Not disagreeing, but I've always had a soft spot for -
This thread.....delivers! Thanks for making my Tuesday

One.....they still make Bowflex? Two....this guy should have cut her a check for 19K on the spot. The extra 1K is for getting off easy.

Looking past that this a discussion I really never envisioned myself in The protagonist wants more pictures of the "subject" so he can "turn Japanese" to her image. It was the 80's, so pictures and a little side boob on HBO had to get the poor guy through the week.

Then why all the lyrics about looking at pictures?

Edward Snowden: Hero or Traitor?
Kevbeau replied to CosmicBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Can we make "douchebag" an option. I only say that because this feels like an attention grab masked in patriotism. I freely admit I haven't delved too deep into the story, so I may (and probably am) way off. -
They're singing about wacking off.

Brown bear in my neighbors trash

First thing that came to mind -
Don't forget Poker. Who would have thought the viewing audience would tire of watching a bunch of d-bags play cards.

Not to mention....I believe the official that was in the booth is in charge of NCAA officiating? Don't think he's going to state that his guy blew the call on national TV. FWIW, don't have a dog in this fight...except wasting a couple hours last night.

They all went to St. Francis and were a year to two apart. I grew up with Dave, and have to say I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know he was here in Atlanta. Apparently, not only have I soured on the Bills, but my indifference has spread to other teams. Obviously haven't seen or talked to him in years, but he always was a sharp guy.

It's the End of the World As We Know It
Kevbeau replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'd throw the following in the ring: "Boy, The Superintendent's going to be pissed." "Back of man. I'm a scientist." "Where do these stairs go?" "They go up." Gold I tell you. -

The Deadites or Gort? -
I'd always heard the term "New England Rambler." My understanding was that as the number of kids in the family increased, Dad would have to build additions onto the orginal structure. Guessing the siding probably didn't match the original.

Haven't driven the AWD, but as an Acura owner, I'd completely agree with this. When I bought mine (about two years ago) I I test drove the @#$% out of the following. I'm in my car for at least two hours a day, so my primary interests were comfort and a decent powerplant that also got decent gas mileage. Also keep in mind it's the only FWD of the lot. 335 - Best perfomance by far. Blast to drive. Figured all that fun would cost me an arm and leg in tires & brakes. G35/37 - Second best driving performance. Interior fit & finish left a little to be desired, but chalk it up to personal taste. IS350 - Great performance, great fit & finish. Cramped Cabin TL - Great fit and finish, Worst performance of the bunch, but it's a stacked deck. Felt it would be the most comfortable for my commute.

If you're looking at Audis check online and see what other luxury dealers have in stock. My experience is that they're willing to deal just to get the car off the lot. I bought my Acura at Lexus dealer here in Atlanta, our Tundra from an Audi dealer and the Lexus ...actually think it was a Lexus dealer, but it was used. Got great deals and had a pleasent experience every time. Definitely stick with used in Atlanta. Not worth worrying about a new car with all the road debris, semis (cracked windshields) and horrible drivers. The Acura ('08 TL; 97K) replaced an '00 Accord two years ago that had 270K+ miles. Got in a minor fender bender and the adjuster took one look at the odometer and totaled it. The Accord is the only new car I have ever bought. For whatever reason, it ws only 500 bucks more than the used ones sitting on the lot at the time. Without that accident, I believe I'd still be driving it. Hoping to get to 300K on the Acura.) Lexus ('99 RX300) has 170K miles. Only had to replace wear and tear items. Wife considering a new car, but the thing still runs like a top. Replaced a Dodge Avenger that was in the running for the Annual Biggest POS Car. To the OP...highly recommend the Tundra if you're looking for a truck. Have had ours for two years now and it performs beautifully (towing horses.) Decent used market, as there's plenty of trade-ins from people who've babied there trucks. I guess the same could be said of all truck companies. I remember when we bought our first truck, it was mostly high mileage work trucks on the market. When we first got it, it would be the only Toyota in the trailer lot at the local park. Now seeing (and know people) who are using the Tundra for tow/haul. I'd still stick with a 3/4 ton for anything with living quarters, but the Tundra easily handles a 3 horse slant load (goose neck/no living quarters.) If Toyota every gets in the Super Duty market, I'm in. The Tundra replaced a '99 V10 F250 that was the bane of my existance. In fairness, the truck had a 180K on it when we sold it (2nd owners), but I was under the hood at least every other weekend. Don't want to know how much we sunk into it in parts/time/headaches. Mostly electrical/ignition/plug issues because of poor design (Known issues with the V10). Diesels are a whole different story and with a couple exceptions, most people I know are happy with their Ford diesels. Obviously I lean towards Honda/Toyota. They've done more than enough to earn my loyalty. Additionally, I have quite a bit of work experience with Japanese companies... know how focused they are on quality...and these two companies are the gold standard they benchmark against.

Just a bunch of chicks dressed like Ramathorne. Nothing to see here.

I just got back from Spain (Barcelona) and had a rental with a stick. I can't imagine trying toi handle traffic around there if you didn't know how to work a clutch.

Rick Gassko: What the hell are you doing? Brad: I'm slashing my wrist. Rick Gassko: With an electric razor? Brad: Yeah, I couldn't find any razor blades. Rick Gassko: Well at least your wrist will be smooth and kissable.

Since I like to tinker, I basically built a workshop/refuge with everything I need. When I have friends over, we basically hang out in there. It's a finished concrete floor (think garage floor) and seating is adirondack chairs, office chairs, camping chairs, etc...The office chairs were on their way to Goodwill, but faux leather and casters is too good to pass up. Easy to clean sawdust off of and rolls like a dream. Here's a couple picks I had on my phone (was in the middle of a project, so it's a mess and the phone camera leaves a lot to be desired) While a bar is nice, if you can combine the space with something else you enjoy, it may be worth your time. My buddy who homebrews basically has a mini-brewery and the way he set it up is about as comfortable a sany pub I've been in.

Here's our two. Both from shelters. Vet's best guess on the left (Willow) is German Shepard/Greyhound mix. Pictures really don't show it, but she's ripped (her abs make me ashamed of myself) and the squirrls in the yard fear for their lives. I'm sure my wife is sorry for the shark outfit. The right one is Riley. Pit/Lab mix. Obvious pit features with a lab coat...and swims like a fish. I've had dogs my entire life and have never seen a more people oriented dog. The Pom at the top is Copper. My wife (then girlfriend) got him back in '96. Unfortunately had to put him down a few months ago when he had a stroke.... but he had a full life and completely changed my opinion of small dogs. The cat in the pic is Ivan. He's twenty pounds of P.O.'d kitty and my money's on him over the dogs if anyone ever broke into our house]
