  1. It must suck for you living in the most liberal state in the US. But that's irony for you. My French wife and all our happily married gay friends say hi.
  2. Talk about fairweather fans, man. Pre-1993, they were all Giants fans, then became Pats fans when Parcells became coach. With the Pats spiralling into the crapper, and the rise of the Giants again, it's time for those Pats "fans" to head down to their basements, and up to their attics, and dust off those Giants flags, and Taylor and Simms jerseys.
  3. Way to set some pretty unrealistic goals. Is it any wonder she's still single?
  4. "Doing" something for the "team" in the long run is playing your first round pick to get him much-needed experience when you know this season is not going to result in a playoff appearance. Sticking with a nine year career backup QB just to win a few games is placating veterans and trying to save your own job. Edit: Great minds, Ganesh. Great minds....
  5. I've seen worse. Hell, I've done worse. Sounds to me that this is just payback. Somebody didn't get paid, and now they are just flexing their muscles.
  6. I don't know who this Riter fellow is, but this post is awesome.
  7. If it's easy for you to catch Sparky's "touch pass" ( ), then it's pretty freaking easy for a professional DB to pick him off, too. But that would mean it would have to travel at least 7 yards, and we know there's no chance in hell of that happening. Touch pass!
  8. He's a 32 year old, nine year veteran who has started 17 games, and appeared in 30. How has he not had his chance? How has this hidden gem been screwed out of shining on the field? The answer to everyone who isn't in a cult is that he has had his chance, repeatedly, and he's shown that he's just not good enough to be a #1 QB. Somebody call Steve Hassan.
  9. Somebody should notify the NFL about this huge discrepancy in their official game stats. Buff/NE game stats He's in there...you kind of have to scroll down a ways to see his defensive impact on the game. But he's in there. For real.
  10. So, according to the people that award this thing, not a single defensive player in the NFL Sunday did better, or had a bigger impact, than Hero's 2 tackles and 5 coy-wires. I am astounded. Astounded.
  11. Very clever (perhaps I'll change it to "Sparky sucks" just for you), but it doesn't take away from the fact that you are tilting at windmills. You are telling me, that out of all the scouts and player evaluation people that actually get paid to analyze position players in the NFL, that after nine years, you and a select few dreamers have discovered something that no other professional has. No other professional involved in the NFL in nine years. You actually believe that there is an "upside" to keeping Holcomb in there. That is just nuts, man. Nuts.
  12. Jesus! For crying out loud man, your boy Sparky has been in the league for nine years! Nine freaking years! He is what he is. He's not going to improve. He's not going to be anything more than a career backup QB. He's not leading anybody to the playoffs or a superbowl. My god, man. You do know you are talking about about Kelly Holcomb, right? Kelly Holcomb!?!?!?!?!
  13. Since when is "clutch" defined by 3 points in 38 minutes against Miami, and 3 points in 35 minutes against NE? I think someone has mistaken the definition for "clutch" with that of "pathetic".
  14. Formerly known as "Warner's Thumb".
  15. Dude, he GAVE him a vessel from his own body...right there on the sidelines, and was back in for the next series.
  16. Repo Man is probably the greatest movie of all time. Oly: Oh, yeah, you're f--kin' A right we ripped your car, !@#$. You want to know who told us where it was? Your god-damned brother.
  17. Sorry, my bad, meant game 9. They were 3-5 last year headed into NE, and Losman could have started that game (which they lost). I still stand by my statement, and how I felt last year at this time. They weren't a playoff team last year, and they aren't this year.
  18. You're not in the minority, PTR. I think the switch to JP should have been made in wek 8 last year, and I think he should have started every game since. Those two Holcomb-inspired victories were a mirage. Losman would have won both those games.
  19. I think the record would be the same. Remember, with Sparky Holcomb at QB, they scored a grand total of 3 points in 38 minutes against Miami (they were up by 17 early, but that game had no business ending 20-14) and scored 3 points in 35 minutes against a crappy, on-the-ropes NE defense. Sparky came into that NO game for the whole fourth quarter and did less-than-nothing in that game as well. IMO, the record would be the same.
  20. Looks pretty hot. Loved the movie, too. Pretty tame and campy by today's standards, but a great flick none-the-less. I recall seeing it on TV again a few years ago, on TNT or TBS...some kind "Trailer Park Cinema" thing with some guy named Bob sitting in a lawnchair drinking beer. During the breaks he had a map of the NYC subway system, and was detailing the route they took, and why their route sucked because they could have taken a more direct train...I don't know. I remember it was pretty cool. Then again, I remember a lot of things as being cool that probably weren't. Who the hell are you to judge me?
  21. Since when is a tin shack in the woods an apartment complex?
