Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Ya Digg? replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I’m sure this was talked about several times during the game thread, but what kind of defensive call somehow gets your slowest defender trying to guard one of their deep threat receivers?? -
So the league leader in receptions and yards isn’t even on the 2nd team? Seems rather ridiculous to me

New York Jets officially eliminated from AFC East race

I'm just hoping they win a couple of games, especially towards the end, to convince management to keep Gase for another year -
I think this take is pretty spot on-Murray was pouting a little bit so of course they are going to play their best game this week. Meanwhile, did you guys see Josh, Tre, Dawkins, all those guys laughing and smiling in the locker room after the game?? Probably means they are only going to bring their C+ game this week. THEY’RE DOOMED!!!!

So I’m watching tv today and some of the analysts are already saying the Bills will have a real tough game because of Kyler Murray...now this is not to say he doesn’t have talent, he obviously does, and admittedly I’m going off of stats, but have you guys looked at some of the games he has had in his career so far? He had a game where he barely threw for 100 yards, a couple of games this season where his numbers have been terrible, in reading up a little bit about him I am reading that he has trouble getting past his first read-sounds awfully familiar doesn’t it? Why does he get such a huge benefit of the doubt while Josh gets crushed since the day he was drafted?

Diggs' trade is aging like a fine wine

It’s still early, give people time-people have a lot of directions to go this week with it too. First, why didn’t Beane plan to have both of his starting guards go down in the same game?? And speaking of those guards, not only did Ford get injured, he didn’t make one single catch today! Meanwhile Metcalf has over 100 yards and a garbage time touchdown! -
I thought both roughing the passer penalties were definitely bogus-I’m not sure what else Oliver or Hughes could do! I actually thought both Oliver and Edmunds had good games today. Oliver won’t show up in the stats but he seemed to be all over that pocket all game long. Edmunds was finally making plays in the backfield...it was nice to see what he can do again when the defensive line does what they are supposed to do

Your Buffalo Bills Linebackers

Just wondering-did you think he had missed on the Tremaine pick during/after last season? When the guy made the pro bowl? -
If it was week 5 I could roll with that, but not week 9-that’s a lot of losses to teams other than the Seahawks
-
How has it taken this long for this stat to come out this week? Not to say the Seahawks aren’t good or anything like that, but they certainly haven’t been playing any top teams

I think we have to remember that we still only see highlights of Seattle games unless they are on SNF or MNF. There is also a tendency around here to only focus on the negatives that the Bills have. Seattle gives up a lot of points and a lot of yards. This is not to say that they don’t have a great offense or that the Bills shouldn’t be concerned, but I do think we have an offense that can hang with them and I do think this game will be closer than people think -
Yes, don’t score less than the other team, and preferably not the same amount either
-
I might just be splitting hairs here but I don’t think this is true. As soon as I read this statement I immediately thought of Vick and Randall Cunningham. Both are incredibly athletic and both had MUCH better arms than Lamar has. It could just be a matter of preference, but I wouldn’t say Lamar is the most athletic ever. He IS incredibly athletic though, there’s no denying that
-
At this point they have to be at the very least discussing him-they made decide he’s not a fit, it they know what state their defense is in and they have to look for improvements

NFL Trade Deadline Primer update on page 15
Ya Digg? replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think people need to stop thinking this way. Yes Brady took less money to help out the team, but he also could because he has a wife who makes 2-3 times what he does per year. The players union did not like that Brady would always take less money, and they shouldn't. As fans yes we want to see all of these guys take less money so there is more money to spread around, but these guys shouldn't be looking to take less money. It's the GM's job to make these contracts work, not the players. Brady is the one outlier in this whole scenario - Manning (both of them), Brees, Rodgers, Mahomes, Watson, Wilson, Big Ben.....they all got as much as they could and honestly Josh shouldn't be any different. The players don't even like it when their teammates take less money, they want their guys to get paid. If the QB takes less money, then management could go to everyone else and say "well Josh took less money to stay here, so should you." So while it's a nice thought, it's not going to happen nor should it. -
Is anyone else already dreading when Seattle decides to line up Metcalf in the slot so Taron Johnson has to cover him??
-
Does he get a chance to develop or no? Especially considering he lost his running back, had a terrible line, and has below average receivers at best. Not saying he’s great, but why do we go to bust status so quick on guys? Peyton Manning wasn’t amazing a year and a half I to his career so was he a bust too?
-
Doesn’t fit the narrative if you give the guy credit when he does well ex: yeah he made all his kicks, but none of them were from 40+ yards
-
Which Defensive player has disappointed you most?
Ya Digg? replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Taron Johnson for me. I'm not sure there's been an incomplete pass when it has been thrown in his direction. I have absolutely no confidence in his ability to cover any receiver -
Beane's construction of this roster
Ya Digg? replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right, the Rams are just terrible, the Dolphins having a winning record is a complete fluke, and it's not like the Raiders beat the Chiefs this year....good take on the only have beaten terrible teams -

Again, I need to ask-how do people come to this conclusion?!?! Before the season started, Beane was a genius, was a master with the cap, makes good personnel moves...now, at worst the Bills will be 5-3 (likely 6-2), will be in first place in the division, and people want him fired? Not that he can’t be criticized, but you want to get rid of him? Yikes, just yikes -

Oh there can certainly be criticism, just don’t know how we went from “Beane is a salary cap genius” to “Beane needs to be fired” so quickly by so many people -

It was fine to talk about Beane and McDermott positively around here until they started this year 5-2...now it’s apparently time to fire them 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ -
So is it just Allen who is 0-2 in big games, or the whole team? I agree he didn’t have a great game against KC, but in the other 6 games this year he has played “alright” or better. Remember it wasn’t Allen who let KC run for 240+ or allowed the Titans to break containment seemingly at will. Yes he needs to play well tomorrow but more importantly the defense had to play well tomorrow. I’m much more concerned about them than I am about how well Josh will play
