Bottom line is if the Bengals win today the Bills are on the outside looking in.  Gotta beat the Pats and win out for the 3rd seed.  Lose to the Pats and win out you get the 7th seed with some help.

Have to hope the Bengals lose as much as possible.

    After today Bengals still

have the Chiefs, Ravens, and Browns left on their schedule. Not worried about them at all, especially since they have lost 4 of their last 6

Diggs, Davis and Knox are keepers.

Sanders will be gone at end of season.  Beasley may be a cap casualty.   The Bills will need to find a veteran slot receiver and a rookie speed burner.   Of course,  more than anything else, they need a franchise RB to help Allen.  I really wish they had taken Najee Harris

I think the idea of a franchise RB is overblown-I don’t think they need a franchise guy but they certainly need to look at upgrades. Doesn’t really matter though if the line isn’t improved

Most of you are probably aware of this but in college football pass interference is a 15 yard penalty. I like that it's a 15 yards penalty. I do not trust the referees ability to judge PI in real life and do not want the risk of a penalty being called that is undetermined in length. If you object I imagine it's most likely out of the fear defenders will start tackling open WR's downfield. I used to think that way, never happens. I can count on one hand how many times I have seen a clearly defeated college player decide that committing a penalty is better than not committing one. No player can react that logically with something so instinctual, in real time, and those speeds. It NEVER happens.

15 Yards, good idea, bad idea?

So one thing that has to be taken I to consideration with the college rule is that a lot of these corner backs in college can’t react quickly enough to tackle some of these receivers as they run right by them, which is why you don’t see many wide receivers get tackled for a DPI. That won’t happen in the pros. It seems that I’m in the minority, but I’m fine with it being a spot foul

If they call a penalty it's not a loss of downs and they get another shot at the game winning score

But you are saying that because the Bills didn’t get the DPI called for them that someone should have smashed a Tampa bay players helmet into the ground…you can be aggressive without being stupid-getting a personal foul would’ve been stupid, not aggressive

  5. Wait I’m confused-you want the Bills players to get a penalty called on them because they didn’t get a DPI called? Move back the potentially game tying field goal and make it a harder kick? I’m not even trying to be a jerk about this, I literally don’t understand what you’re trying to say

This team has more than one bad loss. You can sit with your friends around the campfire and sing kumbiya all ya want. If you don’t see more than minor issues with this team then you haven’t been paying attention.

Oh I realize these aren’t minor issues but it seems like some people on here (yourself included) look at this team as a team incapable of winning and are surprised they have 7 wins. The reality is it’s probably somewhere between where I think they are and where you think they are

What are some indicators or stats that you consider to be important "small wins" in today's game against the Bucs?

Here are some "small wins" I hope to see today.

    1. One running back on the team gets 50+rushing yards and scores a touchdown.

    2. The Bills hold the Bucs running game to 150 yards or less today.

    3. Bills score a touchdown each half and score at least 17 points.

    4. Bills front 7 gets 2 sacks on Brady.

    5. Gronkowski does not score 2 touchdowns.

    6. Daboll and McDermott limit frustrating decisions to two or less.

What "small wins" do you hope to see?

Have we really reached the point where a 7-5 team that is still by all

measures one of the better teams in the league has so little chance of winning a game against Tom Brady that people are just hoping for small victories??

They do share the revenue, and it wouldn’t be that hard to keep people quiet especially if you’re paying those people very well.

If you honestly think the league could rig games and keep everyone who knows this is happening quiet just so they can get New England and Tampa to play against each other in a game that will already be seen by hundreds of millions of people, you have earned a very special tin foil hat

  9. In terms of changing the rules to make the game more offensive, the league is never been shy in admitting that they want to see more points scored.

If you think the league is trying to manipulate games so that it’s the Pats vs the Bucs in the Super Bowl, not even close. You would need 30 other organizations to sign off on the fact that they are fine with not going to the super bowl (and the revenue that comes directly to those teams because of going) and also making sure that everyone who knows about said manipulation will never tell anyone

  10. So I definitely could’ve missed it somewhere (didn’t see this thread until it was already 6 pages deep) but had the OP suggested who the replacement should be? Do you have a solution to the problem or are you just whining? If you’re gonna come with that much emotion, you better also have a succession plan and can you guarantee they will be better?

Actually it wasn't, 5th year option sure but there was absolutely no reason for Beane to rush pay a guy who had one good season and was somewhat of an historical anomoly making the type of leap he did in year 3. A good GM would have made him prove it again like Mahomes did.

But again, not Allen's fault that we have a GM whose's made a series of very bad moves here that wanted to justify his only true good draft pick. But this is actually good news for folks like myself that see through Beane and McDermott because guess who will be the first to go between them and Allen...

Uhhhhh didn’t Mahomes also get his big deal after his third season as well??

    That would help for sure.

Fournette has been very good for Tampa not only today. He was very good in the playoffs and super bowl.

So then where was this thread when he ran for 8 yards or another game when he ran for 30 yards?

As others have said he looks decent (not very good) because of the line and he’s definitely not the focus of the other team’s defense. He was thought of so poorly that Jacksonville just cut him

Do you really think we'll beat the Pats twice. I was thinking a split. Now I think if either wins both it won't be us. QB I give it a draw maybe slight edge to Josh.  Coaching definitely Pats. I say split at best.

You think QB is even?? Come on, you can be nervous about the game, but you’re saying that a rookie QB is pretty much as good as Josh-so if the Bills had Jones you wouldn’t be that disappointed

I think forgetting about No. 1 and focusing 100% on division title is the way to go.

I'm cheering for Titans today, but if key players on both sides go down, no complaints.

Why should we as fans forget about the 1 seed? Why are so many convinced that the players only focus is the 1 seed? The players and coaches constantly preach playing 1 game at a time and going 1-0 every week. Of course you need to win the division first, but that’s something the Bills can control, which is why a Pats win today is the better outcome. Brings the Titans back to everyone else, and if the Bills take care of the Pats then that puts both the division and the 1 seed in play
