get the QB who you think gets you where you want to be, but teams need to be more prudent when they are trading for non-QB prospects
