Open letter to Bush on Church and State
Johnny Coli replied to SJ Bills backer's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And I'm getting sick of responding to this line of thinking. Ofiba, if for some crazy, bizzarro reason that in 2020 both incest AND polygamy have made it into mainstream America, and they aren't bothering me, and the incestos (I have no idea what to call this make-believe constituency), then I, Johnny Coli will in fact fight for their civil rights. Are you happy? Can I just go to hell now? -
Open letter to Bush on Church and State
Johnny Coli replied to SJ Bills backer's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I read this post like 5 times, then walked away and read it another 5 times to make sure what it was I was reading. Then I looked at a calender to make sure it was 2004. This has gone on for 10 pages now. We're now debating whether we should have a literal interpretation of the bible about working on Sunday. Look, if you want to live by the teachings of the Bible, that's great. I was raised a Catholic, I sort of know where you are coming from. My Mom is devout, my brother is a minister in his church in Seattle, my sister-in-law is Born-again. Our great country lets you practice your religion without prejudice. But the Bible is not the law of the United States. You can talk about morality all you want, but that is just your interpretation of how to live YOUR life. I don't read the bible or go to church, and I know I can't name all 10 commandments. I follow my own sense of right and wrong, and quite frankly, I think I'm a pretty decent guy. Far be it from me to tell you how to live your life, and as long as I abide by the laws of this contry, far be from you to tell me, or anyone else for that matter, how to live theirs. Gay people just want to get married. That's it. They don't want to rule the world...they don't want to make you gay...they don't want to turn your children gay. They are gay because that is how God, their God and yours, made them. God put them on this planet. They are just like me and you, only they don't have the same sexual preference as me and you. Time to set your clocks ahead. It's 2004. -
He wasn't there when The Boss hired Boomer the last time either. I believe that contract was written on a cocktail napkin. You either love him or hate him, but The Boss ALWAYS gets what he wants. If he wants Petey, he'll get him. As a Yankee fan, I hate Pedro...and I don't mean "hate" like a fan hates a player from another team, I mean true hate. I hated Rocket, too. Doesn't matter, though, if it will end our 5 year championship drought. Welcome the Bronx, Pedro. You don't know it yet, but you're already a Yankee.

Needless to say......I think it might get
Johnny Coli replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riots usually lead to looting. If there's any music stores close by the stadium, could someone toss a brick through a window and grab a guitar for me? Preferably a Les Paul Custom? That would be awesome. Thanks in advance. -
Not real excited about having Losman
Johnny Coli replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We traded a first round pick for Losman. If he can't come in after one year of sitting on the bench and "learning" and ELEVATE this corpse of an offense to at least the level of MEDIOCRITY, than what does that say about the pick? How hard is it to hand off to McGahee 25 times to set up a pass to Moulds/Evans/Reed or Campbell? When do you take the risk on this kid? Training camp? Next season? Or do you find out what you have in-house right now? -

no,no,no,no,no.....The Bills gave a first round pick up to get a QB in last years draft, to have him here THIS year. We have a "veteran" in house now (heavy sigh). Play the dude right freaking now, and you minimize his "growing pains" for next year. This season is DONE, OVER, ADIOS. If he is healthy enough to mop up a blow out, he is healthy enough to start, especially against the #29 defense in the NFL at home. Why wait any longer? It doesn't make any sense. -
Please come to your senses
Johnny Coli replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not start him this week? The game is at home. The Rams have the #29 defense in the NFL. What is one more week of waiting going to do? Why would you wait until the Seattle game on the road? This week presents a perfect opportunity for him. At home against a crappy D, team needs a spark, fans need a spark. Why wait? -
who else turned it off at halftime?
Johnny Coli replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There it is. You know, guys like Mularkey and Donahoe don't care about what happens to the fans in other towns. We wear our colors with pride no matter what the teams record is, no matter that we dissagree with personnel moves, or who the QB is. We can't help it. We get spit on, screamed at, sometines we get the crap kicked out of us, just because we love the Bills. We're not in the safe confines of western NY. They just don't have a clue as to what it's like on the "outside." -
This was The Big Game for Drew. The biggest game of his Buffalo Bills career. National telecast against his former team. Bills needing the win to keep any realistic playoff chances alive. The QB of the future looking on from the sidelines. This was his chance to expell any and all personal demons and doubts in his ability. And he blew it. That's it. Plain and simple. He had a unique chance to quiet his critics, and he just confirmed what they all said. He's done. I feel bad for him, because he seems like a decent guy. But he had one more chance to shine and he didn't. It's time to move on.

Can we start a whiner line forum?
Johnny Coli replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
35 bucks ain't too shabby for an offensive lineman. We're paying millions for five guys to basically do what that inflatable dude does...stand there and let stuff blow by...leaves, small animals, defensive linemen. -
Can we agree it's time to start Losman?
Johnny Coli replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bledsoe experiment is over. There should NEVER ever be a Shane Matthews era. There is zero, zilch, nada, any reason to not start JP. This St. Louis game, at home, is a gift-wrapped intro for the kid. Who cares if they lose? The best possible scenario would be a balls-out shoot-out. Let JP prepare as the STARTING QB, all freaking week. Wow, I'm getting really fired up for this St. Louis game. -
Anyone who plays against the Pats.
-
1. Tripped 2. Fumbled 3. Tossed it anyway 4. All of the above

Turned a nightmare into an 11 yard gain.

Great Game last night Willis!
Johnny Coli replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They should get used to it, because every coordinator in the league is going to do that to them until the Bills can make them pay for stacking the box. It didn't take a defensive "genius" to figure that out. The real disaster was not doing anything about it during halftime when you're supposed to adjust your gameplan. -
Great Game last night Willis!
Johnny Coli replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats keyed on Willis from the first whistle. He had no help from the line, and less than zero help from the passing game. Once they were behind by 13, it was over. He actually turned a blown up play (the non-toss back to Bledsoe) into an 11 yard gain. That was totally heads up, and very encouraging. Henry would have tossed it anyway, or tripped, or fumbled... -
There is absolutely no sane reason to start Bledsoe ever again for this team. None. Talk about playoffs is delusional, and embarrassing. I see no downside to starting JP. Worried about him getting hurt? He was already hurt. Worried about him looking bad? He already looked pretty bad. Let the kid get good. You don't get good standing on the sideline "learning" from watching an incompetent has-been. They are playing St. Louis at home. Now would be the perfect time.

They should have given out the gameballs with no air in them. -
who else turned it off at halftime?
Johnny Coli replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, I feel for you Sean-O. Did they start a "Yankees suck" chant? It's always a joy to walk out of there with a loss, and a serenade. If your lucky, you even get stuff thrown at your car. Sort of completes the whole evening. -
Why do the Bills give out game balls
Johnny Coli replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's kind of like when you "tip" a stevestojantty waiter 25 cents on a $65 dollar dinner bill. It's an insult more than anything. I didn't forget to tip you, you just suck. -
Competitive? We got annihilated/embarrassed/schooled in front of a national audience. Matthews will do nothing to tip the scales in our favor as far as being competitive. The Bills need to think about next year right freaking now. Why wait? What difference does it make if we win a game with Shane Matthews as QB right now?

The Start Shane Matthews thread!
Johnny Coli replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Putting him in last night was a recipe for failure, but if it makes the kid put that much more effort into it this week, so be it. Start him at home. -

I live in Boston, too. The worst thing about this loss is that the people I work with didn't rip me this morning, they actually pitied me. I'm hung over, and completely numb.
