  1. The belief with writers in Philly is Tyree Jackson is one of the stars of Eagles camp as he has taken to being a TE incredibly well. There is a good chance he makes the team .. which may cause the Eagles to move on from Ertz. Glad to see he is doing well. https://www.sportscasting.com/zach-ertz-long-desired-plane-ticket-philadelphia-already-purchased-unexpected-eagles-teammate/
  2. Lions keeping it classy cut their long snapper of 17 years on his 40th birthday. What a dumpster fire they are. Rumor has it he intended to celebrate with his family by eating cake and ice cream .. coach Campbell was horrified no knee caps were in the https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/lions-cut-longtime-long-snapper-don-muhlbach/ar-AANqIFQ
  3. Press Conference with Dion discussing the situation He is always so chill
  4. I will go with a TE .. trying to decide between Kelce (hurts KC), Kittle (younger and maybe better), or Kelvin Benjamin (he is due for a breakout). Ok if forced to answer I would take Kelce over Donald as I like hurting KC and helping us in a critical need position.
  5. Jamal Adams signs BIG contract with Seattle. he seems like the type that will be unhappy in 2 years, but good luck to them .. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/17/seahawks-jamal-adams-agree-to-contract/
  6. This post represents what is good and what is bad about this site. The good: The OP looks into all the 1st round DEs and looks at how they have done so far. A nice fact-based, to the best of their knowledge representation, of how they are doing to date. The bad: people take his words out of context and make it like they are ready to crown the guy. He basically stated that Beane has to feel good about the choice.. I am certain Beane does. Just like when you work on a project and the start looks good .. it doesn't guarantee that the project will turn out how you hoped but it is certainly better than the alternative i.e., that it is way off target. The OP @IgotBILLStopay did not say we should get a bust started in Canton, he didn't say future All-Pro, or defensive rookie of the year, or even that it is certain he will be an adequate DE in the NFL. The OP spent time that I do not need to spend now to pull together the info. Then people say he is overreacting by overreacting to what he said .. the irony is amazing. Thank you @IgotBILLStopay .. good post!
  7. I agree on keeping Johnson. I do suspect that given the expanded Practice Squads and the ability to stash a veteran there .. they could stash the one they think is least likely to be poached (Doyle, Bates or Hart). I am not as sold on bates as others but so far in my 40+ years of fandom One Bills Drive has not consulted me .. surprisingly so
  8. The only other Bills on this list is likely Josh Allen and Diggs … people must think McDermott is a wizard to win 23 regular season games and 3 playoff games and only have 4 people in the top 100. The Cowboys, Patriots and Steelers likely have 6 players each .. oh well show them on game day.
  9. Bring a Buckhorn Bar https://trib.com/news/state-and-regional/pandemonium-at-the-buckhorn-as-laramie-celebrates-josh-allen-becoming-wyomings-top-all-time-draft/article_56f00660-eb38-5587-9937-c290e2765e12.html They love them some Josh Allen ““In Heaven there is no beer/That’s why we drink it here.””
  10. Agreed .. the whole thing is theater on the Texans part. He is either first string or he is on some exempt list. Him being 4th string is ridiculous… which was kind of my point
  11. sadly not Davis Webb Just shocking how far this guy has fallen https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/11/deshaun-watson-lands-at-fourth-string-on-texans-quarterback-depth-chart/
  12. For the love of all that is holy .. no vaccine comments. This is the second team I have seen require it. On the bright side when outside yelling … no masks https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/11/bills-fans-must-wear-masks-in-indoor-areas-of-stadium/
  13. I think it depends on the player .. would you take a Guard early in the draft.. Quinton Nelson has panned out ok .. In the first round you hope to find a stud .. all else being equal sure a LT > RT or Guard, but not everything is equal.
  14. a) agreed this is an insane comment .. he is an all-pro b) he was expressing his honest / uninformed opinion .. certainly not facts.. he should avoid scouting when he retires
  15. Comparison between Mahomes contract and JA. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/08/comparing-contrasting-the-patrick-mahomes-josh-allen-deals/ Josh actually makes more in the first 4 years .. Pat gets a little more over the 8 years
  16. Good point .. in fact it appears Mims is on the roster bubble https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/07/jets-2020-second-round-pick-denzel-mims-may-be-on-the-roster-bubble/
  17. Well $850,000 per year gets you Josh Rosen … once the TV streaming deals are redone .. this will be just another large but not excessive contract.
  18. Donkey: You know what else everybody likes? Parfaits. Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get some parfait," they say, "No, I don't like no parfait"? The question is what is Jordan Palmer going to get Josh. Who heard of Jordan Palmer’s QB academy before Josh became his star pupil. No offense I think he has helped Josh but Josh has helped him as much or more
  19. So much great info .. discusses what they worked on .. why he thinks Josh can have higher stars across the board etc. Josh in his words is unique .. plays like a modern qb .. runs evades pressure .. but does that in a massive frame. Highly recommend you give it a listen. He starts at around 16 minutes or so in
  20. Per Ninersnation Josh Rosen $850,000 Rosen is on a one-year deal with zero guaranteed money. If he makes the roster, Rosen's base salary will be $850,000. San Francisco can release the former tenth overall pick of the '18 draft and not suffer any dead money against the salary cap. We could probably trade for him since he is CLEARLY the most pro-ready QB in that class. Get him on the cheap.
  21. This data is from last October, but I have always been a bit skeptical of Andre Roberts .. he takes them out all the time and on average we were one of the better teams re: starting field position.. but by just a little bit ( a yard or two). I also think that Josh like most QBs struggle more when backed up .. I would be fine if Mackenzie took a knee every time .. and he has the added advantage of being a real WR. https://thecommutesports.com/2020/10/27/nfl-starting-field-position/ The chart is pretty interesting so I would recommend taking a look.
  22. You might be right .. but I think if Peyton, Brady, Mahomes were in that situation the D of those teams would not put him at risk as it could kill the season. I believe the Bills feel that way about Josh
  23. I am pretty certain the Bills defensive players would hit each other before touching Josh .. different level of respect. Not the next to make the Josh leap IMHO.
  24. Dolphins OL takes a hit. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2021/08/dolphins-release-ol-d-j-fluker-with-injury-settlement They were counting on him allegedly for a seasoned presence as they have 4 starters on rookie contracts.
