  1. Nothing the TSA comes up with can amaze me. Talk about the inmates running the asylum...and unlike a lot of people, I don't blame the screening agents. I save my venom for the botards dictating policy. When will they realize that a 9-11 aircraft style attack will never happen again. "Sir, could you please remove your shoes?" "But they're flip-flops, what could I possibly have hidden? "We don't make the rules, we just enforce them." "I understand that, but when did shoe removal become policy?" "We'll it's not exactly policy, but all the lemmings do it anyway, so our managers decided we should hassle anybody who doesn't follow our non-existing policy."
  2. $12,960 for Season tickets and they only wnated 20 games? Consider themselves lucky they moved the rest of the tix already. I wouldn't try it next season, once the "shiny new toy" syndrome wears off.
  3. This coming from the richest private organization in the world
  4. Should have named him "Sue." (Nod to the Man in Black) Still wouldn't have been as bad as Craphonso. You know this kid put up with a ton of stojan (no pun intended) as a kid. You can pronounce it any way you want...it still spells crap. Reminds me of the SNL skit with Martin Short as Mr. Asswipe (it's PRONOUNCED ass-sweep-eh!!!!)
  5. Well, Gruden has already had just about every available QB through the revolving door down in Tampa, why not another one. To me it doesn't make sense. Griese did pretty good for them last year and Chris Simms has shown promise in his limited time....and for the life of me, I don't know what Gruden is waiting for with him. Pittman does alright for them when he's not in court and Alstott is getting banged up on a regular basis, so RB seems to be the logical choice.
  6. The Georgia Dome is quite possibly the worst place on earth to watch a football game...although I here the Superdome is quite bad.
  7. Montel still has a show?
  8. "How did an amazing ball striker like yourself....a legend...shoot an 87 in the opening round of the U.S. open." "Well I missed a three foot put on eighteen for an 86."
  9. That's an option on the XLT model, along with temperature contol and corinthian leather.
  10. The Last Boy Scout Joe as puppet: Why did Mr. Mexico cross the road? Joe Hallenbeck: I don't know. Why? Joe as puppet: Because his d@#$ was stuck in the chicken. Alley Thug: Wrong place, wrong time. Nothing personal. Ron Mexico: That's what you think. Last night Ron Mexico banged your wife. Alley Thug: Oh he did, hah? How'd you know it was my wife? Ron Mexico: She said her husband was a big pimp lookin' motherf'er with a hat. Alley Thug: Oh, you're real cool but you've got to take a bullet. Ron Mexico: After banging your wife I'll take two. Joe Hallenbeck: Hey flash, rescue attempt? Ron Mexico: Blow me. Milo: You must be Ronald Mexico. Ron Mexico: Ronald? Joe Hallenbeck: He does that with everybody. He calls me Joseph. Milo: I trust you're alone. Ron Mexico: No, I got the f-n' Vienna Boys Choir with me. What, is everybody stupid around here? Joe Hallenbeck: Just you, kid. Joe Hallenbeck: [Joe just found out that Mexico was having an affair with his wife] Head or gut, Ron? Ron Mexico: Joe how long have we been friends? Joe Hallenbeck: I'd say roughly until you started banging my wife. Head or gut? Ron Mexico: [sighs] Gut.
