    I agree.
I also don’t think he has as much zip on his ball anymore. (I know, the announcers talked about him bruising hands on one crosser to Kincaide) He has decidedly been arching balls he use to throw on a rope , since the beginning of the season. Maybe it’s on purpose but I’m suspecting maybe not.

        This league takes a toll.

They mentioned during the game how Kincaid dropped a ball because it was thrown so hard and how Gabe Davis gets bruised hands because of Josh’s throws

This utter nonsense. GET FILM. WATCH FILM. UNDERSTAND FILM.

It’s not-watched the game, know what I’m looking for. Watch his effort on the TE touchdown, there was no effort. He was beaten BADLY by Chase on that deep ball, got lucky it was severely under thrown. Was completely turned around by Boyd on the ball at the goal line that Boyd dropped.

Again, this game was the final straw for me, it wasn’t just this game. He’s good enough for a backup role, but shouldn’t be playing as many snaps as he does because he gets exposed. Like I said in my OP, good thing Douglas is here to take his starting spot

I repeat... anyone thinking Dane Jackson was the problem last night wasn't watching.

Never said he was the problem, there’s plenty of threads talking about the offense. If you’re watching him play and don’t think he’s a constant liability then you haven’t been watching at all this season

It's weird how 2 people can have 2 completely different views but that's what makes sports fun imo, I thought Jackson had an excellent game. He's not perfect by any means but I thought he was our best corner. I'm not sure what happend to Taron Johnson but he has been playing terrible lately imo. But I agree I think Douglas is going to be an excellent addition as well and looking forward to see what he can do.

Mine complaint is probably more of a compilation of his play over the course of the season, and maybe I was just looking for that one final thing to put me over the edge. I thought he got lucky on the plays he did break up, and I feel he is the king of always being right there when the receiver is catching it

Johnson has also played quite poorly. Obviously it’s all linked-the def line isn’t generating as much pressure which makes the corners jobs even harder

The TE TD you are speaking of was on Hyde. He thought the TE was staying in to block so he blitzed and the TE leaked out 🤦🏻‍♂️

I said in a later post I know he wasn’t initially guarding the TE, but his effort to try and tackle him was really poor

I get it, Jackson has his fans…I’m just not one of them any more. At least not a fan of him being a starter and getting most of the snaps. He’s fine as a backup, but in my mind he’s been exposed as a starter

What an untimely and stupid thread.  Jackson was actually one of the best players on the field yesterday.

If he was, then the defense played worse than I thought. He was terrible. Again, the one play he made last night he was beaten badly by Chase and did not skillfully break up that play, he got flat out lucky.

  7. While much of the criticism of last night is on the offense (and rightfully so), as I’m watching that game last night I just kept thinking how I’m done watching Jackson play. The one semi-decent okay he made all night he ended up inadvertently injuring Hyde. He got incredibly lucky on 2 throws against him-one that Boyd dropped going into the endzone and the deep ball where he was BADLY burned by Chase and Burrow under threw him.

The last straw for me was the touchdown by the bengals tight end. The tight end leaked out and Jackson was the closest defender (though not very close. Jackson put in little to no effort to actually try to catch him, he just kind of jogged after him. I’m tired of watching him play 10 yards off, watch his guy catch it what seems like 90% of the time, and never make an impactful play.

Thank God for Douglas who will hopefully take his place on the field!!

I know this is a wild prediction but to hell with it, I think Stroud could win rookie of the year

Wait are you joking or do you actually think you’re making a wild prediction? Dude has been awesome pretty much every game this year. He is easily the leading candidate right now

