  1. You're all wrong. Soda increases intelligence and has the nutrients that plants crave.
  2. "Nice Jungers!"
  3. Party on Wayne!
  4. Out of curiosity I wonder what the ROI is for hunting vs. buying it from your local supermarket. I know plenty of people that make good salaries tell me they're just putting food on the table. Crock of Sh**. I don't begrudge the fact that people hunt. Just be up front about it. I.e I like the taste of deer...I like hunting....I like shooting things. For the record, I'm not a vegetarian....I've worked in the food industry and have been in kill facilites...and there's a difference between hunting and marksmanship.
  5. and you felt the need to share this because.........................???
  6. You mean a "bruise?"
  7. I wondered how long it would take to turn into a Kari Wuher thread. I have to admit, she was the first thing I thought about when I heard Ken Ober passed. Hopefully Ken's enjoying himself in the a big stuffed Barcalounger. RIP.
  8. That implies there is someone willing to purchase said tickets.
  9. 15 yr old Pomeranian 1.5 yr old Greyhound/German Shepard mix (rescue) 1 yr old Bull Terrier/Lab mix (rescue) 10 yr old pissed off cat that thinks he's a dog
  10. Bah...who has time for details these days.
  11. I want to truly thank all of you for bringing a little ray of sunshine into an otherwise mundane beginning of the workweek.
  12. Great, he'll fit right in!
  13. "The provision could be structured as either a tax or a fee, he said, and could be a one-time provision rather than a permanent tax." Oh, my bad. It's not a tax, it's a fee. Well carry on then. What a douche.
  14. I see it as another attempt by the gov't to protect idiots from themselves. I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea, but I still think it reeks of the "It's not my fault crowd."
  15. Don't know if they worked in warehouses, but they were undrafted: Priest Holmes Willie Parker Ryan Grant
  16. 12 team league (Picked 5th). Starting lineup - QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, FLEX(RB/WR/TE), D, K....Pretty Much Standard Scoring DeAngelo Williams Roddy White Philip Rivers Marshawn Lynch DeSean Jackson Steve Breaston Ray Rice Carson Palmer Lance Moore LeSean McCoy Nate Washington Cadillac Williams Neil Akers Washington D Jermichael Finley My thoughts: I think I have a solid core, but need one of my secondary receivers to step up. Feel like I have a lot of upside to my RB's, but will limp along unil Marshawn returns. Best Pick: Ray Rice in the 7th. I think he's the man in B'more this year. Worst Pick: (TIE) Big reach for Nate Washington with my 11th pick. Probably could have had him off the WW and grabbed Fred Jackson with this pick. Also since we don't need to start a TE, picking Finley in the 15th was kind of a waste. Sleeper: Cadillac Williams. Has looked like the Caddy of old so far this pre-season.
  17. Bettman is just a mouthpiece for the owners. If the owners wanted Basille to own a team, he would already.
  18. That's a great point, but I'm still sticking to diet & lack of excercise as the main culprits.
  19. I briefly looke dover the links the article gave, but can't say I really read it. I agree, the number seems absurd. I'm not discounting that there truly are people out there with genuine obesity related medical conditions, but to say that 80% is genetics related seems like a blanket excuse of "not my fault."
  20. Dibs! I thought of it! Get my patent attorney on the line.
  21. If anyone hasn't seen Wall-E (Caught part of it last night) I was unaware of the firestorm of criticism surrounding its depiction of morbidly obese people. Did a little googling on commentary and this one below came up on the first page. Wall-E Linky "But the metaphor only works if you believe familiar myths about the overweight:......It ought to go without saying that this stereotype of the "obese lifestyle" is simply false. How fat you are has a lot more to do with your genes than with your behavior. As much as 80 percent of the variation in human body weight can be explained by differences in our DNA." I'll reserve comment for now.
  22. Maybe he can have some speakers installed. Seriously, I'm guessing plastic surgery could fix that.
  23. I was wondering about that. So once those suckers go in the change is permanent?
  24. Apologies, I read your point wrong.
  25. Only a couple things to add: If anyone gets easily carsick, dramamine is a must on the rode to Hana. Like SDS said, 7 Sacred pools is worth it if you hike up to the waterfalls through some very cool bamboo forests...most people don't. The pools are usually packed. I've been to the top of Haleakala several times, but the best experience I've had was a horseback ride down into it. Dining: Makawao Deli: Hands down the best Sushi I've had in the States. Honokawai Deli: Used to be affordable and great Mahi fish fry. Recent reviews say as they've gotten bigger (i.e. since they've been in "Maui Revealed") and the reviews claim it's not the same. I'd still try it. If you can get the right table at Mama's, it's incredible beach side atmosphere. Overprices, but everything in Hawaii is overpriced.
