  1. Shaud is the better blocker.
  2. Because I'm hopeless... Actually I was expecting far worse weather and expected Denver to pound the ball on the ground and by the looks of things, so did Mularkey.
  3. Was that coverge??? And to think I sat Plummer in my Fantasy Footabll playoffs.
  4. I concur. That's the second pass Plummer has hung up that the Bills have gotten burned on. On the first one Clements got owned by Rod Smith.
  5. Peter, Depends on when you go. I've been to Breck probably half a dozen times and will say that I like it less each time I go. Granted last time I went (Holidays last year) it was a zoo, so my opinion is skewed. Here's my take: Town The best part about Breck. Great nightlife, plenty of bars and restaraunts to keep you happy. The Mountain Honestly, not very challenging for advanced boarders & skiers, although they have added a chair since last year (Imperial) which I believe is supposed to open up some more horizontally challenged terrain. One plus is some of their more difficult terrain is also only accessed by a T-Bar, which tends to keep the the less-talented from getting up on that peak. Good area for beginners and intermediates, with lots of wide, groomed blue cruisers. It tends to be crowded during weekends as local Front Range skiers can buy a season pass for around $300, plus it's a top destination resort for the rest of the country. The mountain layout is maddening and it seems like it takes forever if you want to get to a particular area. On mountain food sucks and is expensive, but so is the food at every ski resort I've been to save Whistler & Aspen. Summary My intention isn't to rain on your brother-in-law's parade. If you've never been, go. You'll have a great time. Any resort out west is like Mt. Olympus compared to the Southern Tier resorts of WNY. However, if you frequently ski out west, you may be underwhelmed. Any further questions, just let me know. - Kevin
  6. I used to work in the Coke Tower just north of the Aquarium. Wasn't too long ago we had bulletproof glass on the first five floors, "just in case." It is gradually getting better, but lower midtown/downtown will continue to be a ghost town after 5pm until they take a stance on petty crime & panhandling. What do you htink about the whole Atlantic Station development. i know it's being heralded as a marvel of industrial redevelopment and supposedly they cleaned the first foot of topsoil an put down barriers, below that foot (don't know the specifics). All I have to say is even just a foot of soil from an area that large is a mammoth and supposedly it was cleaned "on site." Don't know if I'd gamble my future living over an old steel mill.
  7. I thought they were going to limit tickets and assign scheduled times to mitigate the crowds....so much for that. I was planning on going one of these weekends, but I'll have to rethink it. Jeff, you know as well as I do people in the A-T-L are a-holes. Southern hospitatlity my @ss Least they cleaned up the empty lot across the street. Doesn't smell like stale piss anymore.
  8. If I recall correctly, that didn't turn out so well for us. I'm not familiar with the tactics or the individual merits of those calling the shots in the battle, but I believe we got spanked by a far inferior Japanese force. Something to the tune of one lost cruiser and a few others busted up pretty badly.
  9. Quick hijack of thread back to it's original topic: Sat next to a Pearl Harbor survivor on the way back from Honolulu yesterday. 87 yrs old and still very sharp. Not too many of those folks left, so I have to say it was a real treat. He had some great stories about his experiences during the raid and the resulting aftermath. And I agree with BiB, every American should take the time to go the AZ memorial, stare down into the water and think about how fortunate you are. That is if you can think over all the clicking the Japanese cameras are making. The only thing I have ever seen that is as emotionally moving is the cemetary in Colleville sur Mer. I know more than a few people who have been to Hawaii (some several times) and shrug when you ask them if they went to see the Arizona. Excuses range from "not really interested," or "didn't want to wait in line," or the worst, "it's just a ship." I've burned a few bridges calling their character into question, but wish they could have sat in my airline seat and listened for just a little while.
  10. Hpefully some one will ask him how one WR gets 250yds against your D and then you have a nickel back covering him on the most crucial play of the game.
  11. Should have clarified. I'm not watching the game at all. Choices here are ATL vs CAR & CIN vs PIT...not bad choices.
  12. Same here. One week I decide not to head to the bar to watch the game and they blow up. hey...maybe it's all my fault.
  13. Great work....as always.
  14. Not sure if linked in previous threads, but don't forget Episode III: A Lost Hope http://www.sequentialpictures.com/moviestarwarsepisode3.html
  15. Great article. Makes you feel proud one minute and heartbroken the next. Although I should have waited to read it at home. People look at you funny when you walk around work with red rimmed eyes.
  16. "We have both types of music...Country and Western."
  17. Cue the obligatory Triumph link "Look at this one. You are some kind of super nerd, built in a laboratory out of parts of lesser nerds."
  18. Well, he did play Greg Louganis in the Lifetime movie of Louganis' life (I'll let the more creative posters poke fun at that). So he must be qualified.
  19. You're really giving yourself way too much credit on the funny end.
  20. Should have listened to my own advice. I also kept Roy Willams on the bench because reports said he wouldn't be playing the whole game....Ouch.
  21. The next thing you guys will be telling me is that they'll put an NHL team in Phoenix.....Uh....carry on.
  22. Fair take by the author...not the league. Damn, I'm out of bottles.
  23. Fair take...but it still pisses me off every time I read about it. Time to go smash some bottles in the driveway.
  24. Well in hindsight with what happened with Priest...Team 1.
  25. Here's my WR's in the order I drafted them in a money league. Javon Walker (Out) Andre Johnson (finally back in, but I didn't expect the Texans to suck this bad) Darrell Jackson (Out) L. Fitzgerald (my savior) Traded for Roy Willimas (Out) Picked up Brandon Lloyd (Out) Robert Ferguson (Out) I'm gonna trade for Kennison to see if I can jinx him for this Sunday.
