  1. Those are some very granular analytics, which I’m in no position to dispute. To me, rush-rush-pass sounds like the old Chuck Knox philosophy, obviously very outdated in today’s NFL. Mike Leach would never rush on 1st down. Nor 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. ? .
  2. That’s all cool. Perhaps it was a bit easier for me to ‘answer the bell’ because I lived in California, where the game is 3 hours earlier. .
  3. Absolutely agree 100%. Buffalo can’t afford a palace like AT&T Stadium etc., but a Lucas Oil type facility, with a few architectural enhancements and built to 70,000 capacity might be feasible.
  4. Actually, the SuperBowl has little effect on me or most of my friends, certainly no more than any other Sunday of NFL games. The only time it even would affect me would be if the Bills or my adopted home team were playing, as happened when I lived in DC in ‘82 and SF in ‘94, and obviously all 4 Bills games in the ‘90s. Even those 6 times, I never took Monday off, nor did I think I deserved to. If I thought I would have needed to, I would have scheduled a vacation day in advance. .
  5. I will eat my words. I’ll admit that, after the Bills lost a few, perhaps out of frustration, I said ‘bama could probably beat the Bills. I was so, so, so wrong. .
  6. I remember, when I wore a younger man’s clothes, back in 1983 when I lived in DC and the Redskins dominated Miami in Super Bowl 17. My friends and I celebrated til the bars finally threw us out, then we picked up a few female guests to take home and enjoy a game of naked Twister. ? The next morning, I woke up incredibly late, jumped under the water, quickly dressed and raced to the office, arriving around 10:30, wondering how much trouble i’d be in. i was the first one there!!! .
  7. No. Of course not. I assume, or at least hope that the OP is joking. What would be next ? The day after the World Series? Nationsl Holidays are to commemorate certain historic events. Winning a world championship, even the Red Sox in 2004, does not meet the standards. It should, however, be a “use a vacation day”, or a “puke your guts out and call in sick day”. .
  8. I don’t think the demand for tickets could be satisfied at 45,000-50,000. We’ve had more season ticket holders than that when we’re winning, or at least promising that we’re gonna be winning. ? Also, the NFL requires a stadium capacity of at least 70,000 to host the Super Bowl. So even if we build something that holds 65,000-68,000, which seem reasonable to me for a city our size, we still could never host a Super Bowl. Not saying we will, or could, ever host the Super Bowl, because the NFL also requires sufficient hotel capacity to host the guests.
  9. Rich may be historic in the hearts of many Bills fans because of the games and players we watched there, but it’s a dinosaur to the rest of the country. It was designed by the same firm that designed NE’s Sullivan Stadium, and the Patriots had no problem replacing that POS as soon as they possibly could. Don't misconstrue my remarks - I LOVE Rich, but just as War Memorial had to come down, so it’s time for Rich to do the same. I’m sure the county can make a boatload of money subdividing the land. Again, JMHO. .
  10. I don’t see how the corridors can be widened, nor more restrooms added, but then I’m neither an architect nor engineer. in any case, Lambeau Field is historic, as is Soldiers Field. It seems like a ridiculous waste of money to dump $250 million into Rich. JMO .
  11. As others have said, renovating Rich would just be putting lipstick on a 50-year old pig. The structure is inferior, the restrooms inadequate, and the corridors way too narrow. I’m in favor of a new downtown facility, preferably with a retractable roof, but Cuomo would have to come up with another Buffalo Billion for that to happen. .
  12. Even Mike Leach will tell you, “It all starts with the offensive line.” I hope Jonah Williams will still be available when we pick 9th, but I doubt it. .
  13. Wherever he goes, I hope he brings his fat brother with him! .
  14. I think Josh could throw the ball from Orchard Park to the Peace Bridge! ? .
  15. Well Jezuz H Christ, the only coach that runs 80 offensive plays is Mike Leach! ? .
  16. Like Buffalo Barbarian says... Super Bowl or bust 19 and 0 baby!!!!! GO BILLSSS!!!!!! ?? .
  17. If it’s not in Hawaii, no. .
  18. That was my freakin’ favorite!!!! ?
  19. When asked how he keeps turning out top QBs in the NCAA, ‘quarterback whisperer’ Mike Leach replied that you start with someone who’s already accurate, and you can pretty much teach them everything else. Funny thing is, I didn’t find Josh to be all that innacurate this season - his receivers either didn’t come back to the ball to bail him out, or they just kept dropping passes that hit them right in the hands. Or, in Benjamin’s case, they didn’t even try to catch the ball. Plus, half the time, he was running for his life. JMO .
  20. Toomy Boy sez he wants to play until he’s 45! Dude’s contract expires after next season - it’ll be interesting to see just how much Kraft loves him. https://www.upi.com/Sports_News/NFL/2018/12/26/New-England-Patriots-QB-Tom-Brady-reiterates-plan-to-play-beyond-2019/5591545845614/ .
  21. Does anyone remember those Jim Kelly commercials, “Don’t rock the boat,” about fan behavior (back when Bills fans were considered by some to be the most ill-behaved fans in the league)? Everyone has a right to cheer or boo any team. No one has the right to be a drunken idiot, drop the f-bomb in front of a bunch of children, or generally ruin the fan experience for everyone around them. .
  22. I tend to agree with the OP - there certainly was no rebuilding this season, only tearing apart. And I’m not sold on Mc Dermott or his staff.
  23. Like many, I want a win, but am resigned to this being a lost season. Other than Allen, I don’t really see that we did any rebuilding - only tearing apart. I’ll accept a loss, if it lands us Jonah Williams. .
