  1. The Bills have shown that they are willing to rework the contracts of deserving players. They already did it once for Peters, and would have done it again, I'm sure, after they got the Evans situation resolved, but Peters proved to be a petulant ass hole, and gave a half-assed effort last season because he didn't get what he wanted when he wanted it. Guy also failed to finish the last two seasons due to injury, and apparently is now on the Eagles PUP list. The Bills have certain expectations of how a player should behave while posturing for more $$$, and Mr. 6-Wonderlic apparently couldn't quite break that code.
  2. NFL's Coldest Football Games Ever 9. Jan. 15, 1994 - Ralph Wilson Stadium - AFC Playoff: Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Raiders - Temperature: 0 degrees / Wind chill: -32 degrees
  3. Absolutely will keep an eye on the new league, and root for Losman to do well. Wish things had worked out better for him here in Buffalo, but 'them's the breaks', I guess.
  4. $60 Million contract, $24Million guaranteed - I'd say he's already having a great year! Guy can buy a helluva lot of Arby's with that scratch. Too bad he probably won't have that great a year on the football field, but he's the Eagles' problem now. ProBowl Peters New Eagles LT Jason Peters admitted at his introductory press conference that he didn't know he gave up more sacks than any left tackle in the league last year. Peters' 11.5 sacks allowed was worst among blindside tackles. "That’s the first time I’ve heard that stat," he said. "I don’t recall giving up that many. If they charged me with that many, so what?"
  5. WTF you talking about? "Wishing for players to get hurt?" Where'd you get that nonsense? All I said is the guy's a bum - which he demonstrated last season by dogging it all year 'cause the Bills didn't cave in to his petulant demands. Guy's got a $60M contract with $24M guaranteed - what does he care about playing football?
  6. Pro Bowl Peters? Guess we won't be missing the bum all that much after all. Wonder if he gets voted to Hawaii if he sits on the IR list all season?
  7. I hope he does sign with the Cheatriettes*. I expect the guy's pretty well washed-up as an NFL QB - wasn't very good to begin with, is now 30 years old, and hasn't played a down in over two years. It'll be a PR disaster out there in The Peoples' Republic Of Massachusetts. link
  8. Walker played fine in the games that FatBoy sat out last year. Not really worried about the o-line at all - there's no way Walker could be any worse than that stupid lazy POS Peters was on this play...
  9. So cold, I burned holes in my gloves tending the bonfire 'cause I wouldn't take them off. Back in those days, you could still take a thermos full of hot (Irish) coffee into the stadium which helped ease the sting - the Bills took care of the rest.

  14. For years, maybe even to this day, I hated Glenn Close after that movie. (An indicator of what a fine actress she is, to be sure, but how could anyone not sympathize with poor Ms. Archer, particularly after the rabbit stew?)
  15. I'm listening to Duane Allman right now - I think, maybe one day, I'll write the Donald Grout equivalent of rock' n' roll history...maybe...
  16. Of course it is. So is poverty. Your point?
  17. Don't get all 'SKOOOOOOOOOOOBY' on me now, Chef...no you can't

  20. Uh oh...I think SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBY may be after me... Linda Lou America's largest yachts #32 What it's doing here, I haven't a clue - other than getting refueled by two NOCO tanker trucks! Apparently it came down thru the Seaway... ShipWatcher Can't find a 'build' cost (somewhere 'North' of $30M, I'm sure) costs $495K/week to charter. Wow! Just freakin' wow. Maybe T.O found a place to live?
  21. Well, not quite - Marv/Ted/Kelly 'adopted' it after it was 'introduced' to them by Sam Wyche & the Bengals... "The first team to employ the no-huddle approach as the normal offensive play strategy was the 1988-89 Cincinnati Bengals under Sam Wyche with Boomer Esiason as the quarterback. The no-huddle approach was used by many teams before but in specific situations for a limited time. This strategy proved to be very effective in limiting substitutions, creating fatigue in the opposing defense, creating play-calling issues for the defense, and various other advantages. The Bengals' regular employment of the no-huddle was sufficiently controversial that the league experimented with mid-season rules changes to discourage its use. The employment of the no-huddle propelled the Bengals to their second appearance in the Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills, defeated in the AFC Championship game by the no-huddle Bengals, soon adopted their approach. With Jim Kelly quarterbacking a no-huddle "K-Gun" offense, the Bills became the only team in NFL history to appear in four consecutive Super Bowls, from 1991-1994." link Suffice to says the Bills certainly 'perfected' the No-Huddle, and used it more successfully than ever seen - before or since. GO BILLSSS!!!!
  22. Mine would be Lou Saban - especially in this 50th Anniversary year. Come on, Ralph - bury the hatchet.... Lou Saban
  23. OK... The inimitable Chrissy Hynde
  24. What's amazing its that it took him a whole 8 minutes to see it here, do a 'cut & paste' and post it there - verbatim. SKOOB's slowin' down - must be tough trying to flood every Bills board out there with 'inside knowledge'. Wonder if they know about his BMW, his mansion (the one next to Golisano's), and his yacht over there on BB.com?
