  1. Both Cinci and Denver are playing for a first round bye. I think Cinci puts the hammer down because Denver gets a soft Oakland team as the 4:15 game. They need the win so I'm expecting a blowout to the tune of 35-6.
  2. I heard that the US was actually going to pursue an extradition to have him stand trial in the US. He's apparently in Lebanon, now, and they are talking with the Lebanese government about turning him over.
  3. It's certainly failed in South America. Leftist shift in South America
  4. It took five years, but it looks like Dubya really is a unifier, and not a divider.
  5. In my dream, Matt Leinhart, Buddy Hackett and I are running through a park in Santa Rosita looking for a big “W”. I can’t tell you why we are there, or why we have shovels, but the whole thing is in crystal clear Ultra Panavison.
  6. He also could have been the winning QB of record for the two home games against Miami and the Jets, had he played. I always felt that it was foolish to bench him with those two games coming up. Yes, the TB game was ugly, but the ATl game was pretty close, except for the 236 rushing yards Vick-Dunn-Duckett put up ( ). The Saints beat us when they still had McCallister (130 yards ). That being said, the next three games were against bottom-feeders, and would have been great games to get JP back on track. What could have been....
  7. Bush doesn't wear enough Flair during his press conferences. If he wore more Flair, I'd order more of his WMD pie. But he's not. So I'm not buying it. His pie.
  8. Oakland was on the ropes, too, sporting a 1-4 record. There was no excuse for that game. None. Jordan ran for 122 yards and 3 TDs. Jesus...the horror.
  9. The Oakland loss was the nail in the coffin for this season. If they had beaten Oakland on the road, then they would have had a chance to go into NE with a 4-3 record with a win on the road and momentum, then even if they lost they would go into the bye 4-4. They choked, went into NE 3-4 on their way to 3-5...season over. They've won one game since...KC after the bye.
  10. Sounds like your corrugated tin shack is picking up an old Edward R Murrow broadcast.
  11. I would think Ashlee Simpson would be a far more entertaining train wreck to watch for than a crazy woman who has no credability.
  12. They're not talking about casting a wide net and trolling for intel. Both Bush and Gonzo have said it is used on suspected individuals. MSNBC Link If that's the case, it would seem pretty easy to get a warrant within 72 hours, because they appear to have a pretty specific and narrow range of targeted individuals. Unless, of course, they are lying. But we know that would never be the case with this administration, which has restored honor and integrity to the Executive Branch.
  13. My thoughts exactly. Here we have a law that basically allows them to do whatever-the-hell-they want, provided they get a warrant at some point over the next three days. It doesn't have to be in their hands when they start, it just has to be granted in three days. But for whatever reason, this administration feels the need to go into triple-secret-decoder-ring mode, laws, seperation of powers, and constitution be damned, and not bother to get what they could have if they'd only ask. Power grab indeed.
  14. So, if that is indeed the case, why have any civil liberty constraints on the Executive Branch at all if they deem the other two branches of power to be security risks? Just about every action this administration takes could be deemed an action in the interests of national security with regards to the GWOT, and therefore not answerable to any laws. Where is the line drawn if they are going to shout "9-11" at every constitutional roadblock?
  15. Ambiguity between criminal law and national security aside, I still don't see any reason to not file the warrant. File the warrant and there is no legal/illegal/non-legal issue at all. It smacks of arrogance.
  16. Requiring to file for a warrant within 72 hours does not prohibit from acting on that info. They don't need a warrant to stop an event, they just need a warrant to make stopping that event legal after-the-fact, no?
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't even need the warrant ahead of time. They just have to obtain one within 72 hours. How, then, is the security of the US endangered? What could their reasons possibly be for getting around this?
  18. Oakland game. If they beat Oakland on the road then they have a chance to go into NE with a 4-3 record with a win on the road and momentum, then even if they lost they would go into the bye 4-4. They choked, went into NE 3-4 on their way to 3-5...season over. They've won one game since...KC after the bye.
  19. I hate those "D"-"cardboard fence" things people hold up. I'd do away with the whole "John 3:16" thing, too. That's been bugging me for a while.
  20. Of course it's illegal, and of course they all knew it was illegal. I still don't see why they couldn't use the legal route, anyway, other than their own arrogance. They don't even have to have a warrant up front, just within 72 hours. It makes no sense. And now W wants to find out who leaked the info. Wonder if he'll try harder finding this leak than he did trying to find the Plame leak?
