  1. You shoulda kicked his queer ass all the way back to the Castro.
  2. Tell that to... Art Donovan The mere suggestion that guys like Jim Brown, Cookie Gilchrist, Dick Butkus, Mike Ditka, etc., wouldn't absolute chew today's pampered pus-sies up and spit them out seems somewhat ignorant. JMO.
  3. Oh I'm sure he means the Bills too - just pointing out that every other team is in the same boat, except that our camp opens about a week earlier than most. So we'll probably have our picks signed about a week before anyone else - wonder if you'll see a post about that?
  4. Bukowski's got nothin' on us, what with bein' dead and all.
  5. Umm...because it tastes better??? Actually it doesn't taste like scotch but has a different and somewhat heavier quality than most Irish whiskeys. BTW - Jameson was a Scot.
  6. You will no doubt be fascinated that Bukowski died on March 9th, the natal anniversary of one... Mike Leach
  7. You talkin' about the Bills, or every other NFL team?
  8. In Northern Ireland, you would be shot for drinking Jameson... Black Bush
  9. That's a great site, SJBF - and Marty Biniasz & Eddie Dobosiewicz run some great tours of some of those forgotten treasures, if you ever have the chance to take one. Here's a few other other great BuffTown sites worth bookmarking... Buffalo Architecture & History Buffalo as an Architectural Museum The Buffalonian Karl R. Josker Galleries And one of my favorites... Rushing the Growler - A History of Brewing in Buffalo
  10. Well yes - this is a given, and it must be done - but those Whammy Weenies seem like they'd make a helluva racket if used appropriately and carefully orchestrated - a big fan of using noisemakers to distract the opposition is none other than... Mike Leach 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! REVERSE THE CURSE!!!!!
  11. As JW stated, that article seems to be on something of a 'continuous loop' on msn.com, and floats back to the top every few weeks. I believe it first appeared at least 4 months ago. Call me an optimist, but the Bills will be here forever... GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  12. Kudos, but I really think JW was aiming his rebuttal mainly at the other John - that nattering nabob of negativism - and his twisting and misquoting of facts and printed articles simply to support his hopeless hysterical hypochondria. I don't know how he (JohnC) or those of his ilk even manage to get out of bed in the morning, and sometimes I wish they wouldn't... 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! REVERSE THE CURSE!!!!!
  13. Hey Ya! OutKast + Shaft = T.O. link
  14. All I can say is, if you're unhappy with your placekicker, follow the example of... Mike Leach
  15. As I said a couple of weeks ago, guy's been here before under a different screen name - several, actually. He was an ass hole then, and he's an ass hole now.
  16. Nice review Lori - and I can't wait to read the book. As for bringing Jim et al here for Q&A, I'm not sure I'd do that to my my worst enemy!
  17. But Gogolak went to Cornell. Anyway, I'll take the 'average' Rian Lindell over the World Champion Steeler's... Jeff Reed
  18. I think the idea is to start a new thread every 10 minutes - then keep posting in his own threads. SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBY
  19. Well, certainly the kick he missed against the 17-16 loss to the Colts in '06, or the miss with a minute to go in last season's 29-27 Monday nite loss to Cleveland would count as 'clutch', IMO. But here's something I didn't know 'til now - Lindell has never (and I hate saying this, for obvious reasons) missed a PAT - he's 282/282 and holds the NFL record for consecutive PATs. I tend to agree that Lindell's career stats are very close to or on a par with any of the elite placekickers - I think the big dropoff in FG % from 92% in '06 to 78% in '08 is what causes some of the angst your seeing here.
  20. fixed That is the worst part about The Ralph - plus the corridors are too narrow, once they started allowing the push-cart vendors inside. The game atmosphere, sight-lines, etc. are all great, IMO better than Gillette or other so-called state-of-the-art stadia, but the place could definitely use more porcelain.
  21. I'm more confused about agnotology than I was before I read that.
  22. I don't care what the other guys in this video say - we all know the answer is... Bruuuuuuuuuce
  23. So what winning coach makes less than $3M/year, has no buy-out clause, and doubles as his own Offensive Coordinator? You know who.
