  1. No reviews yet....hmpf
  2. Sgt. Koloff in clear violation of the Russian Army's "Don't Ask, Don't Show" policy.
  3. Here's some short ones I found... James Eggink was among the players selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the 1996 CFL draft. Eggink was certainly a fine player - until his death in December 1995... "I'm upset and embarrassed," Alouettes owner Jim Speros later remarked. "The research process can be very difficult." In 1981, legendary Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry was asked about being the only head coach in the team's history. "That's one way to look at it," Landry replied. "The other is that I haven't had a promotion in 21 years!" Former running back Walt Garrison was once asked whether he had ever seen legendary Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry smile. "No," Garrison replied, "but I was only there nine years." While running a sweep during a game against the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions star Altie Taylor saw linebacker Dick Butkus - one of the legendary "monsters of the midway" - heading toward him and wisely ran the ball out of bounds. Butkus, irked that he had narrowly missed an opportunity to greet his opponent with a bone-crushing tackle, simply picked Taylor up and threw him into the stands.
  4. Even among foolball players, Bronko Nagurski was noted for his incredible strength. In one game against the New York Giants, Benny Friedman, who hit Nagurski at the twelve-yard line could not bring him down until he had run another eleven yards. "He hits hard enough to knock down a horse," Friedman remarked. Incredibly, on the very next play, Nagurski did precisely that, bashing his way through the end zone with such determination that he hit a mounted policeman. Having bowled over both officer and horse, Nagurski returned to his feet. "That last man," he declared with apparent confusion, "hit me awful hard!"
  5. That's the rumor on Sirius. Supposedly the Skins have contacted all the teams with the top four picks. They don't have enough to budge SF. Miami is a definite possibility. No mention of Cleveland. Chicago is said to be interested, but waiting to see if the Cards trade for Henry. They want to make sure they can get one of the top 3 backs at #9.
  6. I'm in. When do we get our tax exempt status?
  7. Every out of town friend I've ever had stay at my parents place marvels at the Tops Truck o' Donuts. Bakers dozen that comes in its own paperboard semi....Brilliant!!!
  8. "What it looks like to me is someone took a picture of your head and pasted it over someone elses body. I've done a little collage work myself." - PCU
  9. Pedro Antartica....man that's cool.
  10. Purchasing/Engineering for a large Atlanta based beverage company that shall go nameless. I mostly do equipment/packaging materials contracts or line installations. I'm either nose deep in work (usually when I'm on the road) or looking for something to do (in the office.)
  11. Couldn't find anything on the Bills website mentioning when individual game tickets go on sale, just a "check back for more info later." Anyone know the date or can give an estimate based on past years. I'm looking to make the trip from Atlanta for the opener and Donkos games this year. Thanks Kevin
  12. Rumor has it the Bears want to move down. If they can't, there's a good chance they take Mike Williams (or Edwards if he's still available). If Gruden can convince a team that he's drafting a RB he might scare someone into dealing with the Bears to get a leg up on Tampa, thus removing the Bears from the WR sweepstakes.
  13. It depends if your parish is named after a male or female saint.
  14. To paraphrase the Dread Pirate Roberts.."His intellect is truly dizzying."
  15. Do you really think terrosists could hijack another plane with box cutters? I would be surprised if they could with anything less than a small armory now that people know the alternative.
  16. I remember you mentioning this in another thread. If you don't mind me asking, what year did it happen? I was there 87-91 and I don't remember ever hearing anything about.
  17. That I can agree on. The ramrodding (sp?) of legislation is what I have a problem with.
  18. Did they vote debtors prison back in? I'd read the article, but everything the government does these days gives me temprary Tourette's.
  19. Yes but the people screening for El Al are trained professionals, not the sideshow circus that represents our airport security. Again, if there is anything they should be concentrating on it's explosives. Sneaking a weapon onto an airliner will not have the same affect as 9/11.
  20. Francis Thomas Overby
  21. "Ben? Nice to meet you...Victor Hugo."
  22. Not sure about that. I think the Giants only have four picks in the entire draft this year. With more pressing needs than RB, I think they hold onto them....but hey, who knows.
  23. At least the Texans lost Sharper...that should set their D back a notch. I also think their depth at corner is a little suspect. After Dunta Robinson, anyone know who they have?
