  1. Have to agree with 99.9% of this - all save for "He was exiled to Canada because of the prejudice against small quarterbacks." JMO - but he was exiled to Canada because he crossed the picket line in '87. He was traded from the Bears to the Cheatriettes* in '87 with the [Cheatriettes*-imposed] condition that he would cross the picket line that strike season, which he did, and charges that he was a 'scab' dogged him for years thereafter. Again, JMO. Personally, I liked the lousy scab. Thought he was way better than that fruitcake Rob Johnson.
  2. Here I was, SJBF, hoping for another Jauron parody and instead you get all profound on me! Anywho, we all know of T.O.'s proclivity for high drama so, in this particular instance, the owner may have - albeit inadvertently - just gotten some free exposure for his back-on-the-market-again property. He should send T.O. a thank you card.
  3. Wow - that was absolutely unbearably stupid. Painful. What 12-year-old threw that together? Can I please have the last 40 seconds of my life back?
  4. So this old broad, calls herself "The Queen of England" or some schitt like that, goes and pays $1.4M for a house on Soldiers Place in Buffalo that's - get this - valued at $750K!
  5. Our BuffTown Football Bills 34 Marcia Brady's Provincetown Cheatriettes* 0 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!
  6. See you there... 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!
  7. Herbie Seigel's one of the most prominent divorce/personal injury attorneys in WNY (I believe it was Seigel's firm that represented Marshawn Lynch's Canadian hit-and-run victim). I don't think Herbie's giving any of that extra cash/overpayment to Byron Brown any time soon.
  8. Yes - they signed Flutie from the CFL for, I believe, the vet minimum of about $250K, promising him he'd have a fair chance to compete for the starting QB position, then promptly traded a #1 pick for Johnson, gave him a $10M deal, and named him the starter before training camp even began, IIRC. No reason for Flutie to be upset.
  9. Apologies for the 'dumb Canadians' remark. It was a joke, based on the fact that they seem to have overpaid - way overpaid - for that piece of property, but it was dumb of me and I do apologize. Mea maxima culpa.
  10. Well, the day is young here (though early evening there) and I haven't checked Her Twitter page, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Liz fly into a fit of apoplectic rage when She finds out that both the address and sale price were published in the highly prominent publication, The Buffalo Snooze!!! She may even back out when She discovers that She paid $1.4M for a home that sold for only $540K in 2004, and that was recently valued for only $750K! Damn that Herbie Siegel.
  11. Well, actually, The Queen won't be living there - the house is for Canadian Consul General Stephen Brereton. But you already know that because you read the article And, since you did, you probably saw that is was prominently covered in the press - not on TV, but on the front page of the BN City Section. Even gave the exact address. Also metioned the price - which, btw, is probably double the house's actual value. (Dumb Canadians.) And, also btw, if I rent a property to someone who doesn't take possession and start paying rent until July 1st, I can do whatever the fk I want with my property between now and then - including media tours, if I so please.
  12. Now if you really think so, I'll sell you my last two boxes
  13. So The Queen manages to find a house in BuffTown (several, in fact) - the Fking Queen of England (!!!) - yet that attention-starved, mentally-arrested, 36-year-old adolescent can't find a place to 'hang his hat' for the next 6 months??? link
  14. So Fat Stupid Lazy Load Jason Peters undeservedly gets 'named' to the Pro Bowl - based soley on name recognition, and despite leading the league in sacks-allowed - and folks claim he's God-like, while Flutie wins Comeback Player of the Year Award and Pro Bowl honors but folks say he just wasn't very good. Love the consistency.
  15. You want him to go back to Randolph, NJ?
  16. Uh, no. You must be comparing these places to the pristine beauty of Buffalo's Fruit Belt maybe? Or the Genessee Street Corridor? Perhaps the Broadway/Fillmore area? Or possible the gorgeous, gorgeous Lower West Side? Having lived in DC, Newport RI, Boston, and San Francisco - and having spent much time in the others, I can state incontrovertibly that you're mistaken.

  22. Aren't they noisy? Tough to park, too, when you want to go out.
  23. Yes yes..."IF"... And, if not...well, I'd think Mo has grounds for some sort of legal action for T.O.'s public accusation, no? Such a litigious society we live in...
  24. Hey, if it saves lives... Hit-run driver pleads guilty in Hilbert student's death "In canvassing the area around the crime scene, Town of Hamburg detectives learned that an SUV matching the description of the hit-and-run vehicle visited the drive-through window of a restaurant just minutes before the accident and was captured on the restaurant’s surveillance camera."
