Micah Hyde recruiting pitch
CorkScrewHill replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the pitch is .. fine if you don't want to come to Buffalo .. but you will regret it. -
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/08/micah-hyde-if-you-dont-want-to-be-in-buffalo-dont-come/ “They’re going on visits and I’d be like, ‘Hey man, come to Buffalo.’ They’d be like, ‘I’m cool. I’m gonna go somewhere else,'” Hyde said, via Matt Parrino of NewYorkUpstate.com. “Well you know what? At the end of the day I bet they’re pretty pissed off they didn’t take those visits to Buffalo. Now they’re probably sitting on their trash team or sitting on the couch somewhere else because they didn’t come to Buffalo.” You go Micah!

As compared to which quarterbacks. Tennessee we didn't even know if we would be playing them and the first KC game was in a downpour and the Baltimore game was in severe wind. Specifically which great defenses did he not show up for? Can he regress? Certainly. Should that be our expectation? No. He is too much of a competitor to let this stuff go to his head .. just ask LeSean McCoy

That is a very good point that I hadn't thought of. The NFL is asking for a huge jump in rights fees that will trickle down to the players.

Didn't want to start a new thread .. retired players, but the Pouncey brothers retiring is big. Maurkice retiring from Pittsburgh in particular makes them weaker. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/12/maurkice-mike-pouncey-retire-from-nfl/ -
This is long .. but if you are missing football and want to remember the excellent year we had .. it is a great use of time and .. of course you get to hear Boomer circling the wagons.

I really think this is one of the reasons that the league has a problem with diversity. It is hard to get a job in the NFL no matter your race unless you have a father who is in that position. It is rampant. Steve Belicheck is another example.

The deeper thing that all the players agree on is that he helped them believe in themselves as individuals and as a team. They respect him so much they will do anything to not disappoint him. The Bucs in spite of Brady's less than stellar playoffs before the super bowl were in that position because of Tom Brady IMHO.

Aaron Rodgers got 44; Josh 4; and Mahomes received 2 https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/06/aaron-rodgers-wins-his-third-nfl-mvp-award-putting-him-in-elite-company/ Nice that he was in consideration.

Super Bowl Thread: KC at Tampa Bay
CorkScrewHill replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dislike Brady because he consistently beat the Bills but the man is clearly the greatest player of all time. Just one statistic Tom Brady 10 starts in the Super Bowl ... all of the other 31 NFL QBs combined 11 starts.. if Big Ben were to retire it would be 10 to 8 Brady ... just nuts. A goal for Josh -
This is 24 minutes .. really nice analysis .. spend the time I searched and did not see this elsewhere .. it is a bit older from earlier this year.

1.1 million is nothing.. not looking to resign him to a big dollar contract but there is no point in cutting him. Even 3rd stringers get paid and he is better than most end of the roster running backs.
