  1. I'll throw Deschutes Inversion into the mix. Their standard Pale Ale (Mirror Pond) is also outstanding. However, don't think you can get it east of Texas yet. Also, for those of you in/visiting the SE, try out any of Sweetwater's offerings.
  2. Unless they're on the double-secret path to citizenship.
  3. Well that a we'll have to wait for Wyld Stallions to actually learn how to play. Are these people serious?
  4. I heard the Friday game was going to bw shown on tape delay (4pm) on NHLN...not sure about saturday. Also, TSN and MSG are carrying both, ,but I haven't seen it listed on any CI schedules. Typical NHL ambiguous BS.
  5. In my limited experience with dealing with gov't projections....no. Their projections are usually calculated in a vacuum and they don't seem to grasp the concepts of demand and/or elasticity curves.
  6. Don't remember that one. Was it Journey or Foreigner?
  7. Wife and I hit up Caffe Lola for lunch last time we were in NF, based on TripAdvisor reviews. It didn't disappoint. Food was excellent and it's paninis and small plates, so the prices are very reasonable. Caffe Lola
  8. Mines in the shop. Getting some straight pipes and Dub-2s. Of course the shop is located in Lichtenstein because I don't want to support the American worker.
  9. Spoooooooooooonnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Upgraded to 6.0
  11. Looks like a 5.8 centered in the middle of VA.
  12. Your ignoring the secondary costs of owning such devices. A TV in the 70's was a one time outlay in capital (+ electricity). Now you have Direct TV/cable/HD upgrades/DVR services/etc....the same can be said for smart phones and music services. People focus on the $200 outlay for an iphone (I'm not current on prices), but don't take into account the $35/month required data plan. There was an tragic case down here in GA a few years ago. I'm going off memory, so excuse me if the details aren't completely accurate. A lady wrecked her SUV (hydroplaned) and unfortunately her daughter & niece (I believe) lost their lives. She claimed she couldn't afford new tires, however the DA prosecuted her for negligent homicide because her tires were bald, noting that the said woman had no problem paying for a number of luxury items yet cited insufficient funds for tires. I did a quick search to find any articles to see how it played out, but cam eup with nothing.
  13. Depends on the definition of "dirty work." I get the feeling you have a perception of people at that socioeconomic rung as a bunch of sherry swilling country club goers...keep watching TV. Most of them are extreme workaholics, who do the "down & dirty work" through a combination of intelligence & risk analysis and are compensated for that. You can go out and find another guy to put Nut A on Bolt B, but the kind of people you're referring to don't grow on trees.
  14. I was thinking the same thing.
  15. Missed the drought question Seemed like half the questions were more socialogical than geographical. Still....no reason to fail the test.
  16. These aren't mutually exclusive. Also, people move all the time to further/maintain careers and it's not always the preferred option.
  17. Popeye Shrugged? The Tax Man: You just docked? Popeye: I has. The Tax Man: Ah ha, let's see here, that'll be 25¢ docking tax. Popeye: What for? The Tax Man: Where's your sea craft? Popeye: It ain't no sea craft, it's me dinghy and it's under the wharf. The Tax Man: Ah ha. ahh-ha. This your goods? Popeye: They is. The Tax Man: Yeah. You're new in town right? Popeye: If you call this a town, yes. The Tax Man: Well, first of all, there's 17¢ new-in-town tax, and there's 45¢ rowboat-under-the-wharf tax, and one dollar leaving-your-junk-lying-around-the-wharf tax, so all together, you owe the Commodore $1.87. Popeye: Uh, who's this Commodore? The Tax Man: Is that the nature of question? There's a nickel question tax.
  18. Suicide Kings?
  19. Maybe the guy shouldn't have knocked up his wife until he had a job.
  20. I just recieved my most recent "Social Security Statement" in the mail. You know, the "you have earned anough credits to recieve $XXXX.XX pe rmonth at retirement." They then go on to outline every penny they'e ever recieved from my income and employer contributions. I imagine the intent is to reassure people....a "look we're taking care of your money statement." All it does is piss me off.
  21. Bwaaaahhh! I thought the workout was over! And the first few times I went through each workout, I was fixated on the damn timing bar on the bottom of the screen. I almost threw my waterbottle through the TV the first time he added sets to one of the circuits. I saw great results going through it. I was in decent shape ahead of time and still managed to drop 15 lbs and honestly say I didn't follow the plan to a T or even use the nutrition guide. I also saw a noticeable increase in speed & stamina on the ice (still play in 3 hockey leagues). I'll pull out a DVD and do one of the workouts a few times a week now as it's way better IMO than anything you could get plyo/cardio wise in a gym.
  22. I don't subscribe much to the conspiracy theorists, but what are the chances that this isn't a coincidence?
  23. Not being a smart alec, but has anyone gone through or know anyone who has gone through a "job re-training course?" I'm curious if they have any value or just a bunch of fluff.
  24. I understand where you're coming from, but if you were to treat it from an "investment" standpoint it's still an absurd amount per student. Looking at the cost/return, if I were to bring a similar proposal to the table I'd be laughed out of the room.
  25. I'm a Cholula man myself.
