Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
wvbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point I would rather the game gets postponed. League has to stop the spread from reaching multiple teams. -
Excited to see what he can do. Vegas doesn’t have a lot of outside weapons

I’ve got a parlay Bills -3 ML Ravens ML Rams 40 to win 101

Agree I think we get it straightened out soon. There is a harmony in defense that all 11 guys need to be linked that doesn’t necessarily exist on offense. Offensively if a running back takes a play off after doing a play action fake he may be able to get away with it. We’ve heard of wrs taking running plays off. Oline misses a block qb can bail them out. Offensively you don’t have to be perfect in today’s NFL if your qb is on. Defensively I think it’s a different story. You can’t take a play off or a good QB or coach will find and exploit it. You can’t miss an assignment or the same thing can happen. While our defense is mostly intact from last year our front four saw some pretty big changes. Yes we’ve added talent but that talent has to work together to play well. You might not think Shaq and Phillips were better players, maybe they were, maybe they weren’t, but they knew how to execute their assignments without thinking about them. I don’t know that our front four is there yet. Which can have an effect on how our back 7 is playing.

Clearly, Kroft should start at tight end now
wvbillsfan replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know I feel more confident with Kroft to make the easy normal routine catch. But Knox always makes those wow he caught that plays. There is room for both -
ESPN's Dan Orlovsky Making Case for Allen MVP
wvbillsfan replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And to your point that narrative is out there amongst voters now. Keyshawn made a good point when he said Josh has an uphill climb because Wilson came into this year with momentum based off the zero votes factoid and Wilson has done nothing but throw gas on the fire with his play. Josh Allen might not be MVP this year but his play so far puts him in the conversation. I’m more than OK with that. -
Last year we saw teams dare us to throw the ball against man coverage, specifically cover 1 and cover 0 looks. I specifically remember driving to attempt a comeback against Baltimore and they just sent the house and played man coverage. We didn’t have an answer. I don’t have the numbers last year vs this year on percentage on man coverage (I’ll try to dig that up in the morning) So far this year it seems to be a different story. On the comeback today Rams looked like they were in a zone on several of our big plays on the winning drive. We’ve upgraded our talent and figured out a screen game to give defense pause. I’m not sure a team can play man on us across the board. Miami tried and paid for it. On a game winning drive I’ve got a lot of confidence in our team because it’s not as simple as send the house and play man across the board anymore. The trade for Diggs and stealing Gabe Davis has unlocked Josh Allen. It feels great to win games with our offense when the defense lets down. Rant over. Go Bills!!!!

I really think we will turn it around on defense. We’ve started slow before with McDermott as OP stated and then turned it around. Too much talent to believe that won’t be the case again this year. we know what this defense can do. We’ve seen it against some good teams over McDermotts tenure.

Unpopular take here...Tre is playing very meh
wvbillsfan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll agree. He hasn’t looked all pro by any means. But I’ll continue to bet on him and our defense. We will get better in that regard. I have no doubt in my mind -
Gameday Thread Bills vs. Rams 2nd Half
wvbillsfan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Regardless of what happens in this game. It’s a long season but our defense needs to get it together. Too much talent on that side of the ball to play this way. No pressure on the qb is a big reason for our problems today. Some miscommunication on the back end. I would love to know why the middle of the field is wide open this season -
Awesome video his mechanics still look off. I’m no qb guru but still doesn’t look like he’s rotating his hips off the front leg. What he’s doing works for him. That’s all that matters. Great time to be a Bills fan

Colts. I think they also have the biggest point spread around -11. I don’t like anything the jets have going for them.

Anybody surprised at the lack of running thus far?
wvbillsfan replied to DCofNC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really. I think we were talking last year about how we need to run the ball more. At this point Daboll has shown that he’s going to give the ball to Josh win or lose. When we do run tho I’d love to see more motor. He always seems to find a hole -
Week 2 Bills @ Dolphins PreGame Thread

Doesn’t it always den like it’s fitzmagic against us tho. Dude makes me nervous -
Right side of OL week two
wvbillsfan replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I must’ve watched a different game. I thought it was fine. Jets loaded the box and sent 5 people or more consistently. I’ve got no problem with the blocking or game plan. Would’ve like to see Allen run less. But at this point it’s what we do and I’m ok with it. -
Bills have weapons to be elite offense
wvbillsfan replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the missing piece to that list is Andy Reid. That man has coached really good offenses throughout his career regardless of his QB. -
Moss on GMFB (Moss Mode) & 10 minute draft video
wvbillsfan replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did he sign yet? I don’t think we are allowed to like him until he signs -
Another thing on this completion percentage If it’s 3rd down the ball is going past the sticks and I freakin love that about Allen. A lot of NFL qbs take the check down and punt. One even slid on 4th and 1 or 2. Give me the guy that understands it’s third down or fourth down.

I’m not worried about Josh until he stops improving. We can talk drops, lack of the long ball, he was the third most pressured qb in the NFL, weapons, etc etc wash rinse and repeat. He looked better last year than he did the year before. Let’s see if he can repeat that. If he does......look out NFL

Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy on Jake Fromm
wvbillsfan replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every time I’ve seen this guy he looks like he’s throwing with all arm. No real torque or rotation in his lower half to generate velocity not a qb guru at all but something doesn’t look right when he throws. -
P Dustin Colquitt Released by KC
wvbillsfan replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I assumed they released him cause they didn’t punt last year and plan to follow that blueprint this year since it worked so well. -
Beane post-draft conference calls/interviews
wvbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane has a trade worked out with an nfc team 3 or 4 spots ahead but the player was taken before that pick Bryan Edwards fits that scenario in round 3. Cowboys four spots ahead of us. Edwards goes to the raiders the pick before -
Going to sound negative here Not the biggest fan of the draft. We needed speed at skill positions and I don’t see it We are obviously trying to build a tough rugged type of team and I respect that. But speed plays. Look how the Chiefs beat people. Yes they got Mahomes but their wrs and running backs are always ripping off game changing plays by getting behind people. We got productive players on the collegiate level. I get that part of it. And I understand you want production. But Allen’s strength isn’t long sustained drives yet. He’s best when he creates. And I’d like to see that with more speed on the field from this draft class Hopefully Diggs is the answer to that problem
