  1. Sadly, we had to institutionalize my poor old demented uncle - listening to too much Rush eventually sapped his mind until he finally wasted away to a pathetic, drooling, nonsense-babbling vegetable, sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
  2. If the Bills go 10-6 this season, folks will consider his methods wise and Jauron will be hailed as a genius who has just ushered in the latest Bills dynasty. OTOH, if they go 6-10, we could be looking at... Mike Leach
  3. Fascinating, and indeed quite true - most people that I know do not use their coffee cup for coffee, but rather as a receptacle for their pencils!
  4. You have excellent recall, Dean. I believe my uncle may have once owned a pencil - not a red one, mind you - but I've never seen him keep one in his pencil box, which he uses for his other various assorted tchotchke.
  5. I agree with much of what Biscuit stated throughout this thread- but regarding his frequent references to the NE Cheatriettes* work ethic, what some folks don't realize is that the Patriettes* '2-a-day's' are held in Provincetown, MA and consist mainly of full contact drills on Herring Cove Beach... link
  6. My uncle has a red pencil box.
  7. No cheeseburger will be safe.
  8. Good point, Deano - in order to be 'witty', one must posses at least a modicum of wit.
  9. No, I was talking about YOUR fingers - YOU were the one who started a thread asking for help counting to seven
  10. Maybe during the time they went to four consecutive Superbowls, and there were beaucoup side stories about 'the Bickering Bills'? Maybe when Polian consummated the 3-team blockbuster deal that brought Cornelius Bennett to Buffalo? Maybe when Flutie came here and ended up being the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year? Maybe after the "Music City Miracle, or the 'Greatest Comeback in NFL History'? F&ck no, it's not just "common sense". Dude made a wild assertion, as he frequently does, backed by no collateral data whatsoever.
  11. What collateral information will you use to support your wild guess? Link please?
  12. wooooosssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... (that was the sound of something going right over your head)
  13. I think Spurrier's a freakin' a-hole. The difference between Spurrier and Leach is that Spurrier's an arrogant jerk who openly expressed contempt for the long hours and dedication of most NFL coaches, stupidly thinking he could slack off - maybe sqeezing in as many leisurely rounds of golfs as he liked - and still be as successful as the guys who put in 20-hour days and sleep on cots at the stadium. Leach, while justifiably confident, is just not that stupid. (You do realize that Leach graduated early from BYU, has a Masters in Coaching Science, and a law degree from Pepperdine, yes?) (link)
  14. Ah yes...another very foggy 7 years....
  15. ”I had a bowl of “TO’s” myself before I came out, so it made for a good day.” http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/07/25/o...d-in-rochester/
  16. Shawn Nelson is practicing this afternoon... http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/07/25/nelson-practicing/

  19. 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!!
  20. I noticed that as well. Trentie seemed to be in a daze - perhaps dreaming of Ms. Fanning once again. I thought Fitz looked much sharper, more poised, and more confident on the 2 passes to Reed.
  21. Must be those 7 years I spent in The Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts!
  22. That country has always been more progressive, more-forward-thinking, more pragmatic on those types of issues. Cannabis is a legitimate and lucrative target for taxation in our country as well. The sooner we come to grips with that reality, the sooner we can not only realize a revenue windfall, but also a drastic reduction in the costs associated with enforcing our archaic marijuana laws.
  23. Mr J - I did not mean the wedding couple might get 'called out' by an employer for their silliness. (Although I'd fire 'em both tomorrow! ) I was merely expounding on my earlier admonition to Young Sage to never - especially when being recorded for posterity - do something (or wear something) that you will one day "look back on with astonished regret". As an example, I cited that the kids in this photo that I linked... link ...might someday have to explain the mohawks and bizarre attire of their misguided youth to their own kids - or worse - a prospective employer. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
  24. If you think what they did was "exceptional", then YOU have bad taste! (Likewise, JMO.)
