It isn't strength of schedule. In is AFC record. The Bills will have one lose to the Patriots. The Patriots have will have two AFC losses to the Bills and Ravens.

What is to explain? If the Patriots lose tonight the Bills control their own destiny. They win out and they are the #1 seed in the AFC. Period.
