Josh Allen Failed His First Big Test
BITE ME replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give the NE defense some credit and give Allen some credit for making half-time adjustments and putting together that great drive to start the 2nd half. He just needs to stop making bad risky decisions throwing the ball downfield and take what the Defense gives him. It was not a great game, but certainly not as bad is it looks. He also looked pretty bad. Jameis is not a good quarterback. He is a solid NFL starter if you don't want to win anything. -
Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?
BITE ME replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barkley is better than Peterman. He is much more like a Trent Dilfer, who won a Super Bowl with an elite defense. I think he is good enough to manage a game and beat anyone if the Defense dominates and they get the running game going. -
The Bills Defense Just Gave a Master Class

They were a bigger problem. Blocked punts happen but they don't determine the future of a team. If the QB keeps forcing the ball down the field they will NEVER win the a championship. It is easy to clean up punt protection. It is hard to get a QB to make better decisions. -
They just proved they are an ELITE team. They just played head to head with the team favored to win the Super Bowl. And this team is young. Watch out.

Barkley is actually a very good quarterback. In fact I was a little worried if he drove down the field and won 17-16 that the Bills would stick with Barkley for the rest of the season, or at least have fans screaming for him after every bad Allen game. He is a good QB. A great backup QB.

They were playing the world champions. The Pats make teams make mistakes. The getting sacked out of FG range is something young quarterbacks do. If he is doing it still in week 16 I would be concerned. He learned a lot from this game. At least I hope he did.

The Bills Defense Just Gave a Master Class

The offense was not atrociously bad. They just played against a defense that is elite. The turnovers by Allen were killer, but the offense played well. They had nearly 400 yards of offense and were 2 yards away from taking the lead in the 4th quarter. This offense is going to get better. It is basically 10 new players that will get better as they gel. -
horrible game decisions my Coach McD

The Defensive game plan was an A. The overall coaching was a B+. He made some great decisions when it came to making adjustments at half-time. They were the first team in 5 games to score a TD on that defense. They played a VERY good game, and made the mistakes you expect from a young team. We forget they were down 6 with the ball on the 2 yard line late in the game against the world champions. This was an EXCELLENT all around game. Allen just threw too many picks. Special teams mistakes cost them 10 points too. No complaints. This is what you want in week 4. By week 16 the Bills will clean these things up. The rematch will be a good one. -

He can't make those same mistakes. This was a home game. You make mistakes like that on the road and teams bury you. He keeps forcing the ball down the field and he will be watching Matt Barkley the second half of the season. I doubt he will. Pretty confident he will learn to take what defenses give him. -
The Bills don't need anything. They have a Super Bowl caliber roster. They proved today they are on par with the team favored to win the Super Bowl. They need to execute and not make stupid mistakes. This team cleans things up and keeps improving, they are going to have a chance to win the whole thing. Can't make mistakes.

EXCELLENT effort by the Bills. It is only week 4. You learn from it and move on. The biggest thing that came out of this game is that the Bills are VERY capable of beating the Patriots. And the Chiefs look vulnerable too. If the young Bills team keeps improving, and they get hot at the end of the year, this team can win the whole thing. This is the first team since the 1990's that can play with ANYONE in the NFL. Great game. Week 4 only matters for non-playoff teams. This Bills team is going to the playoffs.

Coaching was not the problem. Josh Allen was the problem. He just kept forcing passes down the field. The overall coaching was a solid B+. A for Defense. -
Leslie Frazier is the MVP of this franchise

Bills Offense is not that bad. It has one problem. Josh Allen forces WAY too many passes downfield. If he learns to take what the defense gives him, this offense is a good offense capable of winning a Super Bowl. When the Bills win the Super Bowl he will be a hot commodity. -

Excellent coach but Beane is the MVP. Tre White. Tremaine Edmunds. Ed Oliver. They are all going to the Hall of Fame one day. This was just BRILLIANT drafting. -
Few opportunities to beat two legends...
BITE ME replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to beat them in the playoffs. Let's face it, win or lose tomorrow the Patriots are going to the playoffs. This is no longer about making the playoffs or winning a division for the Bills. It is about winning a championship. They are not good enough to win a Super Bowl right now, but they might be come January. The Defense is Super Bowl caliber. It all depends on whether or not the offense comes around. No reason why the Bills can't win the whole thing this year. It is hard to see how the Bills of week 4 beat the Pats of week 4. The Bills offense is just not there yet. -
They are UNDEFEATED with 2 road wins. He gets an A.
-
This may also be the best Pats team the Bills have faced in ten years, maybe longer. I think the regular season games between these two mean very little. Think they will see each other in AFC Playoffs.

Bill Belichick does not use Analytics
BITE ME replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He does not use analytics to make decisions. Analytics are not the same as looking at things in an analytic way. Analytics are making your decisions based on data. He uses film. Not raw data. He is a gut type thinker. Always has been. That is why he is so difficult to coach against. He is a master at looking at film, not raw data, and finding your weakness and exploiting it with his players skill sets. Data often doesn't show a weakness. He is of the old school crown like Parcells and Jimmy Johnson who always trusted their guts. -
QUESTION. Any one know if the Bills Mafia guy who blew himself up with explosives is ok? Saw it on twitter. Thanks.

The Brady Instagram post with his father and son was pretty good. Have to give Brady credit for hyping the game. If the Bills offense was further along he probably would be concerned. Brady know the Pats Defense right now if a historically good defense. You can't make a single mistake against them.
-
The Patriots Defense is better than the Bills. I believe their Defense has not given up a touchdown in 4 games. That is the Super Bowl against Rams and three games this year. The Bills will struggle to score. I bet the game in December in New England will be closer. I see a Pats 24-10 win. I suspect the Bills Offense will improve as year goes on. Can see a game like 24-21 in week 16. Bills vs Pats in AFC championship game. By January the Bills offense should be peaking. Third times the charm. Would love to beat 17-0 Pats in AFC championship game. Would erase all the years of losing to Brady.

NFL is going to everything possible to get a Pats vs Cowboys Superbowl.
