Personally, I think all the posturing is going to blow up in their face. I'm guessing the majority of Americans don't/didn't really care about the illegal "issue," but now that it's being shoved in our faces, I wouldn't be suprised if there is a backlash against the illegals.

I hope not. That would be a crime.

I hear it's filled with illegal Amish.

Victory Storm King. Terrapin (Athens, GA) makes a coffe oatmeal, that at first seems too complex, but I really started to like it after I had it for a 2nd time. -

Had it for the first time this past weekend. I've tried and liked their other beers, but the Hercules is outstanding. Stoudt's out of PA also does an excellent Double IPA. I'm a huge pale ale/IPA fan. Gotta have my hops. I recommed Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for someone looking to try, or get into pales. Great beer, very consistent quality and readily available. Another label to look for is Deschutes (Bend, OR) if they are distributed in your area. All their "hoppy" beers are outstanding...Mirror Pond Pale, Hop Henge IPA, Inversion IPA & Hop Trip. Mirror Pond will be the easiest to find. For someone wanting to dive in the hop deep end, I recommend Three Floyds Alpha King or Heavy Seas Loose Cannon Hop3 (from Clipper City Brewery, Baltimore, MD). Tater, they make an excellent pilsner called Small Craft Warning. For those of you with access to Wegman's, they were carrying Magic Hat (Burlington, VT) brews last time I was home. #9 is their staple, but all their beers are excellent. Premier Gourmet on Delaware has a great selection in Buffalo. I want to be entombed in Beers of the World in Roch. For the Atlanta crowd, Greens on Ponce or Buford Hwy has a great selection. Also, a huge place just opened down 85 SW of the City...heading to PTC. Georgia World of Beverages. I'll check it out sometime in the next couple days and report back. -
What is it about ILLEGAL aliens

I actually had to go to Wal-Mart tonight to pick some things up (I loathe Wal-Mart). Just from my own quick visual survey... does anyone think they they are underestimating the count at 11 million? -
I guess I spoke too soon.

We'll grant them amnesty. We need to focus on border control people. Elmira is the new El Paso.

Not sure most people would get the reference.

Crime is definitely out of hand.

The next town over from me is like that. Too many cops for the trickle of crime that occurs, so handing out tickets for stupid infractions is the norm. My solution to the "slow crossing," issue. Lets install catapults or trebuchets. -
And his hairpeice. "Killer" Carlson was also in the press box, because he had a cold.

Seems about right. However a brawl like that is timeless.

Let's organize a protest. Of course, our platform is that we need to build a wall around Pennsylvania. Tell them to take their Apple Butter and go back to where they came from.

1997? Goalie equipment looks older than that. Vintage even. None the less, the best part is when the announcer says the crowd is chanting "We love hockey!" as the teams beat each other senseless.

Masters Week - one of the best weeks of the year
Kevbeau replied to todd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can submit your name for a practice ticket lottery. Between my Dad and I we have managed 4 tickets to at least one day 5 out of the past 6 years. Usually we end up with 4 tickets for two days (Mon & Wed this year ) This year was th enicest weather I can remember. Usually rains during the practice rounds. The course is immaculate, walking on the grass is like walking on expensive carpet and the landscaping is so pristine it looks fake. As an added bonus, beer is dirt cheap for a sporting event ($2.50). -

Anyone think we could land Hawk and Bing
Kevbeau replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chandler Bing? [Pleads Ignorance] As for Hawk, with NO trading Gandy the first 3 picks are set in stone. Texans - Bush Saints - D'Brick Titans - Leinart I would guess the Jets would now take Williams, so Hawk would have to clear GB and SF to reach the Bills. Packers need help everywhere and the 9ers lost Julian Peterson, so I doubt he reaches #8. If the Texans are smart...which they're not... they should posture that they'll take D'Brick and hope to extort the Saints into swapping picks with them. Edited: I can see the Raiders drafting Young, so what the Bills really need is someone taking a flyer on Cutler in the top 7. Most mocks now have Davis going to SF. -

Word of advice on flights. Flying into Atlanta will probably be your cheapest route, but it's a four hour drive of the most boring stretch of highway in the South. Rt. 16 from Macon to Savannah has few exits and is trapped heavily. If it doesn't break the bank, fly directly into Savannah. We just had a hockey tournament in Savannah this past weekend and a room at a decent hotel with an easy walk to River or Bay St. was going from $200-$250/nt. Figure at least that for St. Patty's Day...probably more. Staying out by the airport is cheaper, but not as fun. Can be walked in a drunken stupor, but I wouldn't recommend it. Staying in the middle of the party allows you and your buds to come and go as you please. I've had a St. Patty's day cut short because we were with the girlfriend's friend who can't hang and she needs to get back to the hotel to crash and doesn't feel safe by herself. Started drinking at 10am and she's down for the count by 8pm. C'mon???!!! Waited for the girls to pass out and we headed back out. That was 6 years ago and I still catch stojan for it. I'm not a huge fan of tours, but outside of St. Patty's activities I'd recommend a haunted pub crawl. Good way to find out of the way places to grab a drink. You'd be amazed at the number of bars/pubs/restaraunts that are in old homes and buildings. Without the pub crawl, I wouldn't have even realized they were there. What else....Moon River is a decent microbrewery and just don't hit the bars on River St. There's a few good Irish, Speakeasy (Crystal Beer Parlor on Jones St.) and Colonial style (Six Pence on Bull St.) pubs a few blocks off. Grab a sandwich at B.Matthew's Bakery/Eatery on E. Bay. They have some kind of sandwich made from black-eyed peas or chick peas (can't remember) that is fantastic. This coming from a guy who has to have meat with every meal.

We've got a big production plant right in Tempe, so when I'm there I stay at the Courtyard in the middle of downtown Tempe. Man the talent walking around there ...[shudder]
