PFF ranks Josh as 6th best QB in week 13.
CorkScrewHill replied to custcarcen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You people who hate analytics need to get over it. Just because you do not like the output doesn't make the output less accurate. As an example, I personally spend a considerable amount of time on an algorithm that ranks organizations that perform quarterback rankings. PFF scores relatively well at number 11 in my weekly rankings. Their score was reduced a bit by a few bad puns on their latest podcast and Steve Palazzolo's face in general. In my time performing these ratings if there is one thing that we have learned you can't overcome it is the tendency to tell bad puns and a close second is a person's face .. it is what it is and you can't change it. They did drop one spot this week from 10 as Chuck from "Ralph's Pizza Emporium" knocked it out of the park with his deep dive into the impact of Cam Newton's hair style on his rushing ability, scientifically showing that Cam is a little off balance toward the direction the hair spike lays. Numbers do not lie. -

The read was not to Lee Smiths side .. if there. Was nothing open on the other side he would have looked .. but a quarterback looks at his first read and if open he hits it. You don’t want the QB scanning the full field on every play unless needed -
Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Baker did nothing in crunch time, fumbled to give the Browns hope and was playing a statistically worse defense than Josh. I could see Waller but not Baker over Josh -

Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Waller was impressive .. 200 yards receiving and 2 TDs is a monster day. He is on IR .. he calloused his hands clapping for Tom Brady and also took 13 splinters in the rear while sitting in the stands. Just wait though any day 9 teams that were ahead of Arizona will realize the mistake they made. -

Post Game thread Bills @ 49ers

Did the math ..Josh Allen at 69.85% accuracy behind only Wilson, Bridgewater, and Brees ... and is 5th or so in total passing yards. Also love how the Team reacts to him. -
2 things I learned early 1) make the title meaningful if you are starting a thread 2) do a quick scan to ensure someone hasn’t already posted the topic

With the Steelers coming up in 2 weeks and a high seed in the playoffs .. the loss of Dupree reduces their pass rush ability https://steelersnow.com/report-initial-diagnosis-shows-torn-acl-for-steelers-lb-bud-dupree/

The difference of course is in one case Tyreek Hill is quoted as saying it by a reporter who would be at risk of losing his job if he makes it up and in the other some guy on an anonymous board claims to have spoken to Ed. Hmmm. It is a source credibility thing. On the bright side, even if Ed did think that I am certain he doesn't feel that way anymore given the on the sidelines Jerry Hughes emphatic declaration that Josh should be in the MVP conversation (he shouldn't be, but that shows the confidence the team has in him).

Bennet a finalist for HOF
CorkScrewHill replied to SC BIlls Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One should be careful .. the woman in question was arrested shortly thereafter as part of a large cocaine ring. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bennetts-accuser-arrested/.. he also indicated that it was consensual .. he could be a jerk .. he could have been taken in by a player ... it is between him and God since he served his time, but the HOF is about performance on the field. He always struck me as belonging in the hall of the very, very good .. but not quite the HOF. -
Another team angle related to Josh’s play...
CorkScrewHill replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting observation. In the Super Bowl years I always thought our Defense should have been more aggressive but we played a bend but don't break .. hold them to FG style. We won a lot of games, but I suspect we might have done better if we pushed for sacks and turnovers more .. getting it back into the hands of our offense. The 1st Super Bowl was an example where we scored9 points with only 19 minutes of possession time. -
New York Jets officially eliminated from AFC East race
CorkScrewHill replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are not eliminated from wildcard contention .. 7 game winning streak and they have a shot. Gase needs more time .. Jets should sign to a 15 year unbreakable contract as they are still in contention after 9 weeks .. well done Adam! -
Win % vs. Playoff Teams - This Year
CorkScrewHill replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually .. following the OP post .. 6 of the 9 first games were against currently positioned playoff teams. Only 3 of the 7 remaining games are against playoff contenders (Arizona, Pittsburgh, and Miami). That lends itself to a strong finish. -

Matt Hasselback before the game discussing josh Allen post injury to the Raiders .. said he had the same injury and it causes you to miss high .. but also said this is when he should be back to normal from the injury and predicted Josh would be huge today ... his part starts at 2:19 .. very interesting analysis -
