  1. I know
  2. OK...that's advice you can use for anything outdoors.
  3. Here you go...effective, but not as good as a Shiv. Solution
  4. That's advice that you can use for anything.
  5. Dumb & Dumber (Seriously) Last of the Mohicans Bravehart
  6. So maybe I'm misunderstanding you. The "moves" being made bring the gap to the levels we discuss and traditionally it's more than $4/hr (8K/yr)? The reason I say this, is that even at the revised levels, that is still a significant gap unless said workers over some sort of skill set beyond their competition.
  7. What poor companies fail to realize is that there is always a market for talented people.
  8. Yeah...Vanek seems to be the only one who can score within five feet of the goal. Sucks man, they had the Panthers on the ropes for the entire game and one bad minute cost them. Still, you can't lose games to teams missing more than half of their top 6 forwards.
  9. That L. Ron Hubbard guy sure was smart For the sarcasmly challenged....yes I'm joking.
  10. Which is a shade over 8K a year sans overtime. How many extra cars does Ford/GM/Chrysler have to sell to bridge the competetive gap. 8K difference a year is huge when it comes to labor.
  11. Truly dizzying. That may even top the $200 hammer story.
  12. 78.79% Didn't read the one question correctly and the Socrates, Plato question threw me.
  13. Hmmm Gov't Waste. When I got my Georgia driver's license, they gave me a plastic id version with temporary stamped across it. The actual version was mailed to me a month later and was the exact same card without "temporary" stamped across it. Many moons ago, my dad was the safety/facilities officer for the 914th up at NFAFB (late 80's/early 90's). Was instucted by the gubment that the the bathrooms in the pilot's locker room had to be upgraded to make them handicapped accessible to the tune of 40K or so.
  14. That's their problem....Marketing. Captain Jamii Adam doesn't sound too snappy, does it? Get the man a parrot and nickname.
  15. And why would they have circulatory or breathing problems. Sounds like a perpetual cycle to me.
  16. Supermarkets need hold off Wal-mart in some manner...and this is just one of them. They're losing too many customers too Supercenters.
  17. That's probably it. Dr. Pepper is probably a franchisee for RC in TExas. Just as Dr. Pepper is bottled by Coca-Cola & Pepsi outside of Texas.
  18. No it's not. The RC Brand is owned by Cott.
  19. Thanks for the insight. I thought turkey came from tofu. My point was that her "people" should have been aware that in spite of reality, they should have aware of its possible impact and worked the shot to make sure that it doesn't become fodder for message boards.
  20. I think it's more of a shot at her PR department and its lack of foresight.
  21. As someone alluded to before, my experiences with unions (and yes I have been in one) is that their biggest detriment is the blind protection of what we'll call "less than desirable" workers. The vast majority of workers put in an honest days work, but you can't underestimate the damage the bottom 5% or so can do. Also, it's been my experience that most of the stewards knew that that the person should be canned, but felt their hands were tied because "he pays his dues."
  22. That helps. My comprehension....it not so good, ah?
  23. I'm guessing field hockey....not REAL hockey.
  24. [in best Bill Murray Caddyshack voice] 1,000 yards out. Slight wind left to right. I highly recommend the Phalanx.
  25. I just received a brand new composite hockey stick from an online purchase....Made in China The humanity!!! If hockey has gone Chinese, what do we have left????
