  1. It's different today. People have access to a wide variety of sports. All sports seasons are extended. But overall I think the biggest factor is that now there are more sources of entertainment and not just sports. ?
  2. Zay was a 2nd not 1st rounder and you can't hit every pick. Also I'd be interested to know of the 2nd round or later WRs that are currently WR1 on any team.
  3. Not just the NFL but all sports have been copying the WWE model for some time now. They just run 'entertaining' stories and interviews while making generic statements. No one dives into actual play and schemes anymore (Romo is the exception I think). IMHO the sporting world is a dying industry. It's oversaturated and overstated. ?
  4. Why not just draft a young WR then? Cheap and a proven process guy. I'd rather buy a new Honda than an old Cadillac. ?
  5. Yes but start the team on the 50 or their own 40. ?
  6. In my football watching tenure, I've never seen an OT perform as poorly as Ford has at Tackle and turn out to be a good/great tackle. But hey I'm no coach or scout. With that said Ford has turned out to be a very good guard in the moments he has played that position- so maybe all is not lost. ?
  7. When predicting season records always factor in the AFC North game that ends up in a tie.
  8. Showing up in a Brinks truck and constantly going out of your way to talk trash on opposing QBs (GQ article) makes you a head case and a me first type of guy=bad guy. In other words he is a Rex Ryan guy. ?
  9. Yes out of those players he would cost the least but he is also the least needed out of that list. Oh and Ramsey should just be taken off that list- not a process guy. ?
  10. Does anyone in the league currently represent this description? You are basically asking for a poor mans caviar. ?
  11. And Gore?? Averaging over 5 yards per carry you want to just not play him this year? Ingram and Kamara are no longer together so give me a current situation in the league that justifies this waste of money. How about we pay guys that have actually performed well on our own team before we go and overpay for a player we don't need in a postion that is the not very valuable. ? Let's sureup the foundation then and fix the right side of the line. No need signing a skill position player when they need the line to function first. ?
  12. Yes but they are the least valuable part of a team. I'd rather have a stud punter than a Melvin Gordon (good but not great). I'd also rather have an accurate kicker than a Melvin Gordon. ? ??? And what do we do with Gore and Singletary? Whether its cut, trade or split touches, all three do not justify paying top 10 rb money ( he was asking for top 3). Peoples obsession with RBs is so dated. ?
  13. True, but why give up a 3rd round pick to rent a player for 12 games. And NO! I don't want to sign another RB to a bloated contract. The RB position is arguably the easiest position to replace and least valuable position in football right now. ?
  14. My 'sources' are telling me it's Trent Williams... ?
  15. Agree with everything except for the Yeldon part. Mr. Fumbles should not be running the ball.
  16. Honestly I'm all for a heavy pass strategy. They should be done with Rex Ryan ball. You have a young QB and in order for him to grow and get better he has got to throw the ball and make reads- he can't do this if he is handing the ball off 80% of the time. ?
  17. With Gruden gone and the team at its lowest point I'd say we could get hom for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  18. At least we have a 2 week bye to get healthy. ?
  19. No. It means expecting 21 points from a backup QB like Barkley is reasonable. ?
  20. Gardner Minshew just played the Titans, his team scored 20 points.... ?
  21. Literally the average in the league is 21 points per game. Asking the backup QB to lead an average offensive attack is pretty normal... on the other hand expecting above average play from a backup QB is asinine. ?
  22. I'd like to see a tie. I dislike both teams, although I do like Kyle Shanahan. Well looks like the 49ers are not playing, but both NFC teams I loath are. I'd choose the Seahawks over any LA team.
  23. Back up QB in. What are you expecting? How many times has Buffalo gotten over 21 this year? My expectations are built upon history and actual numbers. What are your expectations built upon, Unicorns and Leprechauns? ?
  24. Most recent I'd say Darby( can never have too many CBs) Sub rescent Jason Peters- top 10 OL of the past 10 years easily. All time Bruce Smith Bonus- Player I wish never signed with the Bills Chris Kelsey- The epitamy of the team the past 20 years. On a side note one of my personal favorites was always Nate Clements or Antoine Winfield ( I love me some DBs) ?
  25. Totally get it but again I think this obsession with the 3rd WR is just dumb. This is not a priority but the way this board reacts makes it seem like Zay is our WR1. ?
