I know we're favored by 3, but road games are tough - gotta be conservative with my prediction this week... Buffalo Bills 103 Cleveland Browns - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!!

go to a different restaurant. When there's only one restaurant in town, the chef gets paid $10M/yrear, and you're spending 185 bucks a seat to dine there, you send the entree back to the kitchen and tell the chef to get it right - and you keep sending it back until he does. Fitz was booed, until he 'got it right'. The fans were letting him know that, for the money he's being paid, we're not going to tolerate being served up low-grade dog-food. Mario's breakfast cereal
The Senator replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I eat lots of it and find it quite tasty - and, for the locals anyway, it's on sale for $2.99/box at Tops. (I posted about it a few weeks ago.) And - before the criticism goes too far - I'm sure the web site operators and fulfillment companies are profiting, but 100% of Mario's proceeds go to Carly's Club & Roswell Park Cancer Institute to help children who are fighting cancer, and their families. As one who sees some of these kids on my own visits to Roswell, I applaud Mario Williams for lending his name to the cause. -

No, beware of moron ex-jocks like Sharpe & McNabb getting paid to fill airtime on NFL Network Although Baldinger's view suprised me - met him once, and he seemed like a smart fellow...until now... Buffalo Bills 57 Kansas City Chiefs - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! -
Do we really need stadium comfort improvements?
The Senator replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you ever been to Ralph Wilson Stadium??? (Serious question.) I used to have sideline seats in row 3 at the 20-yard line - at that part of the field, the front row IS roughly 10 yards from the field. The seats at RWS are already as close as logistically possible to the field of play. (Unless you have another idea about where to put the players bench, and plan to get rid of the cheerleaders.) -

My virtuous behaviour since those days has allowed my constituents to forgive my youthful transgressions. . -
You guys are trying way too hard to complicate an extremely simple equation... 6 TDs (w/PAT) + 2 FGs = 48 pts.

Judging from TSW and the media, I'm sure it may seem to you that Fitz - after just one loss and a very bad game - has lost all fan support (save for yours and mine). But take it from one who's been around here for a decade - what you've seen is just the usual chicken-little, sky-is-falling, knee-jerk over-reaction that is typical here on TSW after any loss. (Some will even react that way after a win!) Personally, I'm still confident that Fitz will be among the NFL's elite QBs this season, and he has my unwavering support. Trust me when I say that the bandwagon will need a bigger trailer this week, as all the fair-weather fans kill and maim each other while frantically trying to jump back aboard... Happy No-Punt Day: 20th Anniversary

Likewise - I was living on 'The Crookedest Street in the World' and my good friend 'The Dean' lived on Twin Peaks (under the giant roach clip). The Dean was a big muckety muck at one of the local TV stations, with a bar in his office, lots of attractive young quim working on his staff...er, um...under his management, and a private box at Candlestick that he commandeered for that game. I think it was mid-way thru the 3rd quarter when one of us realized out loud that neither team had punted yet. We may have enjoyed an adult beverage or two -

Yeah, I remember it, but the coldest game I ever went to was against the Jets - 1993, the day after Christmas. (I believe we clinched the AFC East that day.) Temp was just above 0 and it was windy as hell, making for a wind chill factor around 30-below. Much colder than the Raiders game in '88. Anyway, I was born the same year as the AFL and the Buffalo Bills. As a small child, almost got crushed by the mob of fans waiting to greet the championship Bills at the Thruway Plaza in 1964. My father put me up on his shoulders so I could see the players, and also to save me from being trampled to death! Still have a mini-football autographed by Daryle Lamonica. As a got a bit older, friends and I used to go out to (then) Rich Stadium in the mid-70's real early on game day, wait for the moment when no one was looking, and hop the fence. Once inside we'd walk around non-chalantly, and eventually stumbled upon the catering carts as they set up the private boxes. If someone stole a bottle of vodka from your private box back in those days, I apologize - I was a young teenager, and had no money (or vodka)! After college, went on to live in DC, then Boston, then San Francisco - where a couple of other Bills stallwarts and I started the whole SF Bills Backers/North Star thing. Some years back, made the decision to come back to take care of my aging parents - when I moved from California back to Buffalo, first purchase was Bills season tix. (Second was a 4WD vehicle.) Now, I'm the one that's aging - and never losing hope that this will be the year... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! -

Positives? With any luck at all, the throngs of fair-weather fans jumping off the bandwagon after one loss won't decide to jump back on next week and profess how much they 'Bill-ieve' Weeding out the annoying prophesiers of doom just longing for company in their pool of misery...I would take that as a postive. After all, when abandoning ship, women and children first, please... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! .
