Jussie Smallette (Alleged) Self Inflicted Hoax Assault
The Senator replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in Off the Wall
The Grand Jury wasn’t buying Jussie’s crap either. . -
Saw them open for the Stones in ‘89, at Foxboro. They were awesome. .

Hunter Thompsons 10 Best Albums of the 60's
The Senator replied to T&C's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Good question! I read that he and Zappa were high school buddies, or neighborhood pals, or something like that. But if I had to guess, I’d say Beefheart’s inspiration came from some illicit substance. Never really appreciated his own stuff, but loved him on Bongo Fury. . -

Zappa was very anti-drugs (fired Stevie Vai for smoking pot). HST was quite the opposite ? . -
I don’t recall hearing that, but I haven’t followed closely... https://www.ticketnews.com/2019/01/raiders-season-ticket-holders-new-stadium/ If they did have a deal in place, you’d think they’d be selling tickets. Plus, if they plan to co-exist with another team, they’d have to let the league - or leagues - know, for scheduling purposes. OTOH, it should be easy to sell out 36,000 seats at Sam Boyd Stadium. . .
-
Where would they play in California? The Raiders aren’t even selling tickets for 2019. Certainly not Oakland, Santa Clara, San Diego, or LA. Don’t see the Giants sharing Oracle Park either. Berkeley? Doubt it. Palo Alto? Don’t think so. Wouldn’t they have to announce their home field before the schedule is released, especially if they’re planning to share a home field with another NFL team? Maybe Pasadena. Yeah, that’s it. Lots of little old ladies from there. ? .

Bills have interest in Seattle DE Frank Clark
The Senator replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see - thanks. Presumably, in this case, Seattle would not match, but take the 2 firsts, yes? . -

I’m on the McBeane bandwagon. He has stated that 1)We will be very active, but judicious, in Free Agency 2)As long as he’s GM, we’ll never be in cap hell 3) As long as he’s GM, we’ll never draft a player out of need The first two, I believe - the last, not so much. In Belicheat’s 1st 3yrs w/NE, they were 5-11, 11-5, 9-7. If we go 10-6 this season, McBeane will have the same 3-yr W-L record. By that yardstick, Beane is probably on the right track. We’ll find out this season and in 2020. Now go sign C Matt Paradis, RT Daryl Williams, WR Tyrell Williams, and draft LT Jonah Williams! .

It’ll be interesting to see how the Steelers play this. Obviously no one will touch Brown at Pittsburgh’s price and for the money he thinks he deserves. The Steelers will lower their asking price by end of next week, when they have to pay Brown a roster bonus btwn $2.5-4M, depending on who you believe. Whatever Brown/Rosenhaus want is fairly irrelevant. Although both would like to make more money from the trade, I don’t see it. Brown is damaged goods and, so far, no one wants him. Even as a UFA, I don’t see him getting a raise. .

I had no idea he was a football player at Syracuse, a swim coach at Akron, an idol in Japan (awarded the Order of the Rising Sun), once wrestled an alligator and a bear (beat both), and shaved off Gorgeous George’s hair in front of 10,000! Also a surrogate father to the DiPaulo kids after Ilio died, and did a boatload of charity work. Don’t know about the outfit, But hope the mask stays with him. .

TV Shows You Want Revived
The Senator replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Boston Legal - but James Spader is busy and has no hair, and I can’t imagine how William Shatner, Candice Bergen, Rene Auberjonois, and John Larroquette look today. Julie Bowen still looks stunning on Modern Family. . -
Should Ian Rapaport Be Drawn and Quartered?
The Senator replied to Búfalo Blanco's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, Bricktop (from the movie ‘Sn*tch’) should feed him to the pigs! (Geez, I can’t believe that got censored) .
