  1. 95% Got the orange triangular sign question wrong.....stupid Amish.
  2. Moe Wanchuck would be proud.
  3. I thought the tripping call on Spacek was the worst...but hey, the refs didn't beat the Sabres.
  4. "I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up with my head stapled to the carpet."
  5. Meh....talk to me when it comes in a Hot Pocket.
  6. That's a lot of sequels. Thanks Mark.
  7. I think he went to Timon. Left sophomore??? year to play with Honeybaked AAA, one of the best, if not the best Midget AAA teams in the country. I know he played on the Western team in the Empire games recently. Like X said, most recent scouting reports have hom going in the early first round. Possibly top 5.
  8. WTF? Is the guy who owned the thong on probation also?
  9. Dick Clark is still alive? I thought he was buried in his restaraunt in the Salt Lake Airport.
  10. That's what we did in college. Got a sweet bar with the minor headache of installation only....and I second the brass foot rail. A definite must. I built this keg system for my garage and hockey team events. (It has wheels and is movable). The Beerhound Putting in a keg tap system isn't too difficult...although with a tower, you will need a blower to keep cool air circulating near the end of your lines. Other options include using a chest freezer (like I did), keeping it in another room and running your lines using a glycol pump cooling system to keep the beer cold.
  11. 6-pack? Better to be overprepared Reminds me of the Molson commercial they show during the Sabres games on Center Ice. Basically a guy walking around w/ a sixer of Canadian while a montage of scenes change around him. Myslef, my brother (visiting me here in Atlanta, still lives in Buffalo) and a buddy are watching the game at my place and my buddy goes "I don't get that commercial." To which my brother replies "Yeah, what kind of an @#$hole only brings a 6-pack to a party?'....Priceless.
  12. Our hockey team rented a bus for a team field trip to a ECHL game hear in Atlanta. Lo and behold, the bus had a stripper pole!!! Wives and g-friends couldn't stay off the damn thing. I'm with Last Kid Picked, nothing accesorizes a living room like a stripper pole.
  13. I was expecting around 2-3, so I'll take 9 with a smile. To me the bigger issue is the way the NHL handles suspensions on a case by case basis. There should be strict penalties for specific actions, regardless of the outcome. Also the penalties need to be consistent, regardless of the player. Most beer leagues manage to pull it off, but then again their players are only marketable at the local pub.
  14. Yeah it's just killing the area. You're right, unrealistic wages and benefit packages have nothing to do with manufacturing jobs been relocated elsewhere.
  15. This is what I posted on SabreSpace. I need to run up my post count over here. I'm starting to feel inadequate. Nichol has at least two suspensions in the past. That should weigh in when the verdict comes down. As someone else said, I think they make an example out him...mostly due to the fact that he's a borderline NHL player and the penalty will be compared to Carmello Anthony's, who actually is a star. As for what Spacek did, until the new rules came about, that's textbook (We called it the canopener, they call it interference now ). You get your stick down between his legs and take away his lateral movement. Is it dangerous when someone's crashing like that. Yeah, but my job as a d-man is to prevent him from playing the puck, not to worry whether we're going into the post. I've also seen on some other boards that Spacek should have road him away from the post. It's true, you can leverage and ride a guy out of the play pretty easily if you've got him hogtied, but for the most part you would have to push him out of the play. In this case (at the speeds they were going) Spacek couldn't ride him off, as he would have went right into Marty. Also, maybe my technique sucks, but I've never been able to pull someone out of the play with my stick (unless I have a leg behind his, but that's another story). The stick is there to keep his leg movement limited, it's the body on body that's riding the guy out of the play. If I was Nichol, I would have been pissed to, but it doesn't change the fact that he jacked a guy who wasn't looking. What makes it even worse in my opinion is that he grabs Spacek by the back of the yoke and "pulls" him into the punch. To me, that says he's not giving Jaro an opportunity to get set. Does Jaro need to be more aware. Sure does. Taking Nichol's past history into account, you need to know who you're taking out of the play. Even in rec leagues, I make it a point to be aware when the other team's hotheads are out on the ice. Either to draw them into a penalty or to watch out for my own @ss.
  16. Also, Sabres fans invade occasionally to loot, pillage and burn.
  17. Morris, you make me sick when you speak.
  18. Dude, put the pipe down and back away. Seriously, have you been to NC lately?
  19. Maybe it's the beer, but that is priceless. I know more than a few Canadians getting that via email tomorrow.