Caleb plays so wreckless. All the talent in the world but him and #19 cost the Trojans a W tonight. Williams needs a good offensive minded HC to get the most out of him or else he’s going to be a mess in the NFL. Can’t live on pure talent and make bone headed decisions like running into the pass rush over and over. Penix really impressed me. I knew he was super accurate in the pocket and throws a beautiful ball but against Oregon he was garbage scrambling out and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn BUT wow did he show up on a couple throws outside the pocket tonight, especially the TD to the TE. Penix will be a top 10 pick in this draft and I also think the headiness and grittiness of Bo Nix gets him taken top 15 too. He’s a plug and play QB right now and honestly think he could be the best pro. I love this draft class and even though Williams will be the #1 pick and has all the potential in the world I love the 3 QBs behind him more (Maye, Penix and Nix)…hope they all go to the NFC. We don’t need any more franchise QBs in the AFC

You watched that game yesterday and think Williams is THE reason they lost? It’s not the defense that allowed a guy to rush for 260 yards at 10 yards a carry? It’s the guy who led his team on 6 TD instead of 8 that cost them the win

  10. I think the Bills need to play a Bengals type game on offense-dunk and dunk all the way down the field. Eat up the clock, make the Bengals have to take chances. Josh has shown he is extremely effective with that short game.
It’s gonna be a tough game, but it won’t be one decided on the first 2 drives of the game. McDermott has shown repeatedly he knows how to adjust as the game goes. Think about that Miami game-after 2 drives everyone thought it was going to be a 50-49 game. Once he figured out how to adjust Miami did nothing the rest of the game. I think the same happens here

Jerry once declared Dallas will never play a home game in london.  He said a bunch of stuff basically he was saying do u know who i am?

they have played over their once I believe vs jax in 2014.   Pretty sure they have never lost a home game to europe.  Not sure ny or philly have either.

I believe every team has to play at least 1 home game in Europe every 8 years or something like that. Jerry is powerful, but the other owners aren’t going to let him not have to give up a home game while everyone else does

  12. I love these threads, especially during the season. First, to think the schedule makers sat around and said “how can we make this really tough on the Bills and only them-let’s get them the worst!”

Second, everyone knew who the Bills were playing against and where they were playing ever since last season ended. Don’t understand why there’s such shock about it.

Third, how come it’s always just complaining and no answers-what would have made this schedule any “easier?”

I think with all due respect the true measuring stick comes on Sunday night.  Let’s see how Beane’s roster stacks up against the team that demolished last year’s version in the playoffs.

Might be nitpicking here, but I don’t think that’s what this thread is about. It would be extremely unfair to judge these acquisitions, good or bad, based on what happens when they have all been with the team less than a week. Still have Philly, KC, and Miami left on the schedule

I think people are underestimating how good the team was last week against the Bucs. If the Bills went for it on those fourth downs (as they usually do), that was easily a 3-score victory.

I think they have found their stride on O.

The defense is going to just have to get by unless we get some help, but I think they can be at least a middle of the pack unit.

💯 this. At no point Thursday were they not in control, and that thread about the Hail Mary is honestly just ridiculous. So much overanalysis of the Bills and under analysis of the other teams. Makes sense, it’s a Bills forum, but still. For example, my guess is most posters don’t know that Mahomes has as many interceptions as Josh does. This year it seems more than ever that all of the top teams have been wildly inconsistent…a couple of them just happened to have pulled out more wins than the Bills have. Gonna be a tough game this week, no doubt, but to say the Bills have no shot is pretty disingenuous

    Trolls?

We should also have easily been able to beat the Jets sans Rodgers, New England with Mac Jones, and the Giants with a plate full of slop there.  We lost two of those games and barely beat the third, and didn't play like we should have.

I'm not sure it's possible to troll in that regard at this point.

The only team with a postive Point-Differential and a record better than 3-4 that we've beaten is Miami, and they played  us comparably and apart from two TOs could just as easily have won that game.

What Miami game did you watch? After their first 2 drives they did absolutely nothing and the Bills basically put up 50 on them

    Is it aging poorly?

Part of the reason we are currently in a playoff spot is because NYJ had their bye week already (we are 1/2 game up).

We also have the worst division record and worst conference record of any team currently slotted in a playoff spot.

We are 1 loss away from potentially dropping to 10th in the conference, with a gauntlet of games coming up.

    Im sweating.

    .

You’re sweating? With 10 weeks to go in the season??
