Perhaps it’s my Bills bias, but I don’t get the Vrabel obsession. Slightly above .500 regular season record, losing record in the playoffs….is he really the guy that’s going to turn some team into a major contender?

You need to look at Kirk’s stats when it comes to playoff games. The guy had played lights out in the playoffs, it’s his defense that lets him down (sound familiar?) Kirk stats are incredible in the playoffs, he has played excellent playoff football

When did he have that value? And if he did, why would they have traded him?

I do think this is one of those cases where context is incredibly important. Lions only had 14 midway through the 3rd quarter, then it seemed as though every single starter got injured. I think understanding that is incredibly important

So flip it around-do you see the Lions defense stopping the Bills? the reality is they are 1 and 2 in the league in scoring (I believe) so it’s not like anyone has really been able to stop either offense

Yeah I’m pretty sure everyone would agree that having 1 of the top 3-5 defensive players in the league would help, this isn’t exactly ground breaking thinking. All of those guys are still with the teams that drafted them. Everyone knew Garrett would be awesome, that’s why he was the #1 pick. No one thought Watt or Jones would become the players they are, otherwise they would’ve been drafted 1 or 2 as well. It’s not as if the Bills haven’t tried to draft that gamechanger for the defense, it just hadn’t happened

I agree he was a danger last year, but has he really had much friendly fire this year? He hit Douglas last week, has he taken out any other Bills this year? I’ve actually been pretty pleased with how much he ISN’T going down the huge hit and had been playing the ball much more

I don’t know, to me that’s a pretty weak reason to call them classless. He is on the opposing team-you boo the guys on the opposing team. Buffalo has done it to former players, does that make us classless?

If we are basing this off of today’s game, there isn’t a single player on defense who isn’t rusty or washed

It just seems very odd that you’re asking for even more out of Josh Allen Han how he played today. Sure he missed a couple of throws, but so does every QB. He literally had a historical game today and you’re saying it wasn’t good enough. It completely sure what you watched today-what happened in the game is not on Josh at all

To be fair Johnson was terrible his first couple of years, pretty much up until that pick 6 against Lamar in the playoffs

I’m not completely sure which way you are thinking, but reading this makes the argument of getting the 1 seed even stronger

1 seed-the bye gives you a chance to rest guys to get them healthy for the playoffs. There’s no guarantee that your players won’t get injured-didn’t Bernard get injured in last year’s game against the Steelers? Also, anything can happen in the playoffs-one extra game is one more game the team could lose. So go for the 1 seed

To be fair, there were PLENTY of threads on here during the offseason and preseason talking about how the Bills are wasting one of Allen’s prime years, the team will win 9 or 10 games at best, this team doesn’t have it, etc….the dolts aren’t just reserved for the national media

I think it has actually very little to do with if either one plays well. Whichever team wins, that player will be the front runner again.

I couldn’t care less about “excuses” those tho no an are narratives for about a week then everyone moves on.
