  1. In remission. Diagnosed with liver cancer in 2012 - which, I've learned, has a mortality rate of 75% within 5 years, so I'm doin' fairly well! I've been seeing a lot of doctors and going through a few procedures since then. The good folks at Roswell Park Cancer Institue have taken, and continue to take, wonderful care of me.
  2. Honestly, New Era had about 3 days to "re-badge" an entire complex the size of "The Ralph", and get it done before tomorrow's game. What should they have done? Maybe some signage that states, "New Era - purveyor of caps to Major League Baseball for, like, forever, and representing Buffalo, NY worldwide with retail stores in NYC, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Paris, London, Berlin, and various other sites throughout the globe" ??? Get a grip. Ralph has a statue at the stadium, his name is - and always will be - on The Wall, & he's in the NFL Hall of Fame. What more does he need? He was fine with naming rights, his widow is, and we should be too. That is all I have on this topic.
  3. You know it, brother! Sorry, The Dean has forbidden me from any further prognostications, and I'm willing to see how that works. For a while, at least. OTOH, oh screw it... 19 & 0 baby!!!! GO BILLSSS!!!!
  4. I spent all of my anti-Bills vitriol long ago on Jason Peters - I have nothing more to say about these immature, overgrown adolescents..
  5. 16 and 4 baby... GO BILLLSSS!!!!
  6. We shut down the Jag-offs offffense for most of the game, then give up an 80-yard scoring drive with 3 minutes left The rap on Ryan is that his teams have always been undisciplined, as evidenced by the Bills on pace to set a new NFL are record in penalties. Stupid costly penalties at the most inopportune times, sloppy tackling, and a defense that has regressed from one of the league's best to one that can't get off the field or shut down a drive at the most critical times - that's all Ryan has delivered so far. People thought Rex could walk on water. Make him prove it - make him swim home from London.
  7. Fine - give up if you want, but I absolutely guarantee that the Bills will not lose this Sunday... GO BILLSSS!!!! 16 and 4 baby!!!!!
  8. "This is how I swing MY sword, Leach!"
  9. Last weekend was a fluke... SQUISH THE FISH!!!!! BUFFALO'S PROUD FOOTBALL BILLS - 36 South Florida's Penis-less Sea Mammals - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! (18 and 1 baby!!!!!)
  10. The only reason the Colts keep it so close is because we are missing Dareus... Bills - 42 Colts - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  11. I have but one word to add... 19 and 0, baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!!
  12. Ditto baby... 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!!!
  13. I still say the best bet is to annex the old Bethlehem site to Buffalo by eminent domain, clean up that toxic site and put a state-of-the-art lakefront stadium there. It has easy access to the NYS Thruway, Route 5, Milestrip, etc., plenty of rail infrastructure for mass transit, tons of acreage for parking, reasonable proximity to downtown, and even plenty of wind and hydro power, should someone wish to build a self-sufficient 'green' facility. Perhaps Pegula could even do a little fracking there.
  14. Because he can throw Marcel Dareus 80 yards downfield
  15. I would be all for signing and starting Ryan Mallett if we could also sign Mike Leach as offensive coordinator and QBs coach.
  16. It was Leach's 1st year at Washington State, and Tuel's final year. I don't think that Leach disliked Tuel or thought he lacked any skills - I think they just didn't have time to build any type of strong bond like Leach had with Graham Harrell at Texas Tech. Leach stated that Tuel never really got into any sort of winning rhythm due to injuries (broken collarbone twice) and coaching changes, but still thought he was a good QB and looked forward to seeing how he'd fare in the NFL. .
  17. I'd have to put my money on Tuel over Lewis, who is now on his fourth NFL team after failing to accomplish anything with St. Louis, Cleveland, or Detroit. Tuel has the highest completion % ever (61.4%) at Washington State, is only the 2nd QB to start for the Cougars as a true freshman (the other is former Bills QB Drew Bledsoe), and - of course - was coached by Mike Leach... GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 & 0 baby!!!!!
  18. Thanks, Deano. I have good days and bad days, but am feeling reasonably well. (Another trip to Roswell Park this Thursday.) I have no doubt that Pegula has experienced stadium architectural, engineering, and construction firms lined up and ready to go to work the day the deal is done. I also recall that RWS was conceived, designed, and built in less than three years. It can be done. Hey there, BeerSphere!!!
  19. Approximately two years after most of us ever even heard of Terry Pegula, his Harbor Center project stands nearly completed and ready to open (including two full-sized hockey rinks/arenas, which will be Canisius College's home ice, plus a 200 room full service hotel etc., etc.). The plan for such a project didn't exist until after Pegs bought the Sabres. He didn't own the land, nor were any environmental studies completed for such a project. Yet, here we are, two years later, the project stands nearly finished. Do not be so skeptical of Mr. Pegula's ability to complete a stadium project in three years (assuming, as I do, that he prevails in his bid to acquire the Bills).
