Postgame Thread Bills Redskins
wvbillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d like to see at least one catchable ball before we write him off as someone who can’t track the ball. Two shots in two consecutive weeks that were under thrown. Granted this week Dawkins got walked into Joshs lap on the throw. -
Postgame Thread Bills Redskins

McKenzie is a difference maker. Foster can be as well if josh can stop under throwing him. He over throws everyone buy Foster. keep Foster active every week. Love the commitment to the run. That’s the kind of team I want to see. Commit to the run. Even tho it was predictable. Offensive line play was not very good today. Run defense is still a concern. Several times players where in position just didn’t make the play. -
Put Bills trade talks today here.

Schefter on espn staring at his phone saying nothing is happening. fine by me. Don’t mortgage the future -
I don’t know that I agree with that entirely. Our running backs are only averaging 17 carries a game. Agree with being predictable but I don’t think we are running the ball nearly enough with Gore and Singletary.

A Message of Calm from a Josh Allen Skeptic...
wvbillsfan replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems clear to me what they are trying to do. I could be completely off base but Josh Allen is dropping back 40 times a game. Usually 30 something pass attempts with a few scrambles in there. I think they want him to get as many looks as they can and see what he’s got and how much he can develop this year. Sure they want to win but Daboll and McDermott can’t be so stubborn as to say we are only going to run the ball 15 times a game with our running backs. Our oline is built to maul people and we aren’t even attempting to do that. So I gotta think from a coaches perspective Josh Allen’s develop is the most important aspect of this season. -
The optimistic side of the loss...nothing lost
wvbillsfan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s the NFL almost every team has one of these games a year. Eagles played well. It’s not like they are a nobody. They beat the Packers and have been in every game but the cowboys game. Their weakness was helped by the weather today. Let’s beat Washington and get to 6-2 -
Our next 4 games are very winnable
wvbillsfan replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every year since McDermott has been here the defense has laid a couple clunkers every year. he will get it figured out and we will win 3 of the next 4. -
How do we fix the run defense?
wvbillsfan replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blitz a lot more. Front four isn’t getting it done. We can cover on the back end. -
Defense needs to get some turnovers

We need to bring the blitz. We can cover on the back end. -
Is Tremaine Edmunds the answer at MLB?
wvbillsfan replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes he’s the answer. Like most linebackers if you have dts that can keep him clean he will make the plays. Bad game from him and Milano tho. -
We have an identity. We throw the ball short to intermediate. Sprinkle in the run so it doesn’t look like it’s a madden game with all passes. Im personally not a fan of our OC. But it’s clear we win or lose with Josh Allen. We aren’t trying to hide him at all.

Not that I expected him to say anything differently but we were running the ball effectively and chose to stop doing so Which is a reoccurring theme with Daboll -

You aren’t built to play in Buffalo if you can’t run the ball and stop the run. -
Joe B Observations on Bills win over Phins
wvbillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not sugar coating it. He still gave up catches but it’s very similar to when Tre has his “bad” game. With Tre is was because we were in zone. With Levi it’s because we played man. We have no idea what the defensive assignments were with the exception of a few twitter accounts that are saying what something looks like. I stand by my original argument. Levi was right there in every pass but the deep ball. How do we know that he wasn’t told to keep everything in front of him and let Fitzpatrick make the mistake. We don’t have enough information to make a snap judgment with a simple statement like “Levi was getting toasted” -
Joe B Observations on Bills win over Phins
wvbillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t get the Levi Wallace blurb. I wouldn’t call it a bad game. He gave up a deep ball but on every other pass he was in the WRs hip pocket. Those Miami wrs just used their size. I’ not sure how good Zach Brown is anymore but he’s got to be better than Mo Alexander. Alexander looked lost. Lost in a way that he didn’t even know where to line up or what his responsibility was. Hard to play that way. My biggest takeaway from this game....get well soon Matt -
Postgame: Dolphins 21 at Bills 31
wvbillsfan replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you guys are looking for pretty wins this isn’t the team or coach for you. We grind out wins and make plays when we need to. Could we be better, absolutely. Will we get better, the arrow seems to be pointing up. I’ll take the win and hope Allen hits a deep pass. Go Bills -
When is Allen going to have "that game", and do you care?
wvbillsfan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t care as long as he wins. However he will have that game when he hits a deep ball or two. Our wrs other than McKenzie aren’t going to do much after the catch. -
Daboll's Forward Handoff: Spreading throughout the league?
wvbillsfan replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Started by Dana Holgerson at WVU. Posted about it in the thread earlier. Wasn’t going to say anything else about it but I can’t sit by while the pats get credit for something they didn’t do. They aren’t this great franchise everyone builds them up to be. They have a culture full of cheaters and have been caught numerous occasions. Can we stop putting them on a pedestal? -

Shaq Lawson - maybe a keeper?
wvbillsfan replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate paying guys that do nothing until their contract year. I let him walk and say thank you. -
I don’t mind Beasley at all he just doesn’t really offer anything after the catch. Same with Brown. McKenzie is exactly the type of guy we need to get our offense rolling. Put the ball in his hands and big plays happen. Here’s hoping Daboll reads the message board
