  1. There's no way they're letting people in with large, heavy, metal objects.
  2. I changed my avatar, but I'm not going any further than that. It's a pretty funny gag, but I hope it doesn't get to "Rally-Monkey"-type gayness.
  3. Just wondering how Sheppard was going to justify Brady's choke-job. I should have taped his and Smerlas' post-game show. I'm sure there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
  4. You listening to WEEI this afternoon EZC-B? I can't get it in the lab I work in. Dickerson and Holley sort of swept the loss under the rug this morning. I was curious as to how it was being covered on the Big Show.
  5. As much as I would love to see that Honest Abe was the original Log Cabin Republican, I don't think any fashion conscious gay man would be caught dead in that stupid hat and wearing that much black. The color is all wrong for a man that tall and thin. Also, his portraits suggest he had very poor complexion. Couldn't the leader of the free world get a facial once in a while? And that beard!?!?!......let's just say as a gay man Abbey needs a complete makeover.
  6. A fluke? Holy cow, you don't want one of those. "The young fluke then penetrates the liver tissues, through which it migrates, feeding on mainly on blood, for about six weeks. After this period the fluke enters the bile duct, maturing to the fully adult parasite after about 3 months after initial infection. Egg production then commences, completing the lifecycle." http://www.path.cam.ac.uk/~schisto/OtherFlukes/Fasciola.html
  7. I still say that if you're looking for street cred you go with the Ramones. Poojer's kids are way too young for Tupac, and Emo (shudder) will be way over their heads. I agree, Pink Floyd will get them beaten down, as will any "classic" rock.
  8. Ramones "Leave Home" or "Rocket to Russia". I'm being serious here. These are great, safe for kids, pop records. Very catchy, short, easy to listen to songs.
  9. This is going to sound completely insane, and I'm prepared for the oncoming beat-down, but it might be OK if the Jets beat the Paytoilets this week. We were already prepared for them getting in, and were geared up for the last wildcard spot anyway. Baltimore will lose to Indy, they'll be out. Denver could lose to Tenn or Indy, they'll be out. We all know the Jax scenarios. But another loss could set something in motion here in beantown...doubt. They haven't lost back-to-back games in a loooonnnggg time. With Weis leaving for ND, that could start the finger-pointing. One thing the NE media is good at is making something out of nothing, and beating it into the ground for weeks on end. It's probably unlikely, but the whispers are starting...
  10. Wonder when they start blaming this on Weise for accepting the ND job? It wasn't a factor in last nights choke-job, but someone has to take the blame eventually. Don't think for a second that this won't come up when the playoffs start.
  11. So true. Someone clearly blew an assignment.
  12. Nothing that Willis has done or said has suggested that he would be a player that would care about the 1000 yard mark. Either way, I can't see TD holding any benchmark incentive over his head. He'll get his money, and he'll hopefully get to run freaking wild in the playoffs.
  13. I get it, AD, I really do. There will always be whiners. I just don't think this will be an isolated incident. More letters to the editor will be getting published like this young man's letter, justified or not. I find it ironic that those who are most vocal about supporting the troops (no matter what) would be the most vocal in calling him out as a whiner at best, a coward at worst (not that anyone in this thread has used that phrase yet). I wonder how troop morale will be affected the more that this type of thing happens? The yellow ribbons are starting to fade...
  14. What do the infractions rules say about someone who gets tossed from a game? It would be one thing for a particularly egregious (sic?) personal foul and he stays in the game, which would probably warrent a fine. But he got tossed from the game. Should that mean a monetary fine AND a suspension?
  15. It must be very confusing to be that patriotic.
  16. Tough luck pal? "We need to support our troops, by God, because their morale depends on it." Unless, of course, they question why they are there, or mention that they want to come home after a year and their tour is technically over. Then it's tough sh--. Fug'em.
  17. I enjoy Rudi's posts. They're so depressing they're uplifting.
  18. Wow. A month and a half ago, if someone said we'd have a chance at going 4-4 on the road I would have called them insane...in-sane.
  19. I was watching the GB/Jax game yesterday and they put the names up for coaches that are in consideration for the Coach of the year award. I was shocked Mularkey wasn't even listed among the 5 or 6 they had on the graphic. It's like we're watching two completely different teams between the first and second halves of the season. Mularkey took a trainwreck, kept the players focused and the 0-4 Bills are in the playoff hunt with 2 games to go. He should get mad props for the turnaround.
  20. Living in Boston as well, I root for whoever plays the Pats. I'll root for the Dolphins, but I will feel dirty.
