2nd annual Bills beating in Foxboro
Johnny Coli replied to Chalkie Gerzowski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stop it, man, just stop it. You know as well as we do the Bills have no shot in this game. We appreciate the faux pessimism and patronizing, but this game has all the makings of a bloodbath. With apologies to Shannon Sharpe, someone get FEMA on the line and get the relief trucks headed north. -
This game will be over by 9:00. Belicheck has had 2 weeks to prepare for a game in which he probably only needed an hour. Make no mistake...the beating will be severe. I would have loved to have been in the room with him when he watched MM and TC use Shelton on a 4th and goal. That is total comedy. I imagine he laughed so hard that milk squirted out of his nose, followed by a round of high-fives with the rest of his coaching staff.

But they're on a playoff run, man. The time is now. Moulds said so.

SDS: You should turn off the filters on game-day, my man. Ampersands and astericks just don't cut it.

Turkey Hill proud to sponser the game-ball play of the week....

The Bills managed to find the only person in the free world that would call Shelton's number in that situation.

I went with "D". I would also hire Lori, start Losman, and have Bill Simmons killed...in no particular order. -
Places in WNY to take an out-of-towner
Johnny Coli replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Out-of-towner" means something completely different to me, and I've been chuckling about it all afternoon since I saw your post. I didn't want to muck up your thread, but whatever, it's friday. My buddies and I go on a baseball trip every year, and it never fails that we get down to the hotel lobby to catch the limo to the game when... Hang on, lads. What, man, the freaking limo's here. I've got to take an out-of-towner. Now? Jesus, Kev, why couldn't you go upstairs, man? I didn't have to go when I was upstairs. Well, Christ, man. Hurry the hell up. -
Awesome . That is awesome!

Nope. I'm still in Beantown.

I couldn't agree more. He hasn't been funny or original in years. If he dropped dead tomorrow, I would not shed a tear. Nay, I would welcome his death not as a loss, but as a gain.

Money laundering and conspiracy charges are a total riot. In any other state that kind of yukking it up would be considered an affront to the court. But, then again, this is Texas. Just a couple of good'ole boys having fun, huh? Yippy-kai-yi-yay.

You hurt your back at work and you're worried about chiropracters? You should be more concerned with how your going to spend the next six glorious weeks milking workman's comp, guy. You just won the freaking lottery! Back injuries are almost impossible to diagnose correctly. Sweet fancy moses! And with the holidays coming up, too. Good for you, man.

I'm not sure what good Rohan Davey's insight into the offensive game plan would be, unless they're planning on lining up against Notre Dame.

I'd suggest they vote Democrat.

More Proof the Boston Sports Fans are Idiots

Bruins fans are classic. Did his pregnant girlfriend Sheila egg him on too? "Taw-mee! Kick hees ay-asss!" Sullivan's tap. Bruins game. Fight in the street. Yankees suck chant. Kelly's Roast Beef. Then back to Southy. Yup, hockey's back in Beantown. -
Sorry about the BotD.

I knew a guy from Australia who said the best sex he ever had was with an amputee. If pressed, he would admit that he'd prefer the stump to the rump every day. -
That Denver game is a horrible example. It was 28 to 3 with over 25 minutes to go in the game. The Pats scored 17 points in garbage time, which for this game, was the entire second half. Make no mistake, the only reason this game "looked" close to those who didn't have to witness it, was that Shanahan sat on a 25 point lead. When it looked like it was getting close, Denver just stopped them. The Pats last drive, when they were down by 8 points (note that a FG wouldn't get it done...no Vinatieri to bail him out this time), and needed their "Hall of Fame" QB to put a great drive together with 5 minutes to go, mustered a drive of...drum roll...20 yards. Denver then ran out the clock. Hardly a drive befitting Brady's placement in the pantheon of gridiron heros his bandwagon fans already have him in. But not shocking for those of us who know that he's really just a slightly better than mediocre QB.

I hope the Bills aren't overlooking the Raiders

I mentioned it in another thread, but I'll say it here, too. I believe this game is even more important than the Pats game. The Bills can not go into Foxboro 3-4. That would be too much pressure for this team to have to play the Pats at home in primetime with basically the season on the line. I'm not saying they can't win that game, but if they lose to Oakland then the Pats, and head into the bye at 3-5 they are cooked. Also, it is imperitive that this team prove to itself that it can win on the road before they head to Foxboro. A 4-3 record, with a 3 game winning streak coming off a road win...that would be some serious momentum that can be built upon. Even if they lose to the Pats, they would only be 4-4 heading into their bye, with a final half of the season where I don't think it's unrealistic that they could go 6-2. This Oakland game is huge. The Pats game would be a nice statement to the league that they are for real, but the Oakland game is, in my opinion, their season. -
Kent Brockman: Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over- 'conquered' if you will- by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthmen or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here.

That's because in the '80s they were all Giants fans.

CNN just reported that Condi said the troops could be there ten more years (I'll look for a link). Think she'll recant that when she's running as Jeb's VP? Edit: Found it...link -
By the time they get to this game Belicheck will have had three weeks of film on Holcomb starting, and two weeks to prepare. They'll stack the line against Willis, and make it so Holcomb will have to beat them. Can the Bills win this game? Absolutely. But even against the quickly sinking Good-Ship "Dynasty" captained by a slightly better than mediocre QB , they'll have to play a hell of a game. That Oakland game is pretty huge, to tell you the truth. They need to prove to themselves that they can win a game on the road. They can't go into The Tampon on a Sunday night after a road loss and a 3-4 record. That would put too much pressure on them to win that game. If anything, the Oakland game is the bigger of the two for this team.