  11. It's like a passport, but you wear it as a cod piece. I here starting 2007 you need one to get into Canada.
  12. Sorry, Off topic: With all the kids playing soccer in the US nowadays...how long before we win a World Cup?
  13. My dad's biggest rule was while in public (including sports) we represented him, and anything we did to embarass him attitude or discipline-wise would be dealt with. My brother was a pretty decent hockey player. Played on a bunch of select travel teams, at St. Francis and eventually red shirted at Mercyhurst (until he dropped out). I remember one game in HS he was being a bastard out on the ice. Cheap shotting opponents, mouthing off to refs. etc. Pop went down between periods, walked into the locker room and told him right in front of all his buddies and coaches that if he didn't start acting like a man, he was gonna get his ass kicked when we got home....problem solved. My dad's not a big man 5' 8", about 170 lbs but had 23 years in the service. He only had to kick my ass once to get his point across. I used to think he was too strict, but I thank God that he took that route with us (I won't even get started on my grandfathers ). You just don't appreciate it until your an adult. I'm 31, don't have kids, but most my friends do. I see the kids telling there parents to shut-up, screaming until they get there way, telling other adults off. Dr. Spock has truly f'd up our youth. I ref youth hockey (8 -15) down here in Atlanta, mostly because there's a severe shortage of qualified refs. I don't need the money, have better things to do with my time, but the guy who runs the league is a buddy, so I'm helping him out. I've had two fathers threaten me in the parking lot (I just asked them if they really want their kid to see them get their ass kicked) and absorb a constant barrage of insults from people who can't even skate. Have I made bad calls...yes...all refs/umps do at some point, but you can't reverse yourself once you make the call. I've seen coaches threatened and verbally abused by people who don't know what off-sides is. My buddy is mechanic supervisor for Delta...a job that entails a great deal of responsibility and stress, but the hockey league is stressing him out more than that. I dread going to the rink if I'm scheduled to ref a game. Do kids have behavior problems. Sure, they always have, but the parents are the ones who are dropping the ball IMHO. You are not your childs friend and at some point in their life they (the kids) are going to run into someone who won't put up with their BS and that's when it hits the fan. I'll step down of the soapbox now.
  14. First the Pope, now this....what a sh!tty week.
  15. Pope Meatwad I?
  16. I think his point was that once money as a settlement came to the forefront, there was a "piling on" of victims that came forward. I'm not discounting the abuse, nor the suffereing endured by the true victims (I think most Roman Catholics can remember at least one priest that didn't seem right.)
  17. They had elk burgers too. Friend of ours tried it and gave it two thumbs up. I've had elk before, but never in burger form. Good ol' Ted Turner has a chain of bison meat retaraunts down here in Atlanta...Ted's Montana Grill. Good stuff. I think it's spread to other parts of the country. On a side note, I ran into a moose (not literally) on the Union Pass traverse beneath the Hobacks at Jackson Hole MR. Probably was within 30 feet of him/her, as it was just off the side in the brush. I thought it was fake (April Fools Day) until the damn thing lifted its head and looked right at me. Girlfriend still giving me grief for not stopping to take a picture, but with an animal that big, entering rutting season (I believe) my priority was putting some distance between us. Pretty cool experience however. You don't realize how big those things are until there's nothing blocking their path to you.
  18. You already need a passport or an official birth certificate if you fly to and from the U.S. & Canada....drivers license doesn't cut it. I personally don't think it's a big deal as I always have my passport when I travel, but I can see the problems it could cause for border towns. "Papers please."
  19. I was just out in Wyoming and actually talked to a guy who raises bison. (We were doing some riding on his ranch.) I guess bison can run at speeds up to 30 mph, can jump most normal fences and are in a constant state of being pissed off. Seems the biggest wildlife-tourist problem in Yellowstone is people trying to get pictures of the wild bison....they even have a term for it..."tourons." He also mentioned that bison don't adapt well to the mass production methods used with cattle and they do need quite a bit more space, however I can't recall how much exactly. Had a philly cheese steak made with bison after the ride. Not the first time I've had it, but was simply delicious.
  20. I can see Miami, Chicago, Tampa & Minny going RB. I know Minny is loaded with RB's, but rumor has it they want to move towards more of a power running game, however I would guess that they will take Derrick Johnson if he slips that far, or the best CB on the board (Rolle?).
  21. I'm at a loss for words.
  22. All Juniors? I agree....I'd wager there's more to this story.
  23. One of my favorite scenes in PCU. Protesting protesting. "We're not gonna protest!"
  24. Joe DeLamielleure was on Sirius today ripping Haslett a new one. I did here that Haslett has retracted his statements for whatever that's worth.
  25. BBQ Ribs....can't get enough.
