11/21/21 Gameday Colts@Bills Pregame Thread
Ya Digg? replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even if/when it does rain, I want the back to back possessions. With the Bills defense, they could force a quick 3 and out to start the game and then potentially get the ball at the end of the first and start the second. That’s too good of a deal for me in a trade off for a dry ball -
It’s crazy isn’t it?? Lose to Jacksonville and all of a sudden people are saying they would be surprised if the Bills even beat the Jets and I have also been reading people say all week that several Bills will need to play the games of their lives to barely beat the Colts-it’s madness, madness I tell you!!!

Bills' Tyler Bass ranks as NFL's best kicker heading into Week 11
Ya Digg? replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right?!?! Just think about all of the all pro, diamond in the rough linemen the Bills passed on to pick this guy! -
Poor roster decisions still an issue with this regime
Ya Digg? replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
So the only one I will take issue with is #5. While he is a little bit slower to get his punt off, the block during the Steelers game happened because the Bills just forgot to block on that one. He doesn't hit booming punts, but I don't think the Bills want him to. To me, his most important job is on holds and he obviously is very good at that -
11/14/21 Postgame Thread: Bills at Jets

Fine genius, explain to me how the ball went forward then-he wasn’t hit from behind, so the only way that ball went forward is if his arm went forward. Simple physics -

That was 100% an incomplete pass-no way that ball travels forward from where he was hit of his arm wasn’t going forward. As much as I wanted that to be a fumble, that was definitely the correct call -
I think their offense plays perfectly into what the Bills defense does well. Everything short, keep it in front of you-I don’t see their offense being very successful. They communicate so well that it also makes it easy to disguise different looks and coverages

I think it's more of what the offensive line allows the team to do as opposed to what kind of offense the Bills run. They have enough fire power that it doesn't matter if you know what's coming, if the line can hold up consistently you won't be able to stop them, just like teams really can't against Tampa, the Rams, etc. If the line can't hold up (which it hasn't been able to lately) then it makes it really hard to do all of the things the team wants to do in order to be successful. Last year by mid to late season teams knew what the Bills were going to do but they were powerless to stop it. Teams don't have enough on the back end to keep up with everything the Bills can do, but if the team can get to the QB, against the Bills line there is trouble. Certainly things need to be tweaked, but I think if they can figure out the offensive line a lot of the problems go away (and yes, I know that's easier said than done)

What prompted the change to our offense, and other questions?
Ya Digg? replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It seems that a lot of people this week keep talking about using check downs at the expense of Josh going through his professions and reads. It’s obvious the Bills don’t use a check down offense-his check down is his last resort. This is not to say some of those check down plays weren’t there against the Jags, but I have seen people posting that Josh should’ve been throwing to his check down in about 2 seconds. Yes Josh and Daboll could utilize that more, but reading the comments from some people this week it’s almost as if people are longing for the Trent Edwards days again -
It's the line, it's RB....but really, it's the offseason hype
Ya Digg? replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Duuuuuuuuude overreact much? They blew out Miami, they blew out Houston, they beat KC, they dominated the second half against Miami-they aren’t sneaking up on teams like they did last year and they haven’t adjusted as much as we would like. yea they played terrible today but this team has not “bought into the hype.” The line was questionable coming into the season so being down 2 starters was certainly going to hurt them. Relax, sleep this one off, they’ll be fine -
So you are saying that you expect the Jets to win next week?? I understand the whole doom and gloom pouty thing that happens after a loss, but I think you need to back off the ledge just a little bit
-
Literally every guy on the line played terrible. Not saying that Ford wasn’t bad, but make sure you call out the entire line, not just Ford for this game. Dawkins was consistently beaten or on his back, Williams decided not to block anyone on that last sack-they we’re all atrocious
-
So do you really think that if the starting offensive line was playing today they still would’ve only scored 6 points? Are you just going to completely ignore that the defense only gave up 9 points? the offensive line was terrible and the penalties were inexcusable. That being said you are fooling yourself if you think the Bills can’t beat everyone left on Their schedule. The Rams almost lost to the Lions, cowboys were exposed today-these games are going to happen

McDermott is not having a good game-that’s the second bad call he had made so far -

Just wondering, can you name a “boneheaded” sack he has taken this year? -
I noticed on several occasions yesterday he was getting double teamed and was still causing problems

Subtraction by Addition - Emmanuel Sanders
Ya Digg? replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
So you came in here with a complaint (after a win where he was barely even targeted) and offered no solution-great thread -
It’s obviously really easy for us to be able to say “they need to ignore it” and I would say for the most part athletes do a really good job of that. Yes they gets tons of praise, lots of money, all that stuff, but I’m also sure we all have no idea how much hate they receive on a daily basis. Death threats, threats to their family, people telling them how much they hate them, how terrible they are…after a while it has to add up. sounds like Matthieu just happened to reach his breaking point
-
So let me make sure I'm getting this right - the guy wants to be traded away from a Super Bowl contending team?!?! Sounds like a great guy to have on your team

Current NFC Landscape brings back memories of 80's/90's dominance
Ya Digg? replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
So honest question, if the Bills had won last week and were 5-1, would you still be feeling this way? All of those teams have some close wins over teams they should've beat easily and they all have some easy wins. I'm finding very hard when I look at those teams to find one of them that have both an offense and a defense that can keep up with the Bills offense and defense. Not saying these teams can't beat the Bills, but I don't look at any of them and think the Bills can't beat them -
Taylor Heinicke TD Ruled No TD! Why?
Ya Digg? replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
So then not to bring up old stuff (but to completely bring up old stuff) didn’t heinicke do the same thing when he scored against the Bills? I get they are trying to protect the QB, but shouldn’t the action happening around the QB come into effect? The closest defender wasn’t that close edit: to be clear, I actually think in both instances they are touchdowns, just pointing out he made the same play against the Bills. -
Privacy for Josh Allen and Bills' players

I would hope that as grown adults we can all read a room, but as a dad I may also try to find an opportunity for my son or daughter to get a picture with them at an appropriate time. I think going up to the table while they are eating is odd, but perhaps as they are leaving I might try to stop them to get a quick picture with my kids. -
