I know it's way early and that I'll change my mind several times between now and April, but my opinion at this point is... Manti Te'o GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .

While reading your very astute and not-at-all-completely-uninformed analysis, eball, I was reminded of the Bills' 1990 season when they went 0-4 in the preseason - then went on to a 13-3 regular season, and four consecutive AFC Championships. Chan Gailey knows, as Marv knew, that preseason W-L record is meaningless. And to that, I will add just one more word... GO BILLSSS!!!! What are you expecting tonight,Bills vs the Vikings?

I am expecting to enjoy a very pleasant Friday evening of beer and Bills football from the supine comfort of my sofa... GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! -
Bills could challenge for Division

Compared to the Bills prototype WR of late, Harvin seems a bit on the 'smallish' side But I'd at least give him a tryout, if the Vikings cut him GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .

I'm not a fan of unusual behavior or crazy celebrations after touchdowns, though I have to admit that Stevie's were pretty damn creative and gave me huge laughs. All I ask for from the officials and from the league is fairness - if they're gonna penalize SJ for his own unique behavior after he scores, they better also penalize Tebow for his. GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

I agree completely and believe that'll becomes the plan very quickly, especailly if Lindell founders at all this season. (After all, Lindell missed a 22 yard chip shot that could have been the Bills margin of victory in Buffalo's loss to the Redskins last week - meanwhile, Potter has been been hitting 50+ yd FGs in practice while knocking every kickoff out of the endzone.) BTW, the same probably goes for Brad Smith - if Smith doesn't get cut this year, I still see the Bills grooming Josh Nesbitt to take over the "wildcat" role net season...

Jets' "offensive" offensive personnel
The Senator replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've said it before, I'll say it again - I see the Jets finishing 4th in the division, behind Buffalo, NE*, and Miami... GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! -
Jets' "offensive" offensive personnel
The Senator replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My prediction... TOTAL HUMILIATION for the inept Rex Ryan and his circus-sideshow roster of talentless, ersatz professional athletes. The season opener will be over mid-way thru the first quarter, as the Bills overwhelm the ill-prepared and poorly coached Jets... Buffalo Bills 74 New Jersey Jets - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! Seahawks have a good problem to have
The Senator replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So a rookie QB comes in to play the 2nd half of the first preseason game, his team already leading 10-3, and puts up some decent numbers against Tennessee's scrubs. The local press in Seattle goes nuts over the guy. After 30 minutes of football against the 9-7 Tennessee Titan's scrubs that will be cut in two weeks. And it's all that is necessary for a few delusional TSW QB experts to annoint the guy "the real deal", a future HOFer, and whine that Nix should have drafted him over TJ Graham -
The Bills can accomplish the same thing with a far less expensive, far more talented, and far more versatile player like current safety (and former Georgia Tech QB) Josh Nesbitt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syQm4UtOF-M .
-
If Smith stays, it won't be because of his talent, which is marginal, or his performance on the field, which has been non-existent. The only reason for keeping him on the roster would have to be his superior intellect.
-
Josh Nesbitt can easily handle the 'wildcat' and emergency QB duties (and outplay Brad Smith), making Smith a wasted roster spot - and a waste of money. .
-
To be completely fair, I'm pretty sure Chan had plans for Nesbitt, and Nesbitt likely would likely have had a decent college career under Gailey. (Gailey certainly gets the credit for recruiting the kid to Georgia Tech.) Unfortunately Chan was already running out of time at GT, as there was already a "Fire Gailey Now" campaign underway (one that should seem very familiar to Bills fans of late)... Link - Fire Chan Gailey
-
He didn't do much - Gailey recruited him out of H.S. as a rusher, then got fired as GT's head coach after Nesbitt's freshman season. But Nesbitt had a great career at GT under Paul Johnson (after Gailey) until he broke his arm in Nov. of his senior year... Joshua Nesbitt: The Runner Still, I'm sure Gailey is aware of Josh Nesbitt's talent at the QB position and remembers why he recruited Nesbitt to Georgia Tech, as evidenced by these two back-to-back plays as a freshman QB (while Gailey was still head coach)...
-
I still think that having Josh Nesbitt on the roster as a safety makes this whole "3rd QB" position a wasted roster spot anyway. In an emergency, Nesbitt can step in as 'disaster QB' just like he did last season - or, for that matter, run the "wildcat" or "spread option" (whatever we want to call it these days), just like he did at Georgia Tech (and the reason Gailey recruited him there) - which makes keeping Smith even harder to justify. Concerned about QB and our offense?
The Senator replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our offense will be great, our defense will be great, our season will be great. My only concern is whether my liver can handle shots for every Bills touchdown... GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to be undefeated...I expect to win every game." - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!! -

D.Bell demoted to second team in Philly
The Senator replied to Max997's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It took him 27 years to figure out that his name is Demetress. There's not much hope that he'll figure out the Eagles system in a few weeks. -
The Bills curently have on their roster: Ryan Ritzpatrick Vince Young Tyler Thigpen Brad Smith Josh Nesbitt FWIW, I doubt that they're shopping for a QB. JMO. Now the Redskins, OTOH...they might be looking for a QB, after the Bills D rolls out the Welcome Wagon for RGIII tonite GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

If that conclusion is that it's politically expedient to - at every available opportunity - express support for keeping the Bills in Buffalo whenever a TV camera, microphone, or newspaper scribe is nearby, then I believe Governor Corleone already came to that realization some time ago! GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .

NFL RUMOR: Bills close to waiving Vince Young
The Senator replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pure nonsense from another moronic, adolescent, wannabe sports columnist with no abolutely knowledge or contacts, but - thanks to the internet - a gullible, believing audience that is so thirsty for Bills news that any fiction quickly made-up to fill column space and meet a deadline will do nicely. There ought to be strict rules on TSW about posting crap like that. Seriously. There went 5 minutes of my life that I can't have back. Vince Young WILL be the Bills backup QB this season. No "ifs or buts" about it. But for those still thirsting for the latest Bills news and thinking they'll get it from that sophomoric dolt, here's more breaking news by Adam McGill... "The Bills must win more than 8 games this season if they hope to have a winning record." -
Schumer To Announce Plan To Keep Bills In Buffalo
The Senator replied to uncle flap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And how many plans to keep the Bills in WNY has Chuckie previously announced already, over how many years? Typical Schumer grandstanding, the day before the eyes of all WNYers will be focused on the Bills preseason opener at RWS. Just proves, once again, that there is no place more dangerous to be than between Chuck Schumer and a live TV camera. -
Aints* and Cheatriots* all asterisk scrimmage
The Senator replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Offering and accepting bounty payments for causing bodily harm - including game-and-career-ending injuries - to opposing players is indeed cheating, IMHO. (I believe that's why multiple Saints* players/coaches/front office personnel received signicant suspensions and fines - and why Greg Williams is suspended indefinitely (and probably will never hold an NFL job again.) OTOH, a former Bills HOF guard offers this much simpler opinion... "Drew Brees is a little piece of crap." - Joe DeLamielleure GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
