I said it already in the other thread but it got deleted. It's too bad, because it was beautifull. Full of heart-felt sentiment. Now it's gone. Happy Birthday.

He's the last person that should be quoting Buddha, anyway. #6 - Pick a diet and stick with it.

My fiance's law office is right on Tremont, in Gov't center next to the old graveyard and the Omni Parker House. That's right on the parade route. She's pretty bummed.

I avoid the newspaper, sports radio, and local TV news broadcasts for at least a week. I'm not at work today. You just do what you can to minimize how much idiocy you come in contact with. The weather's not too bad here today, so they'll get a big turnout. They usually start a "Yankees Suck" chant. That's always a crowd pleaser. They're still getting used to the whole "winning" thing in this town. Their run of luck will eventually end. Then the parade of beers from my fridge to my liver will blow away any celebration these morons can come up with.

Genius. People, we are in the presence of a true genius. -
I've lived in Boston for 16 years now, and I can honestly say that I hate the Pats more now than when I moved here. One big reason is being in close proximity to all their "fans". Why you feel the need to post on a Bills board after having grown up a Dolphins fan, then devolved into a Pats fan is beyond my comprehension. From what I can see, you're only here to be a prick when either the Sox or Pats win. That's not being a fan, that's being a douche-bag.

You and wwvince are the same person, aren't you? You've both certainly got the hysterical/shrill post thing down. I picture you guys screaming at your monitors when you go into "Defend-the-Red-Sox-at-all-costs" mode. Jesus, the tone of your posts makes my dog leave the room.

Alaska Darin, this a relative of yours?

He's actually making PF look lucid, in comparison. -
Who else is wearing their Bills colors today?

I was at the MSPCA yesterday getting some pet food, and they have Brady Jerseys specifically made for dogs for sale. $20. I hate this town. I can't sit through another damn parade, I just can't. -

Well, he's certainly not winning any friends with his posts, nor is he winning any debate, if that's what you can call this abortion of a thread. I'm probably one of the more liberal members on this board, and you just have to know where, when, and what you pick your battles over. This had hands-off written all over it. -
What other message boards do you visit?

GaragePunk.com Kind of like TSW, but for punk rock. Forums are seperated by era, ie 60's garage/trash, 70s/early-80s, etc. They have some pretty decent regional forums for keeping up on whats going on in other parts of the country. Their SwapShop forum occasionally has some good out-of-print stuff. They have a politics board, too, but I think the people who post in the TSW PPP would freak out if they ever went there. Let's just say it's the polar opposite of conservative . I stay away from the politics board and stick with the music forums. -
They were the absolutely tightest live band of all time. Never, ever had a bad show. I have that record on a frame on my wall. I only play the CD.

Nice. Agree with the Heartbreakers and the Stooges choices. Johnny Thunders is a personal favorite of mine, and the Stooges, well what can you say. Metallic 2xKO has the extra tracks left off the KO release, including a haunting version of "Open up and Bleed." I'd add the Ramones-It's Alive, a two record set recorded on New Years eve 1977 in London...a record that everyone should own, Ramones fan or not. It pretty much showcases why they were the greatest live band of all time. Also, Lou Reed- Take No Prisoners, recorded at The Bottom Line, 1978. Lou is particularly on with his stage schtick in this one (his bantering with the crowd is hysterical) and the band is phenomenal. The versions of Satellite of Love and Coney Island Baby are the best I've heard...I want to play football for the coach...

I'll tell you one thing, he's never getting that wedding band off. His fingers look like smoked sausages. That is one out-of-shape ex-jock. Show some freaking pride Smerlas.
-
They look like pics from the last superbowl. If I recall, the idiot in the hat won some "Pats greatest fan" contest, and got to go. Smerlas looks like he weighs 300 pounds in that pic.

Richard Seymour out for the Pats

Your team is playing a divisional playoff game in 30 minutes and you're here...on a Bills messageboard...being annoying...and talking trash (!?!?!). Understand how incredibly dumb that is. And understand that when your team loses this afternoon that I will definatly be enjoying my "off season". -
I feel privileged to have seen him lose.
-
Guaranteed that the zebras will have some influence on this game. There will be a lot of beer cans thrown at TVs today. I love the phantom holding call that the Pats always seem to get when another team is driving on them. Wow, I'm already aggravated and the game is 7 hours away.

(OT) Worst Personnel Change To A Band
Johnny Coli replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll take a stab before dinner... Dee Dee Ramone "leaving" the Ramones. As a vastly underrated songwriter (ignoring his idiotic forays into rap as Dee Dee King), Dee Dee was a genius in crafting 120 second long trashy yet infectious pop songs, and still contributed to the band after he left. While I felt CJ was adequate as a replacement musician, the band's musical creativity suffered tremendously by the deletion of Dee Dee. Lou Barlow leaving Dinosaur Jr. While J and Murph continued to put out decent music (albeit really just the J Mascis show), and Lou went on to do Sebadoh (give me indy rock...uh, no thanks, Lou), I felt Dino Jr. needed the tension between J and Lou to keep its edge. Green Mind and subsequent records were listenable, but the intangibles that made Dino Jr a college radio hit were gone with the departure of Barlow. Fast Eddie Clarke leaving Motorhead. The legenday lineup of Lemmy, Philthy Phil, and Fast Eddie lasted for 5 years and recorded some of the greatest loud rock and roll ever put to vinyl. Fast Eddie left to form Fastway with Pete Way of UFO, and was replaced by Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy) for one record, then by the technically proficient Wurzel. While there were some bright points on later releases (Rock and Roll, 1918), Motorhead clearly took a musical nosedive without Clarke. I'm off for some thai food. -
Welcome to today's music industry. The only thing easier for them to market than a "ribbon on a turd", is the younger sister of a "ribbon on a turd". You make me wanna unh unh scream.

She's almost at the public spectacle/trainwreck stage. Instead of stopping her, we should be greasing the rails.

In a similar vein, the world's Hot Dog eating champion is nicknamed "The Tsunami". Keeping that name would be in poor "taste" I guess. -
Wondered that myself. They blow up a train to get it, then hand it off to a horny teenager to deliver the goods? Seems like a hell of a risk.

Can someone tell me something interesting?

Was that rock her first, or was she always getting rocks off before she settled down? -
Nah. Joe's more of an inspiration. Employee #: 003992461 Name: Joe Title: Regional Project Manager Status: Full time Hire Date: 09/22/1991 Infractions: 02/08/1995 – Level 1 Procedure Violation (File request form not filled out properly) 03/26/1998 – Level 2 Performance Violation (Client complaint – not returning calls) 12/12/1999 – Level 6 Conduct Violation (Suspected intoxication) He kind of looks hungover in his photo. Must be job stress. Why is drinking on the job a Level 6 violation, yet sleeping on the job is a Level 9?
