  1. Are you guys seriously trying to tell me that not one person out there, got a tatoo for the "look at me" factor? Look, I know people who have got them for personal reasons and I'm cool with that. I realize tatoos don't define them as a person. I also realize that tatoos now cross all economic & educational levels, but at least on a corporate level the majority of the people who still generate the money and do the hiring don't.
  2. The Japanese/Chinese characters are my favorites. My opinion is there are certain number of people out there, who truly get Tatts for artistic/creative reasons. The rest are "look at me" ilk.
  3. Caught a special on child hunger in America a few weeks ago (60 minutes, 20/20, something like that). The thing that stands out to me was one woman wailing about how she can't feed her kids.....while holding her Blackberry...... with her freshly manicured nails......to go along with her expensive looking hairstyle. Not saying this is the norm, but everyone has choices to make.
  4. So we're instinctive fatasses? "It's not my fault....I can't excercise rational thought, so I have to instinctively stuff my face with Ding Dongs." Look, if people want to be overweight, that's fine by me. Just accept that it's a choice (for the vast majority) and enough with the excuses.
  5. I hear ya, but if you take a meal from McDonalds from the last generation and compare it to today: Hamburger 250 Cal, 9g Fat Fries 100 Cal, 11g fat Coca Cola (8oz) 110 Cal, 0g Fat 460 calories, 20g Fat....versus Quarter Pounder with Cheese 510 Cal, 26g Fat Large Fries 500 Cal, 25g Fat Diet Coke (Cause everyone is watching their waistline) 1010 Cal, 51g Fat....That's more than half what an average person should eat in a day calorie wise and more fat than they should have in a day. I know comparing a quarter Pounder to a Hamburger is ridiculous, but does McDonald's even offer a Hamburger value meal for adults? Hell, their new Angus burgers break the scale at 750 Cal+ and 40+g of Fat. I realize that sometimes time necessitates fast food, but it's possible to eat "healthier" when going through the drive thru. I'm sure the grilled chicken sandwich is pretty low on the totem poll at Mickey D's. Portion size is off the charts in this country. People just need to show some moderation...your appetite will adjust. Can't anyone heat up a can of Chicken Noodle/Tomato/Minstrone anymore?
  6. Also, the reduction in manual labor has to play some part, no? Not to mention, suburban sprawl has reduced the amount of daily walking for most Americans....we drive everywhere. Having said that, I have no sympathy for the "Lean Cuisine Army" that also takes the elevator for one floor and spends 5 minutes looking for a closer parking spot to the health club door.
  7. vs. Godzilla???
  8. People should be controlled as a nuisance breed. That wil ltake care of the "pitbull problem."
  9. Is that considered a litter?
  10. "Y Control" is another good song they have.
  11. I'd say the same about the left....cause they're "radicals", not rational.
  12. Have you read the Red Dawn thread yet Bill? (just kidding, great info)
  13. West Side Story meets Red Dawn?
  14. It's "because we live here!"
  15. My dog knows the bowling score.....Hal---le---lu---jah.
  16. Furthering the Hijack Colonel: "All that hate is gonna burn you up kid." Robert: "Keeps me warm." Who thought C Thomas Howell could be such a badass?
  17. "The chair is against the wall...the chair is against the wall" "John has a long mustache...John has a long mustache." If the Russians invaded in '84 they wouldn't have had a prayer. Every boy in the country was ready & waiting.
  18. Guy shoul dhave known that's what happens when you tag Sideshow Bob.
  19. "But we don't buy sharks off the street," Apparently they have a policy on purchasing street sharks
  20. I work for a large corporation and we're having a fantasmic year...and not hiring. All this legislation has our leadership on edge until they see how it plays out and we can better quantify the "true" costs.
  21. Had the same thing happen, except the woman was on a cell phone and I was already stopped at a red light. She claims she never saw my brake lights or the red light . My car was a complete loss as was the car she pushed mine into. I saw her coming in the rearview mirror and can still picture it in my head if I want to [involuntary flinch]. The kicker is the guy in the car in front of me sued her for whiplash.
  22. Miss: Polish Living Rooms (aka screened in garages) Front Porches Sweatshirt Weather Fireplace going while it snows outside Friends/Neighbors "Dropping By" for the hell of it. Driving out 20A to Letchworth with the sunroof open. Don't Miss: Slush Multiple Days of Grey Skies Seeing my old neigborhoods turn to crap. Seems like the east side just continues to expand. I also find that many of my family/friends that are left in Buffalo seem to be ignorant of the larger world in general. Maybe it's just my circle?
  23. Sounds like 75K/episode will be just enough to cover all the therapy sessions for these poor kids.
