  1. Very nice work, Campy. Try passing The Treaty of Tripoli nowadays with that exact wording. There would be a freaking riot in the House of Representatives.
  2. I'd like to see Tedy Bruschi die. And Bill Simmons...I'd really like to see him dead. Oh, and Curt "small man, big mouth" Schilling. Wow, there's almost too many to list.
  3. 1. Stop posting specifics about your case, or presumed case, on a public sports messageboard. 2. See a reputable lawyer and let them work directly with the hospital. If you do have a case, you do not want to do something that could interfere with it, or impact it in any way. 3. Stop posting specifics about your case, or presumed case on a public sports messageboard.
  4. OoH! I've almost got Cap'n Crunch through the maze...watch out for the pirates...around the school of magical seahorses...I've done it! Praise God!
  5. Bullsh-t. The bible is a religious text..a collection of stories and parables based around christian teachings. It is no more a scientific text than a box of cheerios is.
  6. There's a couple threads on this page, about half way down, that go on and on arguing my position. The people that have the weakest argument are the creationists. We've been through this many times. Creationism is not science, has no basis in actual science, and is based largely on unprovable "facts" consisting mostly of faith and some act of an invisible "devine" hand. There is nothing even remotely close to science in it at all.
  7. Is that site a joke? For the last freaking time. Creationism is NOT SCIENCE!!!! There is nothing scientific about your bible. Nothing.
  8. Kelly, I f-cking hate you. You said you had to work then whys your car HERE at HER place?? You're a f-cking LIAR. I hate you. I f-cking hate you. Johnny P.S. page me later
  9. No doubt. Us married guys are on the edge of our seats.
  10. The streak continues... Cedric Benson left yesterday's game (knee) and is getting an MRI today . Next up, Greg Jones. The lines are: 3-1 Knee 5-1 Ankle 8-1 Ribs (10-1 if they also puncture a lung) 15-1 Total paralysis
  11. Can we finally end this Holcomb era, now?
  12. Still doesn't absolve Mularkey for that call. Dude should lose his job for that call.
  13. I wouldn't say he was ignorant of basic science. I would say he has a contempt for science. I'm not alone apparently, because there are over 8,000 signatures of other concerned scientists on a petition from February 2004. Here's a NYTimes article from September of this year: NYT Article (9/2005): Is the Bush Administration anti-science? (you'll need to log in) Here's the link to the Feb 2004 USC letter, and it's now 8,000 signatures: Restoring Scientific Integrity in Policymaking Excerpt: ...with a link to a list of the more prominent signatories....Signatories I doubt any of these esteemed gentlemen would ever be accused of belonging to the Tin-foil hat crowd. Here's an amazon link to the reviews of Chris Mooney's book "The Republican War on Science" Amazon review of The Republican War on Science, Chris Mooney Scroll down for the review from Scientific American: So, does Bush dislike scientists and science because they make him feel stupid, or is he (and his administration) undermining and contorting science to support his/their own agenda? I would say the latter, of course.
  14. That's great. Ahhh, Pabst Blue Ribbon. I curse you and worship you at the same time.
  15. Doesn't surprise me. The show was brilliant, and therefore way over the heads of programming execs. It probably only made it this far because they didn't want to piss off Ron Howard. The same thing happened with Freaks and Geeks, another great show. The actors from that series are freaking everywhere. I, as you, hope HBO picks it up. You are dead-on, it would go great back-to-back with Curb.
  16. And... The love-child of the Ella-Edmund fling grew up to be none-other-than Patrick Fitzgerald, who just prosecuted G. Gordon Lightfoot "scooter" Libby.
  17. Early on, everyone was wondering why real scientists didn't want to debate these nuts. One reason was actually taking the time to defend evolution against creationism would legitimise it. Another is scientists would be debating using actual facts, and creationists wouldn't. When the drone from conservatives, fundamentalists, etc. got loud enough, and when it looked like some idiots in Kansas would actually put it in the curriculum, they chose to respond. Scientists quickly found out what they had known all along...that you can't debate with a nut.
  18. Bingo. Say hello to the fundamentalist behind the curtain.
  19. All the polls on this that have been put up recently on this board indicate that a pretty overwhelming majority wants to ride out the season with JPL and play for the future. I didn't want to see him pulled at all. But, like last season at this time, the Candy Cane Mountain, Gum Drop Lane types think we're on a playoff run.
